Hi, I have a date for 29th August. Pls send a PM if that suits u.
[/quotes]

Hi, just seeing your message ‍♀️
Thanks a lot. Funny enough, I was able to do it on the same 29th! I went there and pleaded with them on Wednesday, because I had an official trip coming up. They told me to come back the next day.
So that's sorted out now, report uploaded.
Thanks a lot for your concern.

SOS

Good morning house. Please is there anyone who has medicals appointment with IOM Abuja this week, and is willing to swap for September 3? I received an ADR for medical test (it expired, Ottawa VO delay wahala), and may be travelling out of town soon. Any assistance will be welcome. I will take care of all the swapping inconvenience too.
Thank you very much.

I almost changed my mind too at a certain point, wanted to withdraw my application and just stay back here and continue the Naija struggle. The delay can play some crazy games on your mind.

[color=#000099]Congratulations! grin

You must be interesting in person. You almost withdrew your application because of CIC delay? You vex reach like dat grin

Now you have gotten PPR, yet you still want to order GCMS notes out of curiosity? grin That $20 can buy pizza and ice cream on landing o grin

Reminds me of one in the Indian group who got COPR but was worried his status is not showing approved in his CIC account. Like seriously? grin grin

UPDATE: Guys, please I won't be able to accept any more people for the IELTS 'tutorial'. I'm so sorry, over twenty people have indicated interest, and I need to focus on them well, at least for now. Thanks for understanding!!

Good evening house. Been away for a looooong time after getting AOR, December 11. Waiting for updates was tortuous, and following Nairaland appeared to be a bigger torment for my impatient mind. I decided to switch off everything concerning Canada and face my work.
Anyway, I still havent received PPR, but somehow my mind is at ease now.
Please contact me if you need any help with your IELTS, especially in writing and speaking. Let me be useful to the house!

I had plans to start my ECA next week with pebc. I went to collect my university certificate today and I was told it wasn't ready yet and I have to wait till April to get it.

I don't know if I can use statement of result in place of the certificate. I went through the old threads and saw some people used their statement of results for their ECA, but that was for WES.

Please advise.

Yes you can use statement of result. As long your transcripts are ready, you're good to go.

Hi, to all those trusting God for victory over IELTS, don't give up. It's understandable how demoralizing low marks can be.
These tips might help:

1. If you're not naturally a good storyteller, then you have to make up different storylines at the back of your mind, that you can easily recall and use for your writing. Movies, TV shows, and even the News can help you. I remember during my test, we were asked to write a letrer to your city council about a historical place that has been abandoned and needs to be revived, and how to revive it or something like that. I then recalled once watching something on TV about Kontagora, the town where Nigeria's amalgamation was signed but no one remembers it now. There are some historical buildings and monuments in the town, but all are abandoned. So I wrote about Kontagora, how an amalgamation museum can be built there, a fund raising can be held for the project, and school children can visit on excursions. So, absorb as much info and stories as you can, they will help for Writing, and also for the speaking. Personal experiences are also an easy way out, don't be afraid of using things you've experienced if it fits the scenario.
Smile while speaking, it will calm you down.

2. Write with pencil, or an erasable pen if you are uncomfortable with pencil. There are many such pens in the market now. It will make your work easy if you want to change somethings.

3. Before writing, you could make an outline of your points at the back of the paper. It will help make your work sequential and well planned.

4. Use complex sentences, include linking terms.

5. For listening, all I can say is don't be distracted. All the answers will be mentioned in the audio, you can't afford to miss even one. It's very easy to get 9, it's also easy to get 6. Each mark counts.

6. Write in all CAPITAL LETTERS, to avoid missing an answer of case sensitive nature. Also be careful with spellings. Mining is not Minning.

Hello guys, please let me apologise in advance, I'm getting so many conflicting answers on this issue, and I fear for ADR that's why I want to double check!
If you are using Fixed deposit, do you still have to present 6 months account statement? The bank doesn't issue letter in IRCC format. Or is uploading just the FD certificate Okay?
Do I ask the bank to give me their own kind of reference letter?

Thanks a million.

