Family / Re: This Boy Is In A Dilemma, Who Will He Call Up,his Real Mother Or Step Mother? by thebestonearth(m): 6:58am On Nov 01, 2015
observer2020:
A woman abandoned her husband & her four (4) year old son for her rich boyfriend & they both (woman & boy friend) eventually travelled to the U.S.A. Out of frustration & desperation the husband went & married another woman.
Unfortunately the 2nd woman couldn't bear a child for the husband. Despite her inability to bear a child, the 2nd woman took great care of the boy & treated him like her own son.
Few years later, the husband died in a car accident. The 2nd wife did everything in her power to educate the boy, she engaged in petty trade such as pepper, maggie, salt, palm oil, onion, tomatoes, etc, in the market square in order to sponsor the boy's schooling.
The boy only knew his step mother as his real mother & there4, he called her Mama.
The real mother in the U.S.A did not for once find out about the wellbeing of her son thoughtless of sending a penny for the boy, even after she heard that her Ex husband (son's father) died in an accident.
Some years later, this boy grew up into a very intelligent young man waiting for his B.A Hons degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University. The real mother who also could not bear another child in the U.S since she eloped with her boyfriend, realized that she had made a terrible mistake by abandoning her own son. She decided to return home to look for her son & present to him all her wealth acquired over the years in the States.
She eventually found her son battling between life & death in the hospital for kidney failure. The Doctors demanded huge amount of money for the operation & the step mother couldn't afford it. The real mother stepped in & paid all the hospital bills & donated one of her own kidneys & the son was saved.
Shortly after, the final results were out & the son got a distinction in his first degree & also got a scholarship to pursue his Masters degree in the U.K
At the presentation of the certificate, the Vice Chancellor gave the microphone to the son to call his mother to come up stage & receive the certificate. The moment the Vice Chancellor made the statement, the real mother got up & arranged herself waiting to be called upon whilst the step mother sat down & looked at the boy with tears running her chick.
The answer is suspended..........
Assume you are the son, who would you call on up stage?
A) Real Mother
B) Step Mother
Need your answer pls.

Politics / Re: Desperation: We’re Ready To Work For Free, Say Buhari’s Ministers-Punch by thebestonearth(m): 6:50am On Nov 01, 2015
Descartes:

Following Friday’s pronouncement by President Muhammadu Buhari that Nigeria is broke and he might not be able to pay ministers, some minister-designates have said they are ready to work for free.

Some of the ministers who said this include Mr. Adebayo Shittu and Professor Isaac Adewole.
The ministers, who along with their colleagues are expected to be sworn in and given portfolios any moment from now, described their appointment as a call to service.

Shittu, representing Oyo State at the yet-to-be-constituted Federal Executive Council, said he was ready to give his services free to Nigeria if that was what the situation demanded.

Shittu, a legal practitioner and human rights activist told SUNDAY PUNCH that what matters is the intention to serve and not the financial benefits.

He said, “It is an issue of national service. There is nothing too much to sacrifice. If that is what our situation in Nigeria demands, then we must put ourselves up selflessly. We cannot say because of selfishness, we cannot work selflessly.

“With my background as somebody from a very humble family, I know what poverty is and I have been experiencing it. I have been dogged in conforming to the dictates of politics and poverty. There is nothing too much to sacrifice for the service of our people.”

Adewole, a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan spoke on Saturday through his media aide, Mr. Sunday Saanu.

According to Saanu, Adewole who is to represent Osun State, is ready to serve the nation without pay.

Saanu said, “It is a great honour to serve one’s fatherland and I can tell you Prof. Adewole is ready to serve Nigeria without collecting salaries.

“Everything is not about money. It is a privilege and a great honour to serve. This is what he was doing at his former school. He was paying some teachers employed to complement government’s efforts.

“ He is not driven by money but passion to make positive impact in the nation in whatever capacity.”

The past governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, also said he did not accept to be a minister for personal and pecuniary gains.

Amaechi, who spoke through his former aide, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, explained that he was interested in the development of Nigeria

He said, “If he (President Buhari) has not said that he would not pay ministers, the question of whether he (Amaechi) will work for free should not be necessary. We know that we are currently dealing with hard times. For us as a country, we will manage our cost.

“He (Amaechi) has never run for anything because he is looking for money. His interest is in the development of Nigeria.”

Another minister-designate, Mr. James Ocholi, said he will not run away from challenges.

He said, “I will not run away from challenges. If the first challenge in the new assignment is to solve the financial crisis of the federation, I will be willing to devote time and attention to solving it before any other national issue.”

Politics / Re: Today, I Prayed For The President; I Prayed For Nigeria. Come In If You Wish To. by thebestonearth(m): 6:27am On Nov 01, 2015
MizMyColi:
Good Morning Everyone

I had finished my workout sessions and decided to try out the new earpiece my little Sis "dashed" me, and a Christian song by Frank Edwards was in play.
I thought to seize the opportunity to pray for my loved one who was going through tumultuous times, and before I knew it, I started praying passionately for Nigeria. I prayed for the president! I was in tears.
Those who know my political antecedents here would understand that I am more an anti-Buharist and even more anti-APC....

