Nigerians especially Govt workers, too like Public holidays.
Shows how unproductive we are.

Highly unproductive. Why on earth would a nation declare 3 days of holiday celebration? It is only in Nigeria such things happened.

We are an unserious nation reason why we are backward. So sad.

In other states in Nigeria, House of Assembly members are puppets of the governor. In Rivers State, the governor is a puppet of the House of Assembly members grin

Not so in Lagos State anymore. The present Lagos State House of Assembly members especially the Speaker, Hon. Obasa has know respect to Gov. Sanwo Olu.

You can see what happened during the commissioners screening last year were about 17 was rejected by the House and the fight still goes on underground as we speak.

Family / Re: Serious Domestic Violence Taking Place In My Street, Help Please by tonyawo: 1:19pm On Nov 19, 2021
massinola:
I will be as brief as possible.
I recently opened a barbing salon shop. Within the area I opened this shop, there's this couple living there. The man does nothing for a living. He's a drunkard. The woman on the other hand sells black market fuel and oil to make ends meet.

They gave birth to 6 children (yes, you heard right). Since I entered that street, I noticed a serious domestic violence going on in that family. The man after drinking, uses his wife and children as punching bags. This is not occasionally. On a daily. I'm seriously disturbed. A little arguement and the man goes straight to the woman's fuel and oil and pours everything away.

Even when he's the one provoking the woman, he goes to the woman's properties and starts damaging everything.

The worst is that no body in the street says anything. They all say they are used to them.
I'm seriously disturbed because the man always threatens to pour fuel on the woman and set her ablaze always.

On many occasions, he carries huge sticks to kill the woman like a snake.
People around always say he can't do it. On my side, I'm really disturbed, because I have seen where domestic violence caused a disaster. I fear that one day, the man might carry out his threats.

Today a serious fight broke out between the man and the wife. The man was beating the last born of the house that's just a year plus like a mad man. The wife couldn't bear it anymore and faced the man. He was beating all of them like animals. Looking for cutlass and 2by2 to use on them. People were passing and didn't even care. I couldn't bear it anymore. He was trying to smash the woman's phone on the main road. One small girl went to rescue the woman and the phone. The way this man flung the lady eeh, that was when I stepped in, collected the phone and told the man that if he tried touching the woman and the children again, I would bury him alive. I was very mad. I asked the woman what he's still doing with the man. Or is she waiting for people to carry her corpse before she flees for her life? The phone is still with me. I'm confused on what to do.

This man needs to be stopped before a disaster strikes. It's just a matter of time. I fear for the woman's life seriously.
What can I do to help the situation guys. I'm really disturbed.

Report any domestic violence issue to the following agency in Lagos State.

Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team.
Phone no: 08137960048, 0800 0333333
Website: www.dsvrtlagos.org

They are very very effective and necessary action will be taken once reported.

Please call d number so as to save the woman and her children's life.

Hello folks,
The market sounds so juicy, infact my company is into export, but one of the major challenge is getting genuine buyers as we struggle with our global image,
Another is meeting up the quality and certification requirements of the country patronizing you. I encourage you to seek proper knowledge before jumping in the the trend, because of some sweet tongued ebook you bought.
The venture is profitable indeed if you have good patronage. Finally I repeat, make adequate finding and planning so that you won't rush out after spending. God, I spent! Hoping that GOD will bless my efforts.
You are absolutely correct. Like I said in my previous post am still researching and doing feasibility study which explains why I intend to kickstart next year.
Thanks for the advice.

Thank you for your time

How does it work? Answer ooo abeg

Plus what I mean is not getting a government contract. I mean like you see a business problem in the state or country and then you come up with an idea on how to solve that problem.
Then you write your later, business plan, feasibility report etc and submit to the federal or state government.

You get ?
From my understanding I think you submit a proposal based on what job listed in the Journal. Pls Google, Federal Tender Journals in Nigeria and see lots of Federal jobs listed.

Best of luck bro. Cheers.

