Phones / Samsung Galaxy A72 Vs Samsung Galaxy A52 Comparison by Valorreviews(m): 11:07am On Aug 01, 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41WvMjPXjj8

When the Samsung Galaxy A52 was launched in Nigeria, the Price was N139,000 for the 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage version, and now thanks to the policies of the CBN Governor, the price is now N160,000. The Samsung Galaxy A72 on launch day was N198,500 for the 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage option and now you can pick one up for N215,000.

With the sudden and regrettable increase in price, it is important more than ever to know what differentiates the Samsung Galaxy A52 from the A72.

Build Quality

The build quality isn’t what makes the Samsung Galaxy A72 more expensive, NO. Both smartphones have a plastic rear, plastic frame, and the display of both smartphones is protected with corning gorilla glass 5. Both can be abused and still function, these smartphones are tough but just don’t drop them face down. Both smartphones are IP67 Water and dust resistant up to 1m for 30mins and as for the weight, the Samsung Galaxy A72 is the heavier device.

External features

For the external features, both smartphones have dual stereo speakers and they sound identical. They both have a hybrid sim card tray and a memory card slot. They have an in-display fingerprint scanner and I found the fingerprint scanner of the Samsung Galaxy A52 to be more accurate and responsive. Both smartphones have a 3.5mm audio jack, usb type c port, and a secondary mic at the top. So the external features aren’t what makes the Samsung Galaxy A72 more expensive. Maybe the display?

Display

Well, moving to the display, the Samsung Galaxy A52 comes with a 6.5 inch 1080p Super AMOLED display while the Samsung Galaxy A72 has a 6.7 inch 1080p Super AMOLED display. Both displays have a 90Hz Refresh rate and both displays are vibrant and equally bright. For the display quality, they are identical. The only difference I can see here is the Samsung Galaxy A72 is taller. I personally prefer the display size of the Samsung Galaxy A52, it is a more compact smartphone that you can use with one hand.

Performance

Moving to the processor, the Samsung Galaxy A52 and A72 come with the snapdragon 720G processor. The Snapdragon 720G Processor is an 8nm processor, a mid-range processor that offers decent gaming and multitasking capabilities. Multitasking is slightly better on the Samsung Galaxy A72 because it has 8GB of RAM against the 6GB of Ram on the A52. For gaming, both smartphones come with the Adreno 618 GPU and they played games at the same graphics settings. Pubg ran on HD graphics and high frame rate and at 30 fps.
Call of Duty ran at very high graphics and a very high frame rate. If you are a gamer, and you are stuck between these two smartphones, you will be please to know that they offer the same gaming performance. For the operating system, both smartphones are running android 11 with one UI 3.1 and Both will get monthly security updates for 4 years and 2 or 3 Android OS updates.

Cameras

For the front cameras, both smartphones have a 32MP front-facing camera and they take identical pictures. Samsung really does know how to take pictures I must say. I am particularly impressed with the cameras of the Samsung Galaxy A52 because it isn’t all that expensive but the pictures are just sharp, detailed, and vibrant. Portrait shots look very good on both smartphones and still, I can’t see any difference between the pictures of the Samsung Galaxy A52 compared with the Samsung Galaxy A72.

Moving to the rear camera, again, they both come with a 64MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, and both have a 5MP macro camera. The Samsung Galaxy A52 has a 5MP depth camera and the Samsung Galaxy A72 come with an 8MP telephoto camera that has Optical image stabilization.

For the 64MP main camera, photos are vibrant, clean and they look identical. 12MP ultra-wide camera takes very good and colorful pictures and they look identical, Macro shots using the 5MP camera look identical. The Samsung Galaxy A52 has a 5MP depth camera and the Samsung Galaxy A72 doesn’t but for portrait shots, I can’t see any difference. The difference is with the telephoto camera. The Samsung Galaxy A72 can take 30X photos while the A52 can only take 10X photos. Is this important, well not to me, I dont spy on my neighbors but if you do, the A72 8MP telephoto camera should come in handy.

Battery

For the battery, the Samsung Galaxy A72 has a bigger battery capacity. It has a 5,000 mAh battery and it comes with a 25 watts fast charger while the Samsung Galaxy A52 comes with a 4,500 mAh battery with a 15 watts fast charger. Considering the price of the A52, I think Samsung should have included a faster charger.

For charging time,
It took the Samsung Galaxy A72 1hr 26mins to charge to 100% while it took the Samsung Galaxy A52 1hr 36mins to charge to 100%.

For the battery drain test, after installing the necessary games and apps for the drain test, the battery level of the Samsung Galaxy A72 dropped to 88% while the Samsung galaxy A52 was at 91%.

I calibrated the displays of both smartphones to have the same brightness and ran the AnTuTu benchmark app. After three hours, the battery level dropped to 46% for the A52 and 43% for the Samsung Galaxy A72.

I launched Genshin impact for 2 hours, the battery of the A52 dropped to 8% and the A72 is at 10%. The Samsung Galaxy A52 died first not too long after the A72 followed. Under sustained load, I got almost identical battery life from both smartphones.

Conclusion

The Samsung Galaxy A52 is the device I would pick. It is cheaper, build quality is the same, performance is the same, cameras are almost the same except that the Samsung Galaxy A72 has a telephoto camera which I dont really need and the battery life is almost identical. Also, the A52 is easier to hold in the hand.

Phones / POCO X3 Pro Unboxing & Review by Valorreviews(m): 5:47pm On May 25, 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JL9gQFusZKQ

If superman was a budget smartphone he would be the Poco X3 pro. The Poco X3 Pro is the fastest budget smartphone for the year 2021 and nothing comes close. Priced at $230 or N115,000, it is cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy A52, Redmi note 10 Pro, Tecno camon 17 Pro and it annihilates those smartphones in the performance department but it does have a few flaws.
[img][/img]
Unboxing

The POCO X3 Pro comes with a 33 watts fast charger that charges this device from 0-100% in 70mins. It comes with a USB type C cable, Poco Stickers, a TPU case, warranty, and user guide manuals.

Build Quality

For the build quality, the POCO X3 Pro has a plastic rear, the frame is made out of plastic and the display is protected with corning gorilla glass 6. This is one durable smartphone because of the plastic rear and frame. As for the display, it offers improved drop and scratch resistance but you still need to get a plastic screen protector if you live life on the edge as I do.

The POCO X3 Pro is an IP 53 dust and splash-resistant smartphone. I have dumped it inside water and everything works fine so in my books, it can handle water and it will survive if you happen to get it wet.

For the weight, it isn’t a light device. It weighs 215grams and over time, if you use this smartphone for long hours, you will feel the heft.

External Features

POCO X3 Pro comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, USB type C port, a mic, and a speaker. It has dual stereo speakers and they are loud. The 2nd speaker is located at the top, it also has a sound outlet here so you have sound hitting you from the front, the left, and the right. Another thing worth mentioning is the rear vibrates when you turn up the volume and you can feel it. Some people like it, some don’t, I think it is a brilliant idea because it makes what you are watching come alive. On the right side, it comes with a dual nano sim card tray and a memory card slot. At the top is where the IR blaster, secondary microphone, and speaker are located. you will see the volume and the power buttons on the right side. The power button doubles as the fingerprint scanner and it is super fast, instant and it works 99% of the time.

Moving to the rear, you will see the big, bold, and beautiful POCO sign and the Camera bump. I used the Poco X3 NFC and I have gotten used to how it looks. More on the cameras to come when I get to the camera section of this video.

Display

Moving to the display, it is a 6.67 inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1080 X 2400 Pixels. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Because it is hard to explain how the 120Hz refresh rate looks like on camera, here is a video showing you just how smooth and a big deal the 120Hz refresh rate is. As for the 240 Hz touch sampling rate, well, it is a fancy way of saying the display is very responsive to touch which is good for gaming. The display has a bit of bezel especially at the bottom but honestly, it isn’t going to bother you one bit. The camera hole punch is also not that big unlike some other smartphones and coupled with the dual stereo speakers and the size of this display, consuming content is enjoyable.

It isn’t until you hold your friend’s Redmi note 10 Pro that you begin to notice that your display isn’t that contrasty or vibrant. The major negative this smartphone has is the display and I get why they used an IPS LCD panel and that is to keep the price of this smartphone down. For an IPS LCD Panel, it is one of the best I have used and I have used a lot of them and with the 120Hz refresh rate, I can live with it.

