Politics / Incrab Lauds Buhari Over Policy To Divert Vessels To Eastern Ports. by Sosoboy4: 2:16pm On Feb 03, 2020
Convinced that this is one of the most genuine demonstrations of the federal government’s commitment towards the ease of doing business policy, the Inter-ethnic Network for Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Buhari, INCRAB, lauds President Muhammadu Buhari over the decision to divert all vessels that are unable to discharge at Lagos terminals within four days to eastern ports.

The diversion of vessels to eastern ports will automatically trigger development and all-round economic growth in the host States. The importance of this new policy are numerous, ranging from employment generation, rapid economic growth, infrastructural advancement and several other growth indicators.

As a pro-society group and watchdog, we invite the general public and most particularly, the Rivers State Government to key into the vast array of opportunities these laudable decision by President Buhari provides. If well harnessed, the diversion of vessels to eastern ports will not only curb crime rate by providing employment for the teeming citizens – youth and women – alike, but will also stimulate rapid economic growth.

With this new policy, Rivers State is in for a massive economic boom, unprecedented development and improved Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, however, this depends on how well the State government is able to manage this rare opportunity.

We therefore, admonish Gov. Wike to jettison all manner of sentiments and politics, co-operate with the federal government and all relevant stakeholders and take full advantage of this opportunity to better the lot of Rivers State and its people.

More than before, this is the time for the Governor to take the issue of security in the State seriously, expand roads around the ports and create more access roads if possible.

Politics / There's No Faction Within The Apc In Rivers State - Kingsley Wenenda Wali by Sosoboy4: 3:49pm On Jan 31, 2020
The Convener of Unity House Foundation (UHF), Kingsley Wenenda Wali, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rivers has declared that there are no factions within the party in the state.

He said, APC in the state has, since 2018, is being divided into two major factions led by the Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and former senator representing Rivers South-East senatorial district in the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe.

Recently, another faction, which prides itself the ‘Third Force’, emerged with two former members of the House of Representatives, Hon. Igo Aguma and Hon. Emmanuel Deeyah, as leaders.

Mr. Wali speaking in an interview with LEADERSHIP in Port Harcourt, stated that what exist in the APC in the state are mere different tendencies that are jostling for power.

He however expressed the hope that the crisis rocking the party in the state will be resolved at the end politically
The APC chieftain said: “I don’t know about factions in the APC. I am aware of different tendencies, which is normal thing in any political party.

“Don’t forget that party politics is all about struggle for power. Eventually, what you do with the power when you get it is what differentiates one tendency from the other.

Politics / Eze Congratulates Buhari, Amaechi For Approving New Rail Line From Ph-maiduguri by Sosoboy4: 11:17am On Jan 30, 2020
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People's Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has lauded the approval for the construction of a Rail line and other accompanying infrastructure from Port Harcourt — Maiduguri by President Mohammadu Buhari.

Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi had stated on Monday that the Federal Government will reconstruct the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri rail line with capacity to transport 11 million tons of cargo. He said the entire stretch of the rail line will be rebuilt, adding that a railway industrial park in Port Harcourt will be part of the design.

Dr. Amaechi added that President Muhammadu Buhari has also approved two new seaports – one in Bonny, Rivers State and the other in Warri, Delta State.

Describing the approvals as well conceived, Chief Eze, said the projects when completed will ease the movement of human and goods, enhance businesses, create jobs and generally provoke a massive economic fillip for improved revenue generation to government.

On the new seaports, the party chief said, "the importance of the new ports cannot be overemphasised owing to the over congestion of Lagos ports. The new ports will decongest Lagos, inject fresh blood to the Ports in Rivers and Delta, create fresh business opportunities, provide jobs and enhance lives".

He said the importance of the strategic projects to investors, travellers and Nigerians in general is overwhelming, stressing that men and women of good will continue to be grateful to President Mohammadu Buhari and Minister Rotimi Amaechi for the massive infrastructural revolution in the rail sector.