Good afternoon house.
pls I need your imput. We are planning on using my husband as PA since he has an international masters degree and work experience and with him CRS ia about 486. We also don't have to evaluate his cert if am right.(save money)
Now that he found out that weac has to be evaluated we can't use him as PA anymore due to the difference in age. His passport says 39 which isnt same as waec age.
Using me as PA crs is 443 but with the increase in crs score and age palava(next birthday its a minus 5). I am confused, dont know which route to take. Has anyone here been in this situation. Please kindly advise. Thank you.

Is the Masters from Canada? If not I believe he still has to evaluate it. And his CRS is really high. Any siblings in Canada?

Some people submitted only deed of assignment/sale and proof of prior ownership, and have gotten PPR/COPR. I personally know someone that submitted only Deed of Sale and he landed in Edmonton last week.

Great. Thank you very much.

Hello house. Please for those who sold land to raise POF, must you get that the change of ownership document issued by the state govt, or is it okay to upload just the stamped Deed of Assignment/sale agreement as evidence of sale?.
I'm asking because getting the govt document is another long, expensive process, I'll have to start settling the community chief , district head, and then paying another sum to the land office. Thank you.

That's the advice given.
Always write your Listening and Reading answers in capital letters. It makes your writing clearer

Yes, it also saves you from the pitfall of misusing letter cases in Reading and Listening. Instead of wondering if you should start the word with a capital letter or small letter, just write everything in CAPS and you're good to go. If you mix up letter cases, you may lose marks.

Finally, I've seen the IELTS that gave me sleepless nights
Listening- 9
Writing- 7.5
Reading- 8.5
Speaking- 8.0
It's my first take, and I was so worried because one senior applicant told me how he practiced like a hundred tests, meanwhile I hadn't done a fraction of that.
I also wrote my answers in all CAPITAL letters, except for Writing. When I told two of my friends who took the test too, they looked at me as if I've already failed.
Then I wasted so much time on my letter because I loved the topic, ended up not having time to structure the essay part and proofread before submitting.
It's been the longest two weeks of my life ! Thank God it ended in praise o, because I don't know where to get 75k to give British Council again.
Now waiting for WES on the 20th before diving into this our legendary pool !!!

Ha me too o. I was told the result can be accessed online a day earlier. I've refreshed that page a thousand times today. So nervous, the wait is frustrating. Ordinary two weeks and I'm like this!!! Lord how will I survive the months it takes to PPR biko

WES should hold their peace with this WAEC matter o. My heart skipped a bit when I saw that update in requred documents. I've been counting down to August 20 when my evaluation is due for completion.
Anyway I doubt it will affect files at this stage, after all they wrote on my page that "Your evaluation is in progress. You're not required to do anything at this time." In fact, I didn't see anything, let me remove my mind from it.

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate.

Yes I have gotten my ref number

Please am trying to fill the request on UNN website but it's requesting for WES email and phone number.

Please how do I get it.

Also , do u know how long it takes to send the transcript.

Tnxxxx

Put "Nil". It should go. Mine was delivered in about a week. It is estimated to take 1-2 weeks from application, processing and delivery. You will get a tracking number sent to your email some days after you apply. That shows the transcript has been processed and dispatched.

Goodday All,
Please how do I Send my transcript to WES from UNN.
Thanks

Have you gotten your ref number from WES?

Go to the school website, unn.edu.ng, scroll to where STUDENTS is and click iTranscript.
You'll fill the form and indicate WES number and address etc, then pay 35k via online banking with ATM card.
Its quite seamless and easy. If you have any challenges, there's always an ONLINE assistant, check the lower right-hand section of your system, click on it and get your issues resolved instantly. (Try to use a laptop not phone for convenience)
Does this help? You can PM me for more info.

lolz...exactly.

What then is the point of applying single?
As far as i am concerned there is no difference in POF for singles and couples, and you get to have speedy PPR processing.
plus it is much easier to start life as a couple over there, since there will be two sources of income for almost the same expenses.

Then in a country about ten times the size of Nigeria but with a population of just 32 milion...goodluck finding a partner on time.grin grin

I think i have to triple my search.
Any single in the house ready to mingle should PM me jor...let's start our destiny from here. gringringrin

My own case is different concerning UNN's transcript processing.

Since April 29th 2018 we applied online and had someone to follow up till now, different stories upon stories.

The latest as at yesterday was they can't find my wife's file.

Two weeks ago the story was that they were typing the transcript.

Am in a fixed. Don't know what to do.

I have called the numbers i got from this wonderful group but still no positive information.

I really need help on this.