Performance

Performance is where the Poco X3 Pro Reigns Supreme in the budget category. It is powered by the Snapdragon 860 Processor, a 7nm chipset that offers flagship-level performance. The Snapdragon 860 processor is the leading 4G Flagship processor in the year 2021 and looking at the Antutu benchmark score and the Geek Bench score of this device, nothing comes close.
The processor isn’t the only component inside this smartphone that makes it super fast. It has UFS 3.1 storage that offers snappy read and write speed. This makes opening apps, saving super fast on this smartphone.

The Poco X3 pro comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Multitasking is fluid and fast and it has more than enough space for you to install heavy games.

Speaking about gaming, no other smartphone plays games better than the Poco X3 Pro in the budget category. PUGB Runs at HDR graphics and Extreme Frame rate while other smartphones run it at HD graphics and High frame rate.

Geshin impact, one of the most demanding games for a smartphone to play, the Poco X3 Pro runs it at the highest graphic settings and at 60FPS. what!!!

The thing about this smartphone is it doesn’t just run these games at the highest graphics settings, the gameplay is butter smooth. Especially for PUBG, it is like I have superpowers, a sixth sense when I use this smartphone.

Granted the phone does get a bit warm when playing games for long durations even with the Liquid cool technology that provides up to 6% cooling. but show me a phone that doesn’t get warm when you crank up the graphics settings to the highest. Does the Poco X3 Pro throttle when it gets hot, I played pubg for about an hour and I didn’t notice any frame drop.

For the operating system, the Poco X3 Pro is running Andriod 11 with Miui version 12.0.5 scrolling from the home screen to the app drawer to launching apps is fast thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate and the powerful flagship processor. It is a joy to use. It has some special features like a game mode that allows you to increase touch response and enhance the visuals, it has a video toolbox that gives you a shortcut to record, take a screenshot, and cast to a compatible display among other things. It has “second space” that allows you to have different profiles on one smartphone.

Cameras

For the cameras, the Poco X3 pro comes with a 20MP F2.2 front-facing camera, and here are pictures captured with it. Pictures look decent for a $200 smartphone. Portrait shots look decent. Overall I am ok with the front-facing camera.

For the rear camera, the poco X3 Pro comes with a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth camera. Here are picture samples captured using the cameras of the Poco X3 pro.

Battery

For the battery, the Poco X3 pro comes with a 5,160 mAh battery, and even with the 120Hz refresh rate and the powerful processor, it still got me through the day. Here is the charging time of the Poco X3 Pro and to charge from 0-100% in 70 mins is not bad.

Charging Time:
15mins 23%
30mins 49%
45mins 68%
60mins 91%
70mins 100%

Conclusion

The Poco X3 Pro is the only smartphone that deserves the Pro label. With the snapdragon 860 chipset, the amount of power it delivers is breathtaking. The price is very affordable. The display, yes it is an IPS LCD Panel but I tell you when you start using this smartphone, you are going to forget all about that and be marveled by how fast, fluid this performance machine is. I have the redmi note 10 pro, the Samsung Galaxy A52, Samsung Galaxy A72, and do you know the smartphone I pick up when I want to play games or edit videos? It's the Poco X3 Pro. It gives you flagship-level performance at $230.

Phones / Infinix Hot 10T Unboxing And Review by Valorreviews(m): 1:36pm On Apr 30, 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EW_Uv5dwC7M

The Infinix Hot 10T, not to be confused with the Infinix Hot 10S comes with a 90Hz refresh rate, a fast midrange process that is good for gaming, a 5,000 mAh battery, and the price, well this is one affordable smartphone.

Unboxing

Opening the box, the first item you will see is the smartphone. This color is called “heart of Ocean” and it looks alright. Back to the box, it comes with a sim removal tool. One X gold which you can use to win gifts by scanning the QR code using the Xclub Application. It comes with an Xpark Leaflet, a film screen protector, a plastic case that fits the smartphone perfectly. A 10 watts charger, micro usb cable, and an earpiece are included in the package as well.

Build Quality

The Infinix Hot 10T has a plastic rear and frame and I love smartphones that are made from plastic because they are durable. The display isn’t hardened and I would recommend you get a plastic screen protector to make this smartphone drop resistant. For moments where you accidentally drop your smartphone inside water, the Infinix Hot 10T would survive with no issues. Overall the build quality is good.

External Features

Moving to the external features, the Infinix Hot 10T comes with an earphone jack, a mic, a micro usb port, and a single speaker. The speaker produces decent sound and like most single speakers, you can block it while gaming. Looking at the left side, the Infinix Hot 10T comes with a dual nano sim card tray and a memory card slot. At the top, there is nothing. The right side is where the volume and power button are located. At the rear, you will find the fingerprint scanner and I must say it is fast. Moving to the rear cameras. the main shooter is a 48MP camera, it has an AI camera and a depth camera so basically, it only has one functional camera. At the front, it has two LED lights and an 8MP front-facing camera inside the teardrop.

Display

The Infinix hot 10T comes with a 6.82-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720 X 1640 pixels. It is a big display with a 90Hz refresh rate that delivers smooth scrolling and a 180Hz touch sampling rate that improves the responsiveness of the display when you touch it. Consuming content on this big display is ok, the colors and clarity won’t blow you away as it is a 720P display but consuming content on it is decent. The display is a bright one and can be used outdoors with no issues.

Performance

Where the big display comes in handy is in multitasking, gaming, and browsing. The Infinix Hot 10T can handle those tasks thanks to the Mediatek Helio G70 Processor. it is a 12nm processor with decent multitasking and gaming capabilities. The model I have here comes with 4GB of RAM, 64Gb of internal storage and I have to say scrolling, jumping from one application to another and gaming was smooth.

Gaming isn’t an issue for the Infinix Hot 10T thanks to the processor and the Mali G52 GPU. This smartphone can play games like PUBG at HD Graphics and High frame rate and I got a steady 30FPS while playing. For Call of duty, it ran the game at medium graphics and high frame rate. The gameplay was fluid and I got a steady 30 FPS.
Surprisingly, the infinix Hot 10T can play Geshin Impact. Some smartphones can’t play this game so that is a big positive. it shows how capable and well-optimized the Processor and the GPU are.

The Infinix Hot 10T is running android 11 with XOS dolphin Version 7.6.0. It has some new features like Peek proof that allows you to hide a portion of your screen so that the person next to you can see what’s going on your screen. It has “theft alert” that sounds an alarm when the earphone or the micro usb cable is removed from the smartphone. It supports screencast that allows you to share the display and audio of your smartphone to a comparable laptop or tv. It has kids mode where a parent can control smartphone usage and block apps. Social turbo is also useful for WhatsApp, it allows you to change your voice, record WhatsApp voice calls, enhance your looks and read messages without the sender knowing.

You can clone apps like Facebook and WhatsApp making it possible to use more than one account and there are a lot of gestures to use to increase your productivity.

The Negative part of the XOS Dolphin skin on the Infinix Hot 10T is it comes with bloatware. I counted 19 apps that shouldn't be on this phone, luckily you can uninstall some of them. Nothing thing that might annoy users is from the app drawer, when you swipe down, you see featured wallpapers and top games. Unfortunately, you can remove or disable it. If you really want to get rid of it you can use a launcher like NOVA launcher and you can customize the look of your smartphone. So there is always a way to correct the wrongs but you have to work for it.

Cameras

The front camera on the Infinix Hot 10T is an 8MP camera. The pictures look ok, nothing spectacular but very useable. Portrait shoots look decent as well. It has a short video mode with interesting filters and audio. Overall I think the pictures the front camera captures are sharp and detailed enough for social media posts.

Moving to the rear cameras, the main camera captures 12MP pictures 4 times, merges them into one picture to give a 48MP picture. The pictures captured surprisingly look very good. Portraits are decent as well. Night photos surprised me as well.
For the price of this smartphone, it takes decent look pictures, especially the rear camera.

Battery

The Infinix Hot 10T comes with a 5,000 mAh battery and that would easily last the entire day. Unfortunately charging this device would take a long time as it comes with a 10 watts charger.

CONCLUSION

The Infinix Hot 10T is priced at N65,400 for the 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage version while the 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage version goes for N72,000. The Build quality is top-notch, the display is large and the quality is ok, the Mediatek Helio G70 processor is fast, it is good for multitasking and gaming. The cameras are decent and the rear cameras are really good for the price of this smartphone.

