How do I get an online ACM Student Membership Account to access some research material? Please does anyone have one? I need it ASAP.

Relax my friend, whatever address you stated in your application you will get your letter if you were shortlisted. And if for any reason you do not get invited, do not fret. There a world of opprtunities out there just waiting for you. Relax, God is in total control.

It depends on how the system came configured. Though it is possible to install two operating systems on the same partition, its not advisable. If your system came with Vista, and also came with at least two partitions then I dont see any problem installing your Windows XP on the other partition. It's just about knowing what to do at what point. If one can have heterogeneous operating systems(Windows and Linux) on the same system, then Vista and XP, being from the same vendor should work together nicely.

Windows Vista has one thing going for it and that's the User Experience. It has a rich look that makes one feel he using a Mac. Infact stories have it that Microsoft modelled Vista with Mac OS in mind. My problem with Vista is that one can hardly upgrade successfully from Windows XP without having such annoying issues as firewall conflict. Usually a clean install is the better option, but that does not help the marketabilty of Vista very much. All the same, Microsoft WIndows Vista is an operating systems to experience.

This mail stinks scam, scam, scam. Any fairly sharp guy would know that this is cheap fraud. The grammer is so unsophisticated and grossly flawed. I dont want to spend my time analyzing this mail cos its not worth it. We need to be more careful and discerning. These heartless guys are always on the prowl seeking whom to devour.

I worked with NIIT for 3 years, first as a trainee faculty, up until I became a senior faculty. Just as some people said, u get what u want from NIIT and indeed any other IT training institute. All I can say is that NIIT, at least to some extent, has the required infrastructure and environment for learning. Now, whether they r efficient is a different story all together. The truth remains that the name 'NIIT' pulls some serious weight when u go for IT based job interviews.

U can make the best from NIIT if u r the seroius type and u knw what u r there for. Their books are quite expository so u need not have a teacher to take u through them all the time. All in all, even though I'm no longer there, I think NIIT remains one of the best around(Mind u, this is no advert; infact I dont give a hoot about those indians!!!)