Chief Eze commended the Minister for promising to support another port proposal for Akwa Ibom state, positing that such projects in Rivers, Delta and Akwa Ibom will turn the South South and South East into massive investment havens.

He appealed to leaders and the good people of South-South and South-East to unite, support President Buhari and Rotimi Amaechi to attract more developments to the regions.

Religion / See: Six State In Nigerian With The Most Ugly Girls. by Sosoboy4: 11:02am On Jan 28, 2020
One of the furthermost sayings of the entire time is that “black is beautiful”. I would like to accept as true that whoever that madcap such invoice have to experience checkmate, time and mull it over the piece of evidence that in actual fact black is fine-looking

But not withstanding, there are roughly blacks that are absolutely not striking no matter how you coin it once it comes to physical beauty

Ekiti State: Ekiti state is one of the Yoruba speaking part of Nigeria with the supreme rated ugly girls, drawn although they are celebrated to be burdensome i.e fat, and bulking from behind but nothing to write to home about on their facial looks or appearance.

Ebonyi State: This state is known to have undersized girls who are not bulky or fat and still not attractive in the eye though they have good looking complexion.

Politics / Apc Narrative Of Betrayal, Is A Fiction And The Work Of Art - Achinike Owhomka by Sosoboy4: 7:46pm On Jan 24, 2020
This is not directly a response to the account or articles of Chief Ogbonna Nwuke but from what i saw, it is not comprehensive enough to go home with (because most names like Gabriel Pidomson, who was the closest to CRA then was not seen and many others then).

Also, most actions of players in that article could have been misconstrued to be 'betrayal' because the personal interplay in between both individuals was certainly not captured in the article, but he only dueled upon the outcome as seen to be 'betrayal'

If we want to genuinely talk about politics and betrayals in Rivers state, the best point to start from in other to know who betrayed who, how and why will be from the time of Sir Rufus Ada George and more especially SIR DOCTOR PETER ODILI (at least this is the beginning point of this democracy that is still running).

If ex-rayed deeply, you will see that not even one soul can be exonerated. For all have sinned in this line of discuss.

So, let us not start from a suitable point, especially in the spirit of eye service to judge the system or judge others and call them betrayals.

For me i still believe and I insist that the problems in Rivers State APC is purely the product of bad or wrong decisions.

Worse still, the negative outcome of such decisions also got escalated through the art of sycophancy and eye service - Knowing the truth and looking the other way just to make the leader happy at the moment and to blend into the team of his "so called loyalist" because we want to be seen as die hard loyalist at all cost. In lieu of our expected gain therein.

Bad decisions were taking in anger and instead of being sober and group efforts made to bring the attention of the leader to such a wrong decision.

Rather, we idolized such wrong decisions and praised the leader to high heavens just to make him fill perfect, which as human, he can't be. And just like the monkeys would jump up and down and even clap in excitement when trees are felled. Even though it is his own house that is being felled for that matter. So we all celebrated our doom.

Howbeit, knowing for a fact that such a decision is poorly taken and would rather yield a negative result in the end. We sang songs of praise to the leaders and sang war songs to those who disagrees. Suffix it to say that, such bad decisions were serially taken until it became a pattern. With unmitigated bad outcomes.

Unfortunately, whosoever is bold to say no to such decisions is tagged a betrayal and just as the work of art which it is, the youth are psyched to pick and flow with such narrative.

Their can't be a political activity anywhere in the world without disagreement and or dispute. If it be so, then why tag all who disagree as betrayal. And instead spoil the whole system, rather than unite in disagreement and sort for a suitable way forward.

It is very possible that the person(s) we call betrayals according to the account of Chief Ogbonna Nwuke may have acted in the spirit of loyalty to the party as it were, previous agreements or loyalty to Sir Dr Peter Odili who was then, the leader of the party/Rivers State politics. During which time, our leader today, CRA was seen to be rebellious to the leader -Odili then.