Phones / Redmi Note 10 Vs Samsung Galaxy A32 - Which Is Better? by Valorreviews(m): 6:47pm On Apr 25, 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUaU-q2wnP0

Hello guys, valor reviews here, and in this video, I will be comparing the Redmi note 10 with the Samsung Galaxy A32. I will be comparing the Build quality, external features, Display, performance, cameras, and battery of both smartphones to see which smartphone is better.

Build Quality

The redmi note 10 cost N98,500 or $201 for the 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage version while the Samsung Galaxy A32 cost N113,500 or $231 for the same configuration. The price difference between these two smartphones is N15,000 or $30. Keep that in mind as we go along with the comparison.

For the build quality, both smartphones have a plastic rear and plastic frame. You can torture both smartphones and everything will be alright as long as both smartphones hit their rear. I wouldn’t be too confident dropping both smartphones face down without a screen protector but the Samsung Galaxy A32 has a higher chance of surviving as the display is protected with corning gorilla glass 5 while the Redmi Note 10 display is protected with corning gorilla glass 3. So for the build quality, the Samsung A32 wins.

As for water resistance, the Redmi Note 10 is an IP53 dust and splash-resistant smartphone. It can be submerged in water and the phone will be fine. As for the Samsung Galaxy A32, it isn’t water-resistant and the last time I put it in water, I was lucky I got away with it.

It isn’t like the Redmi Note 10 is perfect, I saw a video where the redmi note 10 failed the bend test, I am not brave or rich enough to try that out but let’s be objective, which action is more likely to happen, your smartphone falling inside water or you bending your smartphone like this? So for the build quality which one would you pick? Let me know in the comment section.

External features

For the external features, both smartphones come with a 3.5mm audio jack, a mic, USB type C port, and a speaker. The Redmi Note 10 has a second speaker located at the top over here and sound also comes out from the earpiece area so we have sound hitting you from the left side, the right side, and from the front. For gaming or watching a video on your smartphone, it can get immersive and captivating. The Samsung Galaxy A32 on the other hand has one speaker, It is kinda loud, not as loud as the Redmi Note 10 and you can easily block it when playing games making the game less enjoyable. Both smartphones have a dual nano sim card tray and a memory card slot. At the top, both smartphones have a secondary microphone, the Redmi Note 10 has an IR blaster, and of course the second speaker which I talked about. Both smartphones have volume buttons and a power button on the right side. The Power button of the Redmi Note 10 doubles as the fingerprint scanner. Samsung used a different approach as its fingerprint scanner is located on the display. It has an optical fingerprint scanner and for speed and accuracy, the side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the Redmi Note 10 is faster and more accurate. The Real question is do you want a stylish fingerprint scanner or do you want one that is fast and accurate? I’ll take the faster one. The Face Unlock feature on the Redmi Note 10 is faster than the Samsung Galaxy A32 so For the external features, it is a clear victory for the Redmi Note 10.

Display

Moving to the display, the Redmi Note 10 comes with a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 X 2400 Pixels. While the Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 X 2400 Pixels.

For the display what separates these two smartphones are the brightness and refresh rate. The Redmi Note 10 has a brighter display, it goes as bright as 1,100 nits as claimed by Xiaomi, looking at both of the displays, it is brighter than the Samsung Galaxy A32. Where the Samsung Galaxy A32 strikes back is with its 90Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, the Redmi Note 10 is stuck at 60Hz.

The display on both smartphones looks identical, both displays look impressive, colorful, and vibrant and that is because both display panels are made by Samsung. So for the display quality, they are the same but because the Samsung Galaxy A32 has a 90Hz refresh rate, it wins in the Display Department.

Performance

Moving on to the processors, the Redmi Note 10 comes with the snapdragon 678 chipset, it is an 11nm processor while the Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with the Mediatek Helio G80 processor, a 12m processor.

Which processor is better, well Antutu Benchmark thinks that the Redmi Note 10 performs better than the Samsung Galaxy A32. Same with Geek bench 5 we have higher numbers on the Redmi Note 10, same with GFXBench, same with PC mark and Performance Test mobile. All 5 performance benchmark apps say the Redmi note 10 is faster.

Redmi fans dont celebrate yet. Sometimes benchmark results don’t really tell the full story. What about real-world usage. Well from using the Samsung Galaxy A32, I notice it stutters a bit when you navigate to the Google Discover page. I also noticed when I have an app open and I exit the app and swipe left and right, it stutters. These are not big issues, I can live with them but it’s there. Maybe a software update can fix it, we know. One thing I will say is when the Samsung Galaxy A32 doesn’t stutter, because of the 90hz refresh rate scrolling is better, more fluid than the 60Hz display of the Redmi note 10.

What about gaming, for call of duty, the Samsung Galaxy A32 ran the game at medium graphics and high frame rate while the Redmi note 10 ran it at high graphics and max frame rate. Surprisingly the Redmi Note 10 did get hot and it was hanging while the Samsung Galaxy A32 ran the game well.

For Geshin Impact, the Redmi Note 10 struggled to play the game even on the lowest graphics settings. Geshin Impact brought the Redmi Note 10 down to its knees. I have never seen something like this before. As for the Samsung Galaxy A32, it played fine on the lowest graphics settings.

For real racing 3 and Asphalt 9, both smartphones ran the game well. You are really into gaming it doesn’t look like the Redmi Note 10 is the device for you. Maybe a software update would fix these issues but as of now, it has issues and I suspect it’s throttling issues as it gets really hot.

So for performance, from benchmark results, the Redmi Note 10 is the winner but when it comes to playing games, the Samsung Galaxy A32 played them better.

CAMERAS

For the front cameras, the Redmi Note 10 comes with a 13MP front-facing camera while the Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with a 20MP front-facing camera. To my eyes, the Redmi Note 10 takes better pictures. What about video? The Redmi note 10 video has a better dynamic range and better colors plus they look real.

Moving to the rear Cameras, The Redmi Note 10 comes with a 48MP camera while the Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with a 64MP main Camera. Looking at pictures captured by the main cameras, the Redmi Note 10 captures real to life pictures, the Samsung Galaxy A32 is inventing its colors, I mean the sky wasn’t this blue, the sky looked exactly like how the Redmi note 10 captured it. The Samsung Galaxy A32 64MP main camera isn’t flexing its higher Megapixel count, the details captured by the two cameras are identical and I would even give the edge to the Redmi Note 10.
Moving to the wide-angle camera, both smartphones come with an 8MP wide camera, again the Samsung Galaxy A32 tends to increase its saturation but I prefer the pictures captured by the Redmi Note 10 as it looks natural.
Night mode on both smartphones looks uninspiring. Redmi Note 10 has a 2MP macro and 2MP depth camera while the Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with a 2MP macro and 2MP depth camera. Macro shots don’t look that good on both smartphones but as for portrait shots, the Redmi note 10 wins it for me. Pictures just look better on the Redmi Note 10.

Battery

In terms of battery capacity, both smartphones come with a 5,000 mAh battery. But when it comes to charging time it is a different story. The Redmi Note 10 comes with a 33 watts fast charger and the device supports 33 watts charging while the Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with a 15 watts fast charger and even if you get a faster charger it isn’t going to make a difference.

For the charging time, it took the Samsung Galaxy A32 2hours 17mins to charge from 0-100% while it took the Redmi note 10 1hour 26mins to charge from 0-100%.

Conclusion

Looking at the Price, the build quality, the external features, the performance, camera, and battery life of these two smartphones, the one I will pick is the Redmi note 10. This doesn’t mean the Samsung Galaxy A32 is a bad device, no. It’s just that the Redmi Note 10 is cheaper, it has a good display that is identical to the Samsung Galaxy A32, it has good performance even though it’s terrible when it comes to playing games like Geshin Impact and Call of duty, it has better cameras, and faster battery charging time.

And on that note, the Redmi note 10 the winner of this comparison. If you are thinking of getting the Samsung Galaxy A32, save yourself the hassle and buy the Samsung Galaxy A52 instead. I made a video comparing them and you should check it out.

Phones / Poco X3 Pro Vs Poco X3 NFC Comparison! Worth The Upgrade? by Valorreviews(m): 8:45am On Apr 16, 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYxOiadjBqQ

Introduction

Before we compare these two smartphones, let’s talk about the price. The Poco X3 Pro goes for $229 for the 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage version, and guess what, the Poco X3 NFC, the previous version goes for that same price with the same specifications. This is simply unbelievable. What on earth is going on at POCO!