LLC = Limited Liability Company under US company, allied laws. If you register this, you will now have the legal right to run a legal business in the US, and with it, you can contact US Federal Inland Revenue Service to issue you EIN (Employer Identification Number) which can replace SSN or TIN.

With all that, you can now legally register an Amazon US seller account and operate as a US business....and also register with stripe legally and even PayPal to send and receive money.
My company is registered as business name, can u apply for LLC in US?
Education / Re: How Private School Owners Are Dubiously Cheating Their Teachers by tonyawo: 3:49pm On Jul 18, 2020
uromii:
Every honest proprietor is supposed to have paid it staff their February, March and April salary in full plus even necessary bonus because they collect their fees per term and this money is paid in whole and they normally demand this money (fee drive) from second week of resumption and their dead line for payments is always that first month of resumption and the lockdown started towords ending of March , almost all school's does this.

In other words %96 percent of schools in Nigeria have already collected their pupils school fees before the covid-19 lock down.

To show How wicked black man can be most of the proprietors/proprietress have dubiously refused to give their staff their complete payment for April, May. Most school owners are not always honest to their workers because no regulatory bodies beams their watch light on them.

So if you are a teacher you teach in a private school and you did not receive your April and may salary from your director , just know you have been cheated.

Not all school does this. The private school where my sister works paid full salary to all staff till May 2020 but paid half in June. The proprietor even gave palliatives during the month of April & May and promise to complete June salary and July once school resumes soon.

Sports / Re: Why And When Did You Start Supporting Your Favorite Football Club? by tonyawo: 7:58am On Jul 06, 2020
scylentstorm:
What inspired you to start supporting the Football Club you are currently supporting?

For me, it was sheer emotion. I'm an Arsenal fan. Before the 2006 UEFA Champions League, I had no definite clubside I support. I would always want the underdogs to win even if the odds against them was 100 to 1.

During the first half of the 2006 UCL final, Arsenal seemed to me to be the better side, they had more popular names compared to their opponent, Barca. So I wanted them to lose. It was a bad belle kinda thing. My support for Barcelona in this match was further heightened when Arsenal was a goal up. However, when Lehmann got that unfortunate red card and things started to fall apart for Arsenal, I began to develop a soft spot for them. Quickly in the second half when Barca started leading 2-1 and Arsenal was displaced to the underdog that I had always loved to support, I thought "oh no, this match mustn't end this way".

The rest is history.

They lost the match and I became one of their biggest sympathizers then and a fan till date. I'm actually regretting that now.

How and when did you start supporting your club?
I've been supporting my beloved club, FC Barcelona since 1993 simply because of my love for Romario the brazilian who happens to be one of the best striker then.

To further extend my love & support for the club I became a card carrying member in February 2005 i.e 15 years membership. Up Barça..more than a club!!!

Enough of this black lives matter drama, it irritates me too the bone. See how the whites are trying to protect and improve black/African lives. But over here in Africa nothing is been done to improve our lives.
Everyday you hear of ritual killing.
Everyday people are kidnapped.
Everyday armed bandits are terrorizing people.
Everyday herdsmen gruesomely murder people.
Scamming is rampant.
Nigeria lacks industries.
We lack stable electricity.
Governments loots the resources of the people.
I keep asking myself is it the same creator that created both the WHITE MAN AND BLACK MAN?.
WE CONTINUE TO ELECT AND RECYCLE THE SAME INDIVIDUALS/ LEADERS WHO HAVE NEVER ADDED VALUE TO AFRICA LIVES/NIGERIAN LIVES.

TO HELL WITH BLACK LIVES MATTERS.
CHARITY THEY SAY BEGINS AT HOME.
ITS TIME TO TAKE THE FUTURE INTO YOUR HANDS. LET US JOIN HANDS TO BUILD A NIGERIA THAT IS LIKE AMERICA.

NIGERIAN LIVES MATTERS cry cry cry cry cry cry
You are on point my brother. This is what I expect majority of Nigerians to think deeply of. We should think about ourselves first, about our children and generation to come. We need to be strong and united in order to bring about the CHANGE we all expected. My children, your children and next generation to come deserve much more better life. NIGERIAN LIVES MATTERS!
