proposed visa interview, please I'm ready for scrutiny and advice
VO: GOOD MORNING ME: GOOD MORNING SIR VO: why going to America Me: I'm going for a bachelor's studies in health, human performance and human performance VO: why health, human performance and sports management Me: I chose the course due to my passion for sport and the betterment of sports sector in Nigeria due to the fact that sports in Nigeria is in a shamble sport because of lack of proper management and lack of knowledge about sports management by the people heading the sector, doin this course will equip adequately in shaping the sports in Nigeria which will indirectly increase the economic growth of Nigeria VO: how many schools did you apply to. Me: 3 ( Florida State University, university of Arkansas at Little Rock and minessota State University) Vo: how many accepted you Me: 2 accepted (florida state university and university of Arkansas at Little Rock) .... Vo: why did you choose UARL ME: I chose uarl because of they offer undergraduate mentorship opportunities which is more of practical work than theoretical work, their students to faculty ratio is 14:1 which will give me greater access to the staffs and professors in the faculty and thirdly, due to the high spirited sport activates in the school, they belong to the sun belt conference which is affiliated with NCAA 1 and also a prof in the department has requested for undergraduate student for volunteers in his current research work which I'm interested in VO: how did you get to know about the school Me: I got to know through usnews, us news and world ranking and I also visited the school website to know some facts about the school and the the course outline is aligned to my career prospect VO: did you write any test Me: No, it was waived for undergraduate studies Vo: what year did you leave high school Me: 2009 vo: what have you been doing since you left Sxhool Me:i was enrolled in a vocational school. Where I learnt about fish farming and after I left the school, I established my own small scale fish farming Vo: what will u do after ur degree. Me: I'll come back home to pick up a job at any of the sport club or even work with the Nigeria football federation and still monitor my fish farm VO: who is you sponsor me: my uncle VO: what does he do Me: he's a bursar at University of.... |

Mazzykay: My visa interview was for 6:45 today, I got to the embassy around 6:00 and after everything we moved into the building around 7:10 or so....
Vo: Good morning sir Me: Good morning, how are you sir? (Didn't answer) Vo: so why are you going to the US? Me: to pursue my bachelors degree in digital communication & multimedia Vo: how many schools did you apply to? Me: two ( I named them) Vo: so why did you choose southwest Minnesota over Harrisburg? Me: southwest Minnesota already admitted me while I'm still on a waiting list for Harrisburg university Vo: how did you find out about the school and Why southwest Minnesota state University? Me: well my high school colleague got admitted there and her name is ...... she told me about the numerous opportunity I would get from the sch and when she told me I begin my research on the school and I found out it was the best for me, smsu don't charge out of state tuition, that means I get to pay the same amount with a Minnesota resident..smsu is also accredited by the North Central association of colleges and it's part of the universities in America with the highest ranking and it's cheap which makes it easily for my mom to fund my education Vo: okay did you sit for any exam? Me: Yeah, SAT Vo: what was your score? Me: 1150 Vo: what your highest level of education Me: high school and I'm having my WAEC result here with me Vo: when did you graduated from High school? Me : 2013 Vo: 2013? Me: Yes Vo: so what have you been doing? Me: I went into apprenticeship of computer training which lasted for about a year and went into an apprenticeship of cinematography Vo: okay, who's your sponsor? Me: my mom Vo: what does your mom do? Me: she's a building contractor, she also supplies building materials to private companies and the government Vo: okay unfortunately you're not eligible for a visa at this time.....
Guys I know I'm not perfect but what do you think happened I don't understand, this is my first attempt tho.....I'm planning on reapplying again from what have learnt on this forum, why the University....i think u should v talked more about how the academic curriculum of the department will boast ur career and not talking about tuition fee and the likes |

5. Waec result/ university transcripts
6. International passport
7. 2 copies 600x600 passport photograph
8. Sevis fee receipt
9. All other supporting documents can neco result be used in place of waec result |

Yrey: After pleasantries I passed my passport and I 20 VO:Looks at my I 20 and asked why I choose California miramar university
Me:I choose CMU because the curriculum aligns with my career objectives. They have an impressive 13:1 student to faculty ratio. Moreso, because of the Mediterranean climate
VO: How many schools did you apply to
Me: One
VO:Did you take any standardised test?
Me: No
VO:Have you travelled out of the country before
Me: No
VO: Who is sponsoring you and what does the person do(I forgot to state that I have person funds, it's stated on my I 20)
Me:My aunt. She's the CEO of phoba farms and she's also a civil servant in my state...... Next thing na blue paper
My eyes didn't see a single WHITE PAPER today. Its my first attempt. I did nursing in my first degree now going for MBA with concentration in healthcare management .School resumes February 21 you could have at least said u applied to more than one school to increase ur chances |