Ladies and gentlemen, hands down the Poco X3 Pro offers the best value for money and no smartphone comes close. If you are looking for a smartphone that is fast, cheap, and offers the absolute best performance, I am talking about flagship-level kinda performance, this is it. Look no further, the Poco X3 Pro is the device you need to get.

External Features & Build Quality

For the external features, both smartphones are identical, so identical that you can swipe the nano sim card tray and they fit perfectly. At the bottom, both smartphones come with a 3.5mm audio jack, USB type C port, a mic, both smartphones have stereo speakers. This is the first speaker, the second speaker is located at the top. For the speakers, they sound exactly the same and the rear of both smartphones vibrates when you increase the volume which I really like.

Back to the top, both smartphones have an IR blaster and a secondary microphone. Moving to the right side, both smartphones have the volume and the power button. The power button doubles as the fingerprint scanner and the fingerprint scanner of the Poco X3 Pro unlocks faster than the Poco X3 NFC. Face unlock is fast on both smartphones and its accurate.

How durable are these smartphones, well both have a plastic frame and rear and because plastic is tough, you are not going to have issues if you happen to drop any of these smartphones. Both smartphones dont have the same IP rating, IP 53 dust, and splash resistance and in my test, they can be submerged in water for a bit and survive.

Where the Poco X3 Pro edges out the Poco X3 NFC in terms of build quality is in the display protection. Poco X3 pro display is protected with Corning Gorilla 6 while the Poco X3 NFC has Corning Gorilla 5 protection making the Poco X3 Pro more durable. Corning Gorilla 6 is superior and it offers improved drop and scratch protection.
So for the Build Quality, the Poco X3 Pro wins as it has superior display protection.

Display

For the Display, there isn’t any improvement from the previous version, both displays are identical, they have the same measurement at 6.67inches, they have the same screen-to-body ratio, the same resolution at 1080 X 2400 Pixels, the same brightness at 450 nits, the same 120Hz refresh rate and the same 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display isn’t bad for an IPS LCD panel. I really like the colors it produces. This display is actually one of my favorite IPS LCD panels as it kinda looks like an AMOLED display when consuming content. So guys for the display, it is a tie, no improvements here, they are basically the same.

Performance

Performance is the only area where the improvement between these two smartphones is huge and I mean huge! The Poco X3 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 860 chipset it is a 7nm Processor, a flagship processor while the Poco X3 NFC comes with the snapdragon 732G processor, an 8nm processor, a mid-range processor.

How fast is the Snapdragon 860 compared to the snapdragon 732G, well let’s start with the user interface. Scrolling on the Poco X3 pro is smoother especially when you go to the google discover page. Launching applications is faster on the Poco X3 Pro, it doesn’t matter which application it is, the Poco X3 Pro opens it faster than the Poco X3 NFC and that’s partly because it has a faster processor and faster read and write speed. Poco X3 Pro comes with UFS 3.1 while the Poco X3 NFC comes with UFS 2.1

Looking at the antutu Benchmark results, the Poco X3 pro has the higher numbers and for the geekbench result, again the Poco X3 Pro wins.

With the Snapdragon 860 processor and Adreno 640 GPU gameplay is superior on the Poco X3 pro compared to the Poco X3 NFC. PUBG ran on HDR Graphics and Extreme Frame rate while it ran on high graphics and high frame rate on the Poco X3 Nfc. Gehsin impact ran on the highest graphics setting on both smartphones but the gameplay was much better and smoother on the Poco X3 Pro. Real Racing 3 ran perfectly on both smartphones and asphalt 9 run well on both smartphones. Call of Duty ran at the highest graphics settings on the Poco X3 Pro while it ran on high graphics and max frame rate on the Poco X3 NFC. The gameplay on both smartphones was ok.

The Poco X3 Pro with the snapdragon 860 chipset and Adreno 640 GPU handles demanding games far better than the Poco X3 NFC and if you are a gamer, you need to upgrade to the Poco X3 pro as it is more powerful. For multitasking I found both smartphones to be equal to the task as both smartphones have 6GB of RAM. it wasn’t an issue for any of these smartphones. Both smartphones are running on Android 11, Poco X3 NFC is running on Miui 12.0.6 while Poco X3 Pro is running on Miui 12.0.4. I am sure it would get an update to bring it on par with the Poco X3 NFC very soon. For performance, the Poco X3 Pro wins.

Cameras

The Poco X3 Pro comes with a 20MP F2.2 camera, the same as the Poco X3 NFC. Looking at the pictures I took, the photos look identical. My skin tone on the Poco X3 NFC is a bit darker while the skin tone on the Poco X3 Pro is brighter. I prefer the look of the Poco X3 NFC but both cameras did a good job and to me and they look identical.

Moving to the rear camera, The Poco X3 Pro comes with a 48MP main camera while the Poco X3 NFC comes with a 64MP main camera. Which main camera is better? Well for me, it prefer the pictures from the Poco X3 Pro. which one do you guys prefer? Let me know in the comment section below.

For the ultra-wide camera, the Poco X3 Pro comes with an 8MP camera while the Poco X3 NFC comes with a 13MP camera. To my eyes, I prefer the pictures from the Poco X3 NFC.

Both smartphones come with a 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera that are just there.

Night photos are better on the Poco X3 Pro.

Overall, I think the Poco X3 Pro wins the camera comparison but not by much.

Battery

For the batteries, both smartphones come with a 5,160 mAh battery with a 33 watts fast charger. I played PUBG for 1 hour on both smartphones and the battery level was the same. I’ll be doing a battery drain test so subscribe if you dont want to miss out on that video.

Conclusion

The Poc X3 pro might look like the Poco X3 NFC but when it comes to performance, the Poco X3 Pro blows everything away. If you are on a budget and you want the most powerful smartphone for gaming, multitasking, if you want a budget smartphone that performs on par with flagship devices, this is it, guys. Look no further. The Poco X3 Pro is the best budget smartphone available in the market and no other smartphone is going to take its crown.

Phones / TECNO Spark 7P Unboxing And Review by Valorreviews(m): 11:00am On Apr 12, 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arvrdROYoNc

Hello guys, valor reviews here and this is my full review of the TECNO Spark 7P. I am going to walk you through the unboxing experience, share with you what I think about the build quality, display, performance, cameras, and battery life of this smartphone.

Unboxing

The TECNO Spark 7P comes with a TPU case that fits the smartphone well. it comes with a warranty leaflet, a sim removal tool. Here is the star of the show, the smartphone and you can see some of the important specifications like the 90Hz refresh rate. Yes, you heard right, the TECNO Spark 7P has a 90Hz refresh rate. You can see that it also comes with the mediatek Helio G70 Processor, 16MP triple camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery. The color of this smartphone is called alps blue and it looks more like silver. Other available colors are Magnet Black, Spruce Green, and Summer Mojito. Back to the box, It comes with a 10 watts charger, Micro USB Cable, and an earpiece.

Build Quality

For the build quality, the TECNO Spark 7P is a solid device and feels well made. The rear and frame are made from plastic and it can withstand assault like this without getting damaged. As for IP rating, the Tecno Spark 7P isn’t water-resistant but if you accidentally drop it in water, it should be fine with no issues. Moving to the external features, on the right side you’ll find the volume keys and power button. On the left side is where you will find the dual nano sim card tray and memory card slot. Looking at the top there is nothing. Moving to the bottom, you’ll find the 3.5mm audio jack, micro usb port, and one of the dual stereo speakers. The other speaker is located at the earpiece area of the Smartphone and they sound very good. The rear of the smartphone is where the fingerprint scanner is located and it is fast. It also comes with an LED light that makes the camera cut out to glow. TECNO Spark 7P comes with a triple camera setup, more on the Camerasto come and Moving to the front, it has two led lights and a teardrop camera hole.

Display

The display on the TECNO Spark 7P is a 6.82-inch HD+ panel with a resolution of 720 X 1640 Pixels. The resolution might not be exciting news but it has a refresh rate of 90Hz. The TECNO Spark 7P has to be the cheapest device on the market with a variable refresh rate. You can switch to 60Hz or set it at auto but I will recommend you leave it at 90Hz and just enjoy the smooth scrolling the display has to offer. Outdoor visibility is good. it is almost on par with smartphones that are 3-4 times more expensive and it and outperforms other smartphones. Consuming media on youtube is alright. Remember it is a 720P panel so keep your expectations low. one thing I noticed is when you increase the resolution to 1080P, the video looks better.