Will it also surprise us to know that some or most of those we call betrayals today, may believe and strongly hold that they were actually the ones been betrayed by CRA.

What about those faithful party suppers who died in the processes of our electioneering in 2015 and 2019 and their loved ones have long been abandoned by the party (despite all the big positions held by leader(s)).

Do we realise, they also feel betrayed by the party. Which is true and correct. So why don't we add ourselves to the list of the betrayals.

Their brethren and leaders, the fact is, the betrayal narrative in our polity doesn't add. So let's look the other way and begin to reexamine the kind of decisions leadership takes.

Most importantly, let's genuinely seek peace and reconciliation so that the party will bounce back.

Public confidence on the party is more important than the internal accusations and counter accusations.

Even the internal victory we think or hope to achieve, is not profitable, if the public feels otherwise about the party.

Politics / Hope Uzodinma's Victory Has Reinforced Democracy - David Okumgba by Sosoboy4: 9:30pm On Jan 15, 2020
The All Progressives Congress - APC, South South Zonal Office says Tuesday's Supreme Court judgment given in favour of the party's candidate, Senator *Hope Uzodinma* is a long walk to victory and has further reinforced democracy.

South South Zonal Secretary of the APC, *David Okumgba* who came up with this in a statement said the judgment is not just a victory for the party, but for Imo state and its people across party divides, and will attract rapid development to the state since the once destroyed bridge connecting the state directly to the centre has now been rebuilt.

He urged Governor Hope Uzodinma to be magnanimous in victory, shun political witch hunt or vindictiveness as practiced by the ousted governor Emeka Ihedioha and concentrate on delivering dividends of democracy which the APC is known for, to the good people of Imo State.

David Okumgba equally appealed to Imo citizens to give their full support to the APC led administration in the state, saying the daunting challenges of infrastructure and human capital development facing the state will prove a difficult task to upturn without their support.

The statement equally assured that as a social contract between the party and the people of Imo State, the APC government will not fail in its part to deliver good governance to the people.

Politics / The Rvsg Task Force Condemns Illegal Parking Of Heavy Duty Trucks On The Road by Sosoboy4: 10:12pm On Jan 12, 2020
The Rivers State Government (RVSG) Task Force on Illegal Street Trading, Markets, Motor Parks and Mechanics through the Coordinator/Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Hon. Bright Chikweru Amewhule has on multiple occasions advised Truck Drivers/Owners, Filling Station Owners and other Industries within the State, that uses heavy duty trucks to carry their goods, not to congest the State with their trucks as it’s affects both human and vehicular movements.

Hon. Amewhule stressed that most of these Drivers and Industries Owners are very much aware of the Rivers State new law which forbids them from parking illegally on the street and major roads of the Garden City, but that they choose to ignore and disobey the law for their selfish interest.

The Coordinator, warns that henceforth any Truck Driver/Industry Owner who goes contrary to the law will be arrested and his Truck impounded by the State Government and same person will be charged to court for further actions as the law states.

Romance / " Sex Is Food" Nigerian Lady Advice Ladies On How To Go About It by Sosoboy4: 2:06pm On Jan 12, 2020
Sex is not all about making children. You must be a different woman to your husband every time. Seduce your husband, don’t always allow your husband to ask for Sex, there must be no timetable for sex.

Be creative, don’t be predictable. Give him what he wants. If you loose influence over your husband, you have lost womanhood.

Be part of your husband plans.

Don’t have too many children, you wanna sell them ? Allow your husband to check in and out anytime.

When a man is sexually satisfied, he is emotionally stable. Stop saying, is it food ? Yes, sex is food !!!
As a wife, try to invest in yourself spiritually so you can adequately support him.

Build yourself as his prayer warrior so that you will not be forced to pray at the end of your life.

