It was quite amazing but unfortuante to see a trending hashtag on twitter where two great black countries strove to be a better 'yabber'. Obviously, Nigeria seemed to have a upper hand in the 'yabbing competition' but it was only a show of shame while it lasted.
We need not to be told that twitter is worldwide and even universal, but we take to it to yab ourselves, indirectly exposing the content of our xenophobic brain to the white colonial masters who have the monopoly of power within themselves. Remember ISIS is one of the sponsor of BOKO HARAM and ISIS is not african. It only fuels the BH to keep the fire burning in the black part of the world.
Same way this 'foreigners' will see the war of war #KenyavsNigeria war of word on twitter and then use it against us to cause inter-national war. I don't think I have so much heard of AFRICA vs AFRICA war before but among the Asians, Europes etc. it has been a common and incessant thing and they have been looking forward to something of such nature among Africans. Who even knew whether it was a white person who started the twitter hashtag just to ignite a strong hatred which is uncalled for?
How do you think a Nigerian person living in Kenya would feel secure after all the rantings and chantings on the social media and how do you think a Kenyan who lives in Nigeria will have a rest of mind at this moment? WE OURSELVES MAKE THEM FEEL INSECURE.
The conclusion of the whole matter is that we should embrace peace as much as we can with our AFRICAN BROTHERS. #ONEAFRICA #KENYANSLOVENIGERIANS #NIGERIANSLOVEKENYANS

ILORIN—The University of Ilorin community, has been thrown into mourning after a 200 level student of the institution, Onikenku Michael Atunde, who was said to have gone for swimming in the university since last Saturday, was yet to return to the hostel.
At press time, members of the Kwara State Fire Service and National Emergency Management Agency, who had also been deployed to search for the student, were yet to make any head way.
Vanguard learned that Atunde of the department of Science Education and a member of Man ‘O’ War, was said to have gone missing since Saturday when he reportedly went for swimming.
Authorities of the university, it was gathered, had contacted the student’s next of kin.
Spokesperson of the university, Kunle Akogun, in a telephone message said: “A member of the Man ’O’ War was reported to have been calling for assistance in the river flowing behind the Parks and Garden Unit early Saturday.
“Rescue efforts coordinated by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Prof. Nike Ijaya was immediately mounted, and search is still ongoing. Medical services have been on since yesterday. It is feared that the student might have drowned at the university’s dam site.“

Bishop David Oyedepo today at the Faith Tabernacle in
Cannanland, brought succor to residents of Ado-Odo/
Ota as he engaged all contractors in the church who are
willing and able to work and be paid there due charges to
start work on all the roads leading to the church. He
made this disclosure during the church's second service
as they prepared for the December 2015 Shiloh. He said
“all contractors who specializes in road building and
maintenance as well as other relevant contractors to wait
and see him after the service. He said it won't be a free
job for the church but that they would be paid according
just like a normal contractor.“ He also disclosed that the
fixing of all roads leading to the church which are
seriously in deplorable conditions would be fixed in 3
weeks time.

Hello every1, am an undergraduate in one of the states university and my dicipline is Zoology. I am proud of this great course I have chosen but sometimes just like some students we get discouraging words from people. Words like ' don't tell me ur studying animals'. 'When u graduate where will u work? A zoo?' Etc. I always feel bad(then) until I carefully studied my departmental handbook. So I wish to share with the intending students, undergraduates and even our senior colleagues.
A zoologist studies several aspects of animals namely the origin, behaviour and processes of life.
Our field of specialization includes:
-morphology
-taxonomy
-genetics,
-zoogeography,
-embryology
-entomology,
-limnology,
-fisheries,
-marine Biology etc.
Carrier opportunities include
-Science writer/Editor,
-Medical illustrator,
-Forensic Scientist,
-Molecular Biologist and biotechnologist,
-immunologist, etc.
This means that we are not restricted to work ONLY at the zoo.
Like I said I saw all dis in my departmental handbook; I still wish to know what awaits a zoologist in the labour market. Apart from being a lecturer. I'l" appreciate comments, criticisms as well as ur experiences

Senator Shehu Sani has said that despite the
confirmation of former Rotimi Amaechi as a
minister of the federal republic of Nigeria, if any
court of law finds him guilty of corruption, he will
not continue to serve as a Minister in the Buhari
led government. Sani said this while paying a
get-well-soon visit to a veteran journalist and
columnist, Abdulkareem Albashir today.
He said that the senate couldn't have stopped
Amaechi's ministerial confirmation because all
the petitions brought against him were mere
allegations because no court had found him
guilty of corruption.
“The APC position on corrupt allegation is
that it is still an allegation and the issue is
still in court which the senate committee
should not have entertained in the first
place. In the general sense, we are duty
bound to protect the interest of someone
in our party and the opposition has the
right to object to who ever is presented.
In the broader sense, Nigerians and
posterity will judge whether our approval
of Amaechi was a tacit endorsement of
corruption because the issues raised were
not enough to stop his confirmation. But
we must also understand that even if you
are made a minister and you get
convicted, the law will take its course.
Certainly if he is found guilty, he would not
continue to serve as minister under
President Muhammadu Buhari’s
administration.“he said