Performance

The TECNO Spark 7p comes with the mediatek Helio G70 processor. It is a 12nm processor that offers good performance. Combined with the Mali G52 GPU, the TECNO Spark 7P can play graphic demanding games like PUBG, Geshin Impact, FIFA, Asphalt 9 in low and medium settings. PUBG ran on HD graphics and high frame rate. The gameplay was good, the stereo speakers make the game come alive. Geshin Impact was able to run on the lowest settings and gameplay as alright. Call of Duty ran at medium graphics and high frame rate and the gameplay was perfect. I Made a dedicated gaming review video where I included an FPS Meter to show the frames per second. You can check that video after watching this one. TECNO Spark 7P doesn’t just do well in gaming. The Mediatek Helio G70 Processor gives it the ability to properly multitask. You can open an MS excel sheet, engage in a WhatsApp video call, and you can cast the display of the smartphone to a bigger screen. For a Spark Device to do all these, that’s huge. The TECNO Spark 7P comes with Hios version 7.6.0 running android 11 and it has a few tricks here and there that are interesting. I like the fact that I can change my voice when I am on a WhatsApp call thanks to social turbo. I like that the smartphone has an anti-theft feature where it sounds an alarm when the Micro usb Charger or earpiece is removed. I made a tips and tricks video on the TECNO Spark 7P if you want to know more about the other features of the TECNO Spark 7P. You can watch that video after this one.

Camera

For the front-facing camera, the TECNO Spark 7P comes with an 8MP front-facing camera and it is just there. Pictures look a bit soft but that is expected from an 8MP sensor. In good lighting conditions, they look ok. Portrait shots are just there as well and it does a good job in detecting the edge. Moving to the rear camera, the TECNO Spark 7p has 3 physical cameras but only one work and that’s the 16MP main shooter. The 2MP depth camera seems to come alive when you block the lens and you won’t be able to take portrait shots when the lens is blocked. The 3rd camera is an AI camera that does AI things, I am not sure what it does. Images from the 16MP camera look ok. It looks like tecno has improved their color science. Portrait shots are ok. Night shots are a bit blurred, I’ll recommend you use the flash led light if you want a clearer image.

Battery

Moving to the battery department, the TECNO Spark 7P comes with a 5,000 mAh battery which will last the entire day but that really depends on what you do on the smartphone. For average users, it will last the entire day. Shockingly the TECNO Spark 7p with its 5,000 mAH battery outperforms the Redmi 9T with a 6,000 mAh battery, shocker! If you want to see the battery drain test video where I compared these two smartphones, let me know in the comment section below and I’ll release that video. The Charging time isn’t great on the TECNO Spark 7p. To charge this device from 0-100% using the 10 watts charger took 3hrs 10min which is a long time.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the TECNO Spark 7P is definitely an improvement from the previous version. The Price of the smartphone is N60,900 for the 4GB/64GB version while the 4GB/128GB Version goes for N68,800. With the Mediatek Helio G70 Processor, Mali G52 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64/128GB of internal storage, this device packs a bit of punch at a very affordable price. If you are interested in the TECNO spark 7p, You can use the link in the description of this video to pre-order the smartphone. You get a Tecno wrist band worth N7,500 when you preorder and you stand a chance to win N1,000,000 through a raffle draw and other prizes weekly.

Phones / Samsung Galaxy A32 Vs Samsung Galaxy A52 by Valorreviews(m): 1:08pm On Apr 06, 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWC7BjetnKw

Hello guys, I compared the Samsung Galaxy A32 with the Samsung Galaxy A52. The Samsung Galaxy A52 is obviously the better smartphone here but how does it compare with the cheaper Samsung Galaxy A32.

Build Quality and External Features

Both smartphones have a plastic frame, plastic rear, plastic is boring but it is durable. The rear of the Samsung Galaxy A32 has a gloss finish to it while the Samsung Galaxy A52 has a matte finish and both look good. Between the two smartphones, I prefer the design of the A32, it reminds me of the Iphone 5c but I’ll be the first to admit that the Samsung Galaxy A52 does look more premium because of the matte finish and the rear looks a lot like the flagship Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra.

Both smartphones have corning gorilla 5 protection at the front and both are durable smartphones like we know but there is one area where the Samsung Galaxy A52 shows that it is the boss and that is when it is time to swim. The Samsung Galaxy A52 is an IP 67 Certified device and can be submerged in water of 1 meter for 30 mins. The Samsung Galaxy A32 isn’t water and dust resistant but it isn't afraid to get wet. Submerging this smartphone is like playing Russian Roulette, it might or might not survive.

So for the build quality, the Samsung Galaxy A52 wins.

How about the external features? Well, both smartphones come with a 3.5mm audio jack, a primary microphone, a USB type c port, the Samsung Galaxy A32 has a single speaker while the Samsung Galaxy A52 has stereo speakers and it sounds great. Putting both smartphones side by side, the Samsung Galaxy sounds louder, cleaner, and clearer.

Both smartphones have volume and power buttons on the right side, Both have a secondary microphone at the top, the Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with a dual nano sim card tray and a memory card slot while the Samsung Galaxy A52 comes with a hybrid nano sim card/ memory card tray. Both smartphones have to capacity to use a 1TB SD card and they both have an optical fingerprint scanner on their display.

In testing out the fingerprint scanner, I disabled the fingerprint animation to make unlocking fast on both smartphones and the fingerprint scanner of the Samsung Galaxy A52 is quicker. It is about 1 second faster than the Samsung Galaxy A32. I’ll like to add that both fingerprint scanners did a good job in unlocking and I got very few mismatches.

For the face unlock feature, I found the Samsung Galaxy A52 to be faster and more accurate.

Display

Moving to the display, this is where it gets a bit complicated to pick a winner. The Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with a 6.4-inch display with an infinity U display while the Samsung Galaxy A52 comes with a 6.5-inch display with an Infinity O display. Infinity U and O are just how the front camera cut-out looks like. Both displays are Super AMOLED displays with a resolution of 1080 X 2400 Pixels. Max brightness on both smartphones is 800 nits and most importantly both displays have a refresh rate of 90hz which is noticeable when you scroll. Watching content on both displays is just good, the colors are breathtaking. Both displays are identical and to pick a winner, I’ll have to nit-pick and here it goes. Because the Samsung Galaxy A52 has a slightly taller display and the camera cut-out looks modern, It wins the display comparison.

Performance

For performance, the difference between these two smartphones is large. The Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with the mediatek Helio G80 Processor, which is a 12nm processor while the Samsung Galaxy A52 comes with the Snapdragon 720G processor and which is an 8nm processor.

Scrolling is noticeably smoother on the Samsung Galaxy A52. Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy A32 stutters a bit, it hangs here and there when you scroll. It is hard to show on camera but it’s definitely there. Is it a deal-breaker? well no. should you worry about it, Not really, but it isn’t as smooth as the Samsung Galaxy A52 that is for sure.

Moving to benchmark results, the Samsung Galaxy A52 scores higher when I ran the Antutu benchmark test, it also scores high in geekbench, 3d mark, GFX Bench.

For multitasking, the Samsung Galaxy A52 has the superior Processor which translates to better photos, and videos which you will see soon. It also has a better GPU when it comes to gaming. Playing pubg, both smartphones ran the game well. Both smartphones played the game at HD graphics and a high frame rate. Where the Samsung Galaxy A52 comes on top is with its dual stereo speakers. It makes the game come alive. I can’t say the same for Samsung Galaxy A32 with the mono speaker that can be easily blocked.

Moving on to Geshin Impact, the Samsung Galaxy A52 opened the game faster. Both smartphones can play this game at the highest graphics settings and even at 60FPS but I find the gameplay on the Samsung Galaxy A52 to much smoother.

For real racing, both smartphones handled the game well, no complaints here.

Moving to Call of duty, both smartphones run the game well, Samsung Galaxy A32 played the game on medium graphics and high frame rate while the Samsung Galaxy A52 played the game at high graphics and very high frame rate. With the Adreno 618 on the Samsung Galaxy A52, you get a better gaming experience as you can see.