Don’t allow your husband to provide all your needs, he is not a money making machine. Iron sharpens iron, try to reciprocate.

You are meant to support each other spiritually, financially, physically and morally through thick and thin. You are a builder….Wise woman buildeth her home. Women need wisdom to build their homes.

Do not be too outspoken, know when to talk, when to listen and when to be quiet.

Love your husband with all your heart, never tell him, if not because of my children, remember you’ve known him before the arrival of those children.

Pamper your husband, put his head on your chest and pray for him. Give him unannounced kiss from the back…. mwahhhhhh, don’t be too holy to kiss in the public.

He is your husband for God sake. Be romantic joooo, it is good for the heart. Some people are not happy that you’re happy in that marriage, proof them wrong that you love him and he is your crown, always feel good when you hold him.

Sports / Messi: Ronaldo Has Been Extraordinary Over The Decade by Sosoboy4: 1:01pm On Jan 07, 2020
When Lionel Messi was questioned about Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance he didn’t hesitate to praise him.

“Today, there are very good players, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Luis Suarez, Eden Hazard, any of them could be the best in the world,” he said. “But I took Cristiano of that group and put him with me.”

“I have always said that Barcelona has given me everything and I am here for as long as they want me to be.

“Ronaldo as done great things that football will never forget if he as support like naymar, Saurez and Mbappe no one will come closer to his achievement.”

It is a very competitive league [in England], last season showed that, so it makes it very difficult to predict. Yet Ronaldo made a name there.

Messi included

“What Ronaldo did in Madrid for real Madrid and for Portugal in euro was remarkable and extra ordinary. At the age of 33 in Rral Madrid he was still the most Important player in his team”.

After the week’s events in the UEFA Champions League, there is no doubt that we are still living in the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldoera but they are past that salty rivalry that was going on years ago.

During the time in which the Argentine won absolutely every individual trophy and Cristiano struggled to catch him, we could feel a little bit of negative energy between the two and a tension that perfectly described how much one wanted to beat the other.

Even if Lionel Messi denied it, the fact that Ronaldo played at Real Madrid for so many years gave this rivalry an extra flavor that everybody thoroughly enjoyed.

But as time went by and both players won their fair share of individual accolades, it seems that each learned to appreciate the other as they transformed into veterans and today we can hear both praising each other without paying any more attention to all the noise that may never stop from all the obsessed fans who want to put one above the other.

Although we did see Luka Modric win the Ballon d’Or last year after his impressive year with both Real Madrid and Croatia, there is still no doubt that Ronaldo and Messi are still the best players in the world.

We have gotten to keep enjoying both of these amazing players this season with their clubs, the only difference is that Cristiano Ronaldo decided to leave Real Madrid and this gave him a whole new motivation to keep improving as a player despite already being 34 years old.

When he first arrived in Los Blancos, CR7 was a very different player than the one he is today as he could get past any defender from the left flank and had an insane dribbling skill that only Messi could rival.

As time went by, Cristiano understood that he was the best centre-forward in the world and he decided to modify his position in order to keep scoring as many goals as ever and then some.

The match against Atletico Madrid was living proof that we are before the best goal-scorer in football history, a player who has even managed to get the praise from the highest order from the most unlikely source.

Everybody really enjoyed what they saw that Tuesday at Juventus Stadium, Ronaldo.com expressed how ecstatic they felt for watching the master at work against Atletico Madrid but we never thought that even Messi would get in on the action.

Lionel spoke to the press after the victory in which he assisted his teammates twice and scored a brace for FC Barcelona, proving that he is the other great player of this year’s competition and he is the only player who can look at Ronaldo in the eye.

In fact, Messi didn’t hesitate to praise the Portuguese player after his performance over the decade.” What Ronaldo did for Madrid, Portugal and Juventus over the decade is impressive. Ronaldo never had the forward or the players in Barcelona but he never let that stop him from performing and bring out his best”

“What Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus did was impressive,” the forward said after the match,” said Messi via Marca.