But this morning, none of that mattered. I was led by something higher to drop all forms of bitterness, and complaining, and reservations; for the love of dear country, for the love of humanity.

Muslims, Christians, Budhists, Atheists, Igbo, Yoruba, PDP, APC, Partyless Opposition, SS, Northerner....No matter who and what you are. Today, I enjoin us‎ to take a little time from our busy schedule and say a word of prayer for our Nigeria and for the leadership of this country. Today, it dawned on me, that it doesn't matter what has been done or undone, every day presents a chance to chart a new course in our history, in our lives.

Let today, the 1st day of November, 2015 start a movement of healing that would sweeps across the fabric of this nation.

Let every structure of negativity and bitterness and unforgiveness that so seeks to continually divide us‎ be pulled down.

Today, irrespective of our religious, political and tribal affiliation, we declare that it is well with Nigeria.
We declare that it is well with our president and every arm of leadership of this nation.

Our Divine Creator will save, Our Divine Creator will deliver.

God bless us all.‎
Amen.

United States a short-lived advantage in the
nuclear arms race with the Soviet Union.
Following the successful Soviet detonation of
an atomic device in September 1949, the United
States accelerated its program to develop the
next stage in atomic weaponry, a thermonuclear
bomb. Popularly known as the hydrogen bomb,
this new weapon was approximately 1,000
times more powerful than conventional nuclear
devices. Opponents of development of the
hydrogen bomb included J. Robert
Oppenheimer, one of the fathers of the atomic
bomb. He and others argued that little would
be accomplished except the speeding up of the
arms race, since it was assumed that the
Soviets would quickly follow suit.The
opponents were correct in their assumptions.
The Soviet Union exploded a thermonuclear
device the following year and by the late 1970s,
seven nations had constructed hydrogen
bombs. The nuclear arms race had taken a
fearful step forward.

Politics / Re: The Impudence Of Rabiu Kwakwanso And His Fulani Brothers! by thebestonearth(m): 5:42am On Nov 01, 2015
fulaniHERDSman:
BY FEMI FANI-KAYODE

I am saddened that the former Governor of Kano state, Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso, a man whom I have always considered a friend and one whom I have always respected could insult our reverred Yoruba elders. Yesterday, during a function in Ibadan, it was widely reported in the media that he asserted that the recent demand by the Yoruba elders that all Fulani herdsmen ought to be banned from the south west as a consequence of the hideous atrocities that they have been committing against our people is somehow inappropiate and misguided.

Instead of stopping there he went further by attempting to give us an unsolicited lecture about his Fulani heritage and pedigree and about the benefits of having a good education: imagine that coming from one of them. He concluded by telling the Yoruba elders to just ‘’shut up’’.

Such impudence is rarely seen and this final insult may represent a defining moment in the history of the relationship between the Yoruba and the Fulani in our country. Worse still, this comes barely a few weeks after Chief Olu Falae, a much-loved 77 year old Yoruba elder, was abducted, incarcerated, stripped naked, beaten, cut with matchetes, maimed, frog-marched, humiliated and kidnapped by a group of Fulani herdsmen. Unlike many others Chief Falae was lucky to escape with his life because both before and since his abduction many other victims of the Fulani cattle rearers did not.

These aliens are herdsmen and cattlerearers by the day and terrorists, murderers, vagabonds and rapists by the night. They have become a terror and an affliction to our people. That is what we have to live with in the south west and many other parts of southern Nigeria today. The Yoruba are still hurting from the abductions, murders, raids and consistent violence being meted out to them by these creatures from hell yet no-one seems to care.

Many Yoruba farmers are still living in trepidation of being attacked and butchered by the vagabonds and many have had to sit by helplessly as the heartless beasts raped and slaughtered their wives and daughters before their very eyes. Instead of attempting to calm our nerves and allay our fears by reaching out to us with an olive branch and condemning the criminal actions of his Fulani kith and kin, Rabiu Kwakawnso has instead indulged in his provocative and dangerous diatribe.

It is a manifestation of the crass arrogance that some Fulani leaders have cultivated over the years that they feel that they can insult us in this way and get away with it. Worse still they seek to defend, rationalise and condone the activities of their barbaric and murderous herdsmen who have murdered, raped and pillaged thousands of our people and forcefully taken our lands and crops over the last few years.

I will leave it to Afenifere, the Yoruba Council of Elders, the OPC and others to respond to Kwakwanso and those he represents because these are the groups and people that speak for the Yoruba nation. The only thing that I will say is that Kwakwanso’s thesis and theory about education being the answer to the menace and criminal activities of the Fulani herdsmen in the south west does not make sense. It has no basis in logic, rationality or reason.