For games like asphalt 9 that are not too graphic intensive, both smartphones can play it on the highest graphics settings without any issues.

Moving to the operating system, both smartphones are running on Andriod 11 with Samsung one UI 3.1. For multitasking, both smartphones come with 6GB of RAM. I opened a bunch of apps and they performed identically.

So for the performance department, the Samsung Galaxy A52 comes on top.

Camera

Moving to the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with a 20MP front-facing camera while the Samsung Galaxy A52 has a 32MP front-facing camera, and this time around the smartphone with the higher Megapixel wins. Images on the Samsung Galaxy A52 are noticeably sharper. Bokeh shots look better on the Samsung Galaxy A52 as well. The Samsung Galaxy A52 has more features like the fun mode where you have Snapchat lenses and single take. Those features are missing on the Samsung Galaxy A32.
You can record slo-fies on the Samsung Galaxy A52 while the Samsung Galaxy A32 doesn’t have that feature.

Moving to the rear camera, both smartphones have a 64 MP wide camera, 5MP depth, and 5MP macro cameras. The Samsung A52 comes with a 12MP ultra-wide camera while the Samsung A32 comes with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Looking at wide shots, the Samsung A52 takes better pictures, moving to the main 64MP camera, both smartphones take 16MP shots and through pixel binning, they can produce 64MP images. The Pictures captured by the Samsung A52 are sharper, clearer, better than the Samsung A32. Night mode on the Samsung Galaxy A52. For videos, the Samsung A52 is the smartphone to pick as it has it can shoot in 4k using the front and rear cameras while the Samsung Galaxy A32 is limited to 1080p footage.

For the camera department, hands down the Samsung Galaxy A52 wins as it has more features, takes better pictures, and can shoot 4k videos using the front and rear cameras.

Battery

For the battery department, the Samsung Galaxy A32 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery while the Samsung A52 comes with a 4,500 mAh battery. Both smartphones come with a 15 watts fast charger. The Samsung Galaxy A52 is capable of charging at 25 watts charger but Samsung decided to include a 15 watts charger in the box (shame on you Samsung). That doesn’t sit well with me considering the price of the Samsung Galaxy A52. Using the 15 watts fast charger to charge both smartphones, it took the Samsung Galaxy A52 1hour 36mins to charge from 0-100% while it took the Samsung Galaxy A32 2 hours 17 mins. That is almost a 20 mins difference between these two smartphones.

For the battery drain test, I kept the display of both smartphones at 50% brightness and played youtube for 2 hours. I ran the Antutu Benchmark test continuously for 1 hour.
I opened Instagram reels and at the 6-hour mark, the Samsung Galaxy A52 battery dropped to 43% while the Samsung Galaxy A22 battery went down to 50%.

I ran 3d mark for an hour, I played youtube for 2 more hours and at the 9-hour mark, the Samsung Galaxy A52 battery dropped to 17% while the Samsung Galaxy A32 dropped to 26%.

After 10hours 27mins, the Samsung Galaxy A52 threw in the towel which is impressive and at 11hours 23mins, the Samsung Galaxy A32 battery got depleted, making it the winner of the battery drain test.

The extra 500mAh battery in the Samsung Galaxy A32 does give it an edge making it the winner of the battery drain test.

The Samsung Galaxy A52 charges faster but the Samsung Galaxy A32 lasts longer. Which smartphone wins the battery department? Let me know what you guys think in the comment section below.

So, guys, the overall winner of this comparison test is obviously the Samsung Galaxy A52. I hope you found this write-up to be useful enough to make a purchase decision.

Phones / Redmi 9T Unboxing And Review by Valorreviews(m): 9:05am On Feb 21, 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsW99yAIB6I

Hello over there, welcome to valor reviews. In this video, I will be reviewing the Redmi 9T. It is a super affordable smartphone with a 6,000 mAh battery. It has a 1080P display, snapdragon 662 Processor, 4GB. This smartphone on paper seems like a good budget smartphone to buy but like everything in life, it does have some shortcomings. Compromises were made to keep the price of this smartphone low and in this video, I am going to let you know the good, the bad, and the ugly aspects of the Redmi 9t so dont click off or skip this video.

Unboxing

Starting with the Unboxing experience, you get the smartphone and I love this blue color. It also comes in red, black and green. Moving to the front, Something you might not notice right away is the display of the Redmi 9t has a film screen protector already installed on it. Back to the box that keeps trolling Huawei, you will find a 22.5 watts fast charger, a USB type c cable, a TPU Case, sim removal tool, and manuals we dont need or read. The Redmi 9t is a bit slippy and I will recommend you use the TPU case as it gives a bit of grip. It is a perfect fit and should protect this smartphone from occasional drops.

Build Quality & External Features

The redmi 9t is a strong, light smartphone. For a smartphone packing a huge 6,000 mAh battery, it doesn’t feel heavy. The rear and frame, are made from plastic, making this smartphone durable. The front is protected with Corning gorilla 3 which helps a bit with preventing your screen from being scratched. Over-all, it is a good-looking smartphone even with the giant redmi branding at the rear. it is also durable but Is it water-resistant, well no.
But it can chill in water for a bit and survive so you dont have to worry too much if your smartphone drops in a bowl of water. For the external features, Redmi 9t comes with a dual nano sim card tray and a memory card slot. At the top is where you will find the noise-canceling mic, a 3.5mm audio jack, it has dual speakers and this is one of the speakers, it also comes with an IR blaster to control appliances like your TV or Air conditioner.
The right side is where you will find the volume and the power buttons. The power button doubles as the fingerprint scanner and it unlocks the smartphone at a fair speed. Moving to the bottom, you will find the mic, the USB type C port, and the 2nd speaker.
Speaking about the dual stereo speakers, they are decent. Not as loud as the Poco X3 NFC but it isn’t far off and they sound really good, no complaints here.

Display

Remember I said the Redmi 9t has some shortcomings, well the display is one of them. The Display is a 6.53 inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080 X 2340 pixels. With 400nits of brightness, It isn’t a bright display. Outdoor visibility under direct sunlight isn’t that great, it is useable but you would struggle. Brightness isn’t the only issue with this display, the display is not as contrasty, vibrant, or as bright as the redmi note 9s. This Display reminds me of the Redmi 9 and if you have seen the review of that smartphone, you’ll know a lot of reviewers didn’t like the display. With other brands using a 720P display around the price point of the redmi 9t, you still have to give it to Xiaomi. It might not be the best IPS LCD but it is better than most 720P IPS LCD get from brands like hmm …...

Performance

Moving on to performance, the Redmi 9t comes with the snapdragon 662 chipset, it is an 11nm processor and the speed and responsiveness of this smartphone are good for a budget smartphone. Scrolling within the user interface is fluid. I’ll recommend you activate developer mode and reduce animation to 0.5X for snappier transitions. Antutu benchmark score for this device is 179k which isn’t bad. I will be comparing this smartphone with the TECNO Pova which has a Mediatek Helio G80 and probably the Xiaomi MiA3 with the Snapdragon 665 Processor. Let me know in the comment section which comparison you want to see first. For the Geek bench test, it got a single-core score of 317 and a multi-core score of 1,241.

Multi-tasking with this smartphone is decent as it comes with 4GB of RAM. Xiaomi is known for being aggressive with RAM management, it closes apps in the background to save a bit of battery and to improve performance. Redmi 9t runs on android 10 with miui 12.0.4. It has been stable and reliable. I used it as my daily driver and I didn’t have any issue.

For games, playing titles like PUBG was ok thanks to the Adreno 610 GPU. it ran the game at balanced graphics and medium frame rate. The gameplay was ok not as fluid as I would have liked it but it is still playable. For the best gaming experience on PUBG, I would recommend you put the graphics settings at smooth graphics and a high frame rate. Call of duty played well, Redmi 9t ran the game at the highest settings, and gameplay was as smooth as butter. After gaming for a bit, the smartphone did a little bit warm around the camera area but overall the Redmi 9T is a decent budget smartphone you can game on. Also, the dual stereo speakers are just amazing when it comes to gaming. It makes gaming more immersive.

Cameras

This is another area where the Redmi 9t falls short. The front-facing camera is an 8MP F2.1 sensor and in good lighting conditions, it takes very good pictures. I was facing the sun when I took this picture but in average lighting conditions, well, I am not a fan of the quality of the pictures it produces. Bokeh shots look very good in good lighting conditions and ok in medium lighting conditions. You can also adjust the amount of blur you want before you snap a picture, sadly it doesn’t give you a preview of how the blur would look like. The front camera doesn’t have a dedicated flash led, it uses the display as the light source and it captures ok night phones.