“I thought Atletico Madrid would be tougher. Ronaldo had a magical night with three goals.” “All of the opponents are complicated,” he added.

“Ajax, for example, showed that they’re an amazing team of youngsters and they don’t fear anyone. It’ll be difficult no matter who we face. We have to prepare ourselves for a tough challenge.”

“They went for the match from the start and moved the ball around well,” said Leo about the match.

“There was a bit of suffering after they made it 2-1, as we’d made it tough for ourselves at a set piece. They hadn’t done anything until then.”

What do you think about Lionel Messi’s unexpected praise of Cristiano Ronaldo

“The impression that only Ikwerre area has non indigenous voters while other ethnicities have just indigenous voters is a distractive propaganda, but you see, our interests isn’t to claim ethnic superiority on account of population but to logically interrogate some assertions people make and weigh them against common sense”

First is that ethnic figures is different from voting strength. The former takes count of people by their ethnicity while the latter focuses on the number of voters domiciled in a given area, which may include both people of that ethnicity and those outside of it. Now the voting strength of a particular area is mostly attributed to the ethnicity of the area, that’s why you can say that Ikwerres command the highest voting strength in Rivers, simply because in the Ikwerres areas, there’s high concentration of voters both indigenous and non. There is also huge presence of non indigenes in every community, ward and LGA of the State who are also counted in favor of where they reside as part of their present voting strengths

Celebrities / Dakuku Dakuku @ 49: An Embodiment Of Excellence by Sosoboy4: 11:57pm On Dec 31, 2019
Dakuku’s life captures interest and inspires hope in more ways than one. His story of steadfastness and loyalty serves as a remarkable lesson to the generation of today, where virtues are declining and vices spiralling; where men and women demonstrate little staying power and steadfastness is considered an unknown culture, this is the generation Dakuku’s life speaks to.

Dakuku Dakuku is a story that must be told, even to generations unborn. It is an account of excellence, patriotism, and steadfastness; one that commands the attention of anyone who reads it.

Born on December 31, 1970, into a middle class family, Dakuku broke jinxes and smashed barriers to place himself on a pedestal. He has evolved into a brand, an enigma and an intellectual force with the Midas touch for making excellence out of nonsense. One of the admired and most followed political leaders, statesman and administrator, Dakuku’s track record of excellence is in a class of its own.

In his early 30s, he was appointed the Caretaker Committee Chairman of his LGA, Opobo/Nkoro, his brilliant performance and unprecedented developmental strides fetched him an award as the most outstanding Caretaker Chairman in Rivers State during Sir Peter Odili’s tenure as Governor.

Dakuku’s sterling performance and admirable focus earned him yet another appointment as a Special Assistant to the Governor on students affairs and later, a Special Assistant on Works. As is typical of Dakuku, he impressed his boss and discharged his duties with aplomb to the admiration of close observers.

After Sir Peter Odili’s administration, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, became Governor and appointed Dakuku his Commissioner for Works – a position that would later oversee the implementation of the major thrust of the Amaechi-led government.

As the Rivers State Commissioner for Works between 2007 and 2011, Dakuku handled many construction projects including roads, bridges and other physical infrastructures. In fact, it is argued that he handled the largest construction portfolio in the entire Country at the time. Prior to becoming a Commissioner, Dakuku had earlier served as the Executive Director of the Development and Leadership Institute.

Obviously, out of sheer industry and competence, he was elected into the House of Representatives to represent Andoni/Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency in 2011. Having being exposed and armed to the teeth with the requisite skills, tact and experience from previous public engagements, his years in the House were impactful and remarkable.

At the House, he was the Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum (Downstream). This position placed him in the forefront of activities that regulated the Nation’s number one and largest source of revenue. He also served in other Committees of the House, such as Works, Anti-corruption, Electoral matters, Industry, Communication, and National Ethics and Values.