In any case if the herdsmen are not properly educated and do not know how to behave in a lawful and civilised manner when they are in the territory of others whose fault is that? Is it not the fault of Kwakwanso and the other Fulani leaders who have refused to enlighten and educate their people over the last 50 years? That is the bitter truth.

You cannot stop those herdsmen that have chosen to be murderers, vagabonds and rapists by simply educating them because what they do is inherent within them. Those that have chosen the path of criminality and violence are suffering from a sociopathic and psychotic disposition. Simply put they have an insatiable bloodlust and an irresistible desire to hurt others and to steal, maim, rape and kill.

When I say this I am not referring to all Fulanis but only to those Fulani herdsmen who insist on indulging in violent and deviant behavior in our land.

The only thing you can do to stop such people is to make them face the full wrath of the law for the crimes they have consistently committed and ban them from entering our territory. It has nothing to do with education. We do not want these herdsmen amongst us anymore because they are like a plague. All they do is kill, steal and destroy. They have done it throughout the Middle Belt for the last 50 years and now they are doing it in the south and particularly in Yorubaland.

Do Kwakwanso and the other Fulani leaders expect us to keep quiet whilst their people are terrorising, slaughtering and robbing ours? If so they are in for a big shock.

We will not only not keep quiet but we will also continue to insist that they must get out of our land. And if the government refuses to protect us from them we shall take strong measures to protect and defend ourselves and our people. There is no crime in self defense.

The days of talking down to us, treating us with contempt and treating us like slaves are long over. Kwakwanso and those he represents should not test our will or underestimate our resolve. We want peace but it cannot be at the expense of our lives and the liberty and safety of our people. The Yoruba cannot be butchered at will or treated like sacrificial lambs to the slaughter by anyone or any group of people. Senator Kwakwanso’s insult on the Yoruba elders will not go unanswered. Education is not the solution to the problem of the murderous Fulani herdsmen. Expulsion is.

Spiritual Digest for the Day 1st Of November 2015

QUOTE FOR THE DAY
There is a significant difference between the gift of the spirit and the fruit of the spirit. You can only bear the fruit of the spirit when you are truly filled with the Holy Spirit!!!

***********************
BIBLE VERSE FOR THE DAY
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23).
_____________________________
The fruit of the spirit is the food the Lord will eat from your life. The gift of the spirit is the evidence of the power of God in your life.

The life of every child of God is just like a tree. There are different types of trees with different purpose which can be used to describe different types of ministry gift (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers) which also have branches that can also be liken to various spiritual gifts ( The words of wisdom, words of knowledge, discerning of the spirits, gift of faith, working of miracles, gift of healing, prophecy, divers kind of tongues and interpretation of tongues). The fruit produced by a tree is placed on the branches. The essence of every gift of the spirit in your life is for you to bear the fruit of the spirit.

When a man has been detached from God; the fruit of the spirit will not manifest in his life irrespective of the presence of any spiritual gift.

Don't allow the gift of God in you to deceive you; you can't be filled with the holy spirit and still commit sin. The fact that God still honours His name in your life through the manifestation of His power does not signify His presence in your life. The presence of God in your life will always manifest as the fruit of the spirit among men.

Grace to Abide in HIM to bear the fruit of the Spirit to you in Jesus name. Amen!!!
Have an Inspired Worship Experience!!!

OYINBOGOJU:
Dear Nlers,

It may be a long story but i will make it brief as much as possible straight to the point.

The incident is over 4 years now and i kept quiet on it but just for the amusement of it now i will share my experience with you now.

I used to drive Amarda 2005 model, in 2011 the transmission got problem and i have to change it.

I made order through inspired auto with full payment, as usual he promised to order it from US.

When the trasmission arrived it was not inspired that delivered it, he sent a taxi to bring it to the mechanic workshop at Ilupeju just opposite a famous SAN chamber.

I must say i have never met inspired in person throughout this transaction.

After the mechanic checked the transmission it was Murano 04 model tranmission.

I called inspired to registered my unsatisfaction and demanded immediate solution, he told me sometime error do happen.

He introduced a guy named LADEGAN,he said he is transmission expert that he can work it out and make it perfect.

I accepted and few days later Ladegan came and split the tranmission open seperated the auxiliary from the other part. After he work out some miracle in it we fix the transmission but unfortunately his miracle didn't work, it wasn't even same size.

Ladegan left that day because it was late in the evening , he was suppose to couple the new transmission so that i can send it back to inspired but to my surprise that was the end, Ladegan never pick calls again nor inspire.

Other mechanics refused to even come near it and i ended up sold the vehicle right at the mechanic workshop as scrap to some guys from famous auto part market. ( i forgot the name )

I refused to share this information because as at 2011 inspired was hot in this auto section and any attempt to bring this out ,i honestly believe i would be named enemy of progress.

Anyway that was the last time i deal with invisible dealers here.