The rear cameras, actually capture good images. I am really pleased with the 48MP rear camera. Bokeh shots look good, 2MP macro camera is ok considering the price of this device. 8MP ultra wife camera is ok.

BATTERY

The Redmi 9t comes with a 6,000 mAh battery and it is capable of doing 18 watts fast charging although it comes with a 22 watts fast charger in the box. Charging this device from 0-100% took 3 hours 7mins.

On a full charge, you should expect to get around 2-3days of usage. Good luck trying to kill this smartphone in one day. I will be doing a battery drain test when I compare the Redmi 9t with the TECNO Pova so subscribe to this channel and turn on all notifications if you dont want to miss that video.

Conclusion

To wrap this review up, Redmi 9T goes for N76,700 or $174 for the 128GB internal storage option and N71,200 or $163 for the 64GB internal storage option. if you are going to buy this smartphone you should go for the larger storage option.

This smartphone is durable, the display isn’t as contrasty or as vibrant as other IPS LCDs, Performance is ok but I suspect you get better performance with a smartphone with a mediatek Helio G80 processor I will be doing a comparison to verify so subscribe if you dont want to miss out on that video.

The cameras are ok in good lighting conditions and the battery is the main selling point of this smartphone. Do I recommend you buy this smartphone, yes? but if you can afford the Redmi note 9s please do.

Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

Phones / Poco X3 Vs Redmi Note 9s: Build Quality, Display, Performance, Battery & Camera by Valorreviews(m): 2:39am On Jan 27, 2021
Hello,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtP8Wm2rpV4

I compared the Poco X3 NFC with the Redmi Note 9s and I was shocked to see that there isn't much that differentiate the two smartphones.
The Redmi Note 9s come with 6GB RAM, 128GB Internal storage and the current price of this smartphone is N106,000 or $243. Moving over to the Challenger, Poco X3 NFC comes with 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and brand new, the present cost of this smartphone is N130,000 or $298 right here in Nigeria. There is a price difference of N24,000 or $55 between these two smartphones. So keep that in mind as we go along with the comparison.

UNBOXING

In the box of the Poco X3 NFC, you get a Clear TPU case that gets dirty over time. I Prefer the smoked, tinted TPU case that the Redmi note 9s comes with. So that’s a plus for the Redmi Note 9s.

Charging Time

Moving on to the charging brick, the Poco X3 Nfc redeem itself as it comes with a 33 watts fast charger while the Redmi note 9s comes with a 22.5 watts fast charger.
The Redmi note 9s is capable of doing a maximum of 18 watts fast charging so it can’t fully utilize the 22.5 watts fast charger that it comes it. The smartphone can only grab 18 watts from the charger. Poco X3 Nfc on the other hand can use the entire 33 watts making charging fast. How fast? Well,
after 15 mins of charging Poco X3 NFC, the battery level got to 37% while the Redmi note 9s battery is at 18%
At the 30mins mark, Poco X3 Nfc Battery is at 68% while the Redmi note 9s battery is at 37%
45mins down the line, Poco X3 NFC is at 90% while the Redmi note 9s battery is at 54%. At this point, with the Poco X3 Nfc at 90% you can go about your date and not worry about charging your smartphone as it would last the entire day. I can’t say the same for the Redmi note 9s at 54%.
At the 1hour mark, Poco X3 Nfc is at 99% and the Redmi note 9s is at 72%.
1hour and 5mins, poco X3 Nfc is fully charged while the Redmi note 9s is at 78%. It took the Redmi note 9s 1hour 57mins to get to 100%, which is almost double the time it took to get the poco X3 Nfc to be fully charged. This is why you need fast charging in your life.

Build Quality

For the build quality, the front of both smartphones is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Moving to the rear, the Poco X3 NFC has a plastic rear while the redmi note 9s rear is made from glass. The glass is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and my take is why glass? I mean it looks good, looks premium but it isn’t serving any purpose. The smartphone doesn’t support wireless charging so why does it have a glass rear and when it drops, it will most likely crack because glass is glass and glass will break no matter how hard it is.

I understand why Xiaomi used glass on this smartphone and that is to make it look premium like flagship devices but having glass at the rear of a budget smartphone isn’t a good idea and that is why the Poco X3 NFC is the more durable smartphone between these two.

For the external features, both smartphones have an IR Blaster which I love and still use. Both smartphones have a noise-canceling microphone at the top, both have a USB type C port, a 3.5mm earphone jack, dual sim-tray, and a memory card slot.

What the Poco X3 NFC has that the Redmi note 9s doesn’t is the Dual stereo speakers and I was expecting the dual speakers of the Poco X3 NFC to louder compared to the single speaker on the Redmi note 9s but that’s not the case. They sound almost identical to my ears.

Another thing I like is the vibrations you feel when you increase the volume on the Poco X3 NFC. I love how the speakers vibrate the rear, making what you are watching, listening to come alive. You do get a bit of that vibration on the Redmi note 9s when you hold the frame of the smartphone but it is nothing compared to the Poco X3 NFC. Some people like it, some don’t. Some YouTubers associate the vibration with poor build quality but that’s nonsense if you ask me. The Xiaomi Mi 11 has this feature so it isn’t a design flaw, it is intentional.
So for the Build quality and external features, Poco X3 NFC is the winner.

Display

The display on both smartphones is good. They both come with a 6.67 inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080P X 2400 Pixels. They both support HDR10 and both are bright at 450 nits. The Poco X3 NFC does have a bit of magenta to it and I love the way it looks. I would pick the display of the Poco X3 NFC as the winner as it looks slightly and I mean slightly better but I was able to adjust the color temperature on the Redmi note 9s and now looks exactly like the POCO X3 NFC.

Now where the display on the Poco X3 NFC surmounts the Redmi note 9s is in the refresh rate. You can switch between 60Hz or 120Hz.

You can see the difference but is it a big deal? No, not to me. but It is cool the POCO X3 NFC has that feature. Also, a minor observation is the camera punch hole on the Poco X3 Nfc is smaller compared to the Redmi note 9s. So for the display, Poco X3 NFC wins.

Performance

How does the Snapdragon 720G Processor on the Redmi note 9s compare with the Snapdragon 732G Processor on the Poco X3 NFC? Well, both processors are gaming chips with an 8nm fabrication processor so they are both fast.

Starting up with antutu benchmark test this is the result I got when I ran it. Poco X3 has a higher number and for geekbench is the score of both smartphones. Redmi note 9s having higher single and multi-core scores.

Both smartphones have 6GB of Ram and as you can see from the numbers, Poco X3 Nfc wins the antutu benchmark score while Redmi note 9s wins the Geek bench test.

Let’s start off with launching Pubg and see which smartphone comes out on top. I would like to point out that launching apps at the same time doesn’t really show which smartphone is faster at least not all the time. I can launch pubg 10 times and we would have different winners. So this doesn’t show which processor is faster.

Downscaling a 4k clip to 1080P using Inshot on both smartphones, the result is almost the same. Poco X3 won but the difference was only 3 seconds.

So for performance, the Snapdragon 732G processor is faster but slightly and I mean slightly faster.

Battery

Poco X3 NFC has a 5,160 mAh battery while the Redmi note 9s comes with a 5,020 mAh battery. There is a difference of 140mAh between these two smartphones.

With the Poco X3 NFC on 60Hz refresh rate, you get the same screen on time with the redmi note 9s but when you set the screen at 120Hz refresh rate, the battery drains faster.

For me, I leave the refresh rate at 60Hz because I am a power user and I dont fancy carrying a charger around. So for the battery department, Poco X3 Nfc wins as it has a slightly bigger battery and it comes with a 33 watts fast charger.

Camera

For the front-facing camera, Poco X3 NFC comes with a 16MP F2.2 camera while the Redmi note 9s comes with a 16MP F2.5 lens. Poco X3 NFC Front camera has more Megapixels and should be the clear winner right? Well, yes but the difference isn’t much. To my eyes, skin tone looks just a little bit better on the Poco X3 NFC but honestly not by much. Portrait pictures look very good on both smartphones. Poco 3X NFC pictures look better but not by much to my eyes.

For the rear cameras, Poco X3 NFC comes with a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth camera. Switching to the Redmi Note 9s, it comes with a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera.

For the main camera, I honestly can’t see a major difference between the 48MP sensor on the Redmi note 9s and the 64MP sensor on the Poco X3 NFC. Photo quality coming out from both smartphones are impressive. For the ultra-wide camera, Poco X3 NFC pictures look better. Macro shots look better on the Redmi note 9s and for portrait shots, they look identical to me. Poco X3 Nfc takes better pictures at night.

For the camera comparison, I’ll give it to the Poco X3 Nfc for the slightly and I mean slightly better front-facing camera and the rear camera takes better photos at night. Macro shots are better on the Redmi note 9s but how many of us take macro shots? So the winner of the camera comparison is the Poco X3 Nfc.

Conclusion

The Poco X3 Nfc is the better smartphone between these two. It charges faster, It has a better build quality with the plastic rear, It has dual speakers, It has a slighter better display with a higher refresh rate, It has a slightly bigger battery and a slightly better camera.

Phones / Infinix Note7 Vs Samsung A31: Which One Would You Pick? by Valorreviews(m): 8:49pm On Jun 24, 2020
Hello guys,

The new kid on the block, the Samsung A31 is taking on the G.O.A.T from Infinix, the Infinix note7 and In this post, I will be comparing the two phones to show you which smartphone is the right one for you. Let’s get started.

Now for the price, the Samsung A31 cost N102,000 while the infinix note 7 costs N78,000. There is a price difference of N24,000.

For the build quality, both smartphones are made from plastic. Samsung likes to call theirs glastic. The Samsung A31 on the other hand has glass at the front while the infinix note7 has corning gorilla 3 at the front. For the build quality between the two phones, it's a tie.

Now, Looking at the bottom of both phones, the Samsung A31 comes with a USB type C port while the Infinix Note 7 is still rocking something your grandparents will recognize, the micro USB port.

On the flip side, the Infinix Note 7 has stereo speakers while the Samsung A31 has a mono speaker and comparing the sound coming out of the two devices, the infinix note 7 trump's the Samsung A31.

Both smartphones have dual sim trays and a memory card slot. The Samsung A31 has dual mics which helps in improving the audio while recording a video and noise-canceling while the Infinix just has one mic.

So in terms of features like the USB type C port and dual mics, the Samsung A31 wins although the Infinix Note 7 has stereo speakers, I'll take a USB type C port and dual microphones over the dual speakers of the Infinix note 7. I can always use headphones and that solves that problem.

Moving to the display, the Samsung A31 comes with a 6.4inch 1080P super AMOLED display while the Infinix Note 7 comes with a 6.95inch 720P IPS LCD Panel that is beautiful and quality-wise, the display on the Samsung A31 is obviously the better one. It has deeper blacks, more contrast, colors just pop on the Samsung display. it isn't like the infinix note 7 display is bad, not at all. It is Beautiful. it's just that the Samsung A31 display is superior.

let’s do a quick recap before we proceed to performance. For the build quality, its a tie, for features like the USB type C and noise-canceling mic, the Samsung A31 wins, for display, the Samsung A31 wins.
but for performance, this is where the infinix note 7 maltreats the Samsung A31 and its senior brother, the Samsung A51.

Let’s start off with the fingerprint scanners. The Samsung A31 comes with an optical fingerprint scanner on the display while the Infinix Note 7 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as the power button. The infinix note 7 manhandles the Samsung A31 in this area, it's not even funny. Look, I can unlock the Note 7 and launch Instagram before the Samsung A31 even unlocks. Crazy!!!!
Both smartphones have the face unlock feature and no surprise here, the Samsung A31 is slow to unlock.

The Samsung Samsung A31 comes with a mediatek Helio P65 chipset while the Infinix Note 7 comes with the Mediatek Helio G70 chipset. Running the antutu Benchmark test, the Infinix Note 7 is the faster device and Running the Geek bench test, the result it the same, Infinix Note 7 wins.

Launching apps, the Infinix Note 7 wins. So when it comes to performance, hey, infinix note 7 is not your mate. (throw the phone away)..ah! We haven’t finished the comparison ohh.

Moving on to the camera department, this one area I am curious to know which smartphone wins. The Samsung A31 comes with a 20MP front-facing camera while the Infinix Note 7 comes with a 16MP camera. Looking at the pictures I can’t seem to pick a winner. Both smartphones did a good job of capturing the image and honestly, I can’t seem to pick a winner. Images captured on the Infinix Note 7 are a bit warm while the Samsung A31 is a bit on the cool side. Which device takes the better picture? I can’t really make up my mind.

Moving to the rear cameras, In the Dark, Infinix note 7 trumps the Samsung A31. There is no night mood on the Samsung. The Samsung A31 has a wide-angle lens while the infinix note 7 doesn’t have one. Using the main camera sensor on both smartphones, I honestly can’t say one is better than the other. However, the infinix note 7 using the 48MP camera mode retains more details.

For the cameras, the Samsung A31 has a versatile camera system, it has the wide-angle lens that some of us love but it lacks image stabilization that the Infinix Note 7 has when you are recording a video. pictures and videos captured on both smartphones are almost identical. I’ll say its a draw for me.

For the battery, both smartphones come with a 5,000 mAh battery which is impressive. The infinix note 7 comes with an 18watts fast charger while the Samsung A31 comes with a 15 watts fast charger.

Now after looking at the price, the build quality, the display, the performance, the cameras, and the battery on both smartphones, it’s hard to pick a winner. You can’t ignore the price and speed of the Infinix Note 7 and you can’t ignore the display of the Samsung A31. Which one is the winner? You guys decide. Let me know your pick in the comments section.

Thank you for reading this post. You can watch my comparison video in the link below.

Phones / Redmi Note 9s Vs Infinix Note 7: We Have A New Budget King!!! by Valorreviews(m): 8:29pm On Jun 24, 2020
Hello guys,

After waiting for donkey years, the redmi note 9s is finally available in Nigeria.

For the price at the time of publishing this post, You can buy the redmi note 9s for N88,200 for the 4gb RAM, 64GB internal Storage while the infinix note 7 is priced at N76,000 for the same spec. There's a price difference of N12,200 between the two smartphones which isn’t a lot so which smartphone should you go for?

Well, Starting off with the build quality, the redmi note 9s comes with Corning gorilla 5 at the front and back. The infinix note 7 on the other hand comes with Corning gorilla glass 3 at the front and plastic at the rear. So in a drop, the rear of the infinix will only scratch while the redmi note 9s will shatter. Always put on a case to avoid stories that touch the heart.

Looking at both smartphones, they look flashy at the rear but looking at the front, the redmi note 9s has that modern 2020 look with the hole punch for the front camera at the top center position of the display. The front of the infinix note 7 doesn't look bad either but I suspect more people will pick the look of the redmi note 9s over the infinix note 7.

On the weighing scale, the redmi note 9s is the heavier device. For me, the Infinix Note 7 has the perfect weight.

For the external features, the redmi note 9s comes with a USB type c port, 3.5mm audio jack, dual microphones, a mono speaker, and an IR blaster. The infinix note 7 on the other hand comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, a micro USB port, a mic, and stereo speakers. Both phones come with dual SIM tray, a memory card slot, and power buttons that double as the fingerprint scanner. For the external features, the redmi note 9s wins.

Moving to the display, the redmi note 9s comes with a 6.6 inch 1080P IPS LCD panel while the infinix note 7 comes with a 6.95 inch 720p IPS LCD panel and Putting them side by side, the redmi note 9s display is brighter and sharper but Size-wise, the infinix note 7 has the bigger display. So yes, the redmi note 9s has the better display but it isn’t perfect. The backlighting around the camera is not even as you can see and the infinix note 7 doesn’t have that issue.

Moving on to performance, the infinix note 7 has the faster fingerprint scanner. Yes!!!!!. Finally….but that's because the note 9s has some animation thing going on. But it's still a win for the infinix note 7 nevertheless. Both smartphones have the face unlock feature and they are really fast. I found the face unlock on the infinix note 7 to be more reliable than the redmi note 9s.

Antutu benchmark test shows that the redmi note 9s is really fast. Same with geek bench test.
Launching application, the Snapdragon 720G processor leaves the mediatek helio G70 processor in the dust. The redmi note 9s is blazing fast for its price range! It comes with a Snapdragon 720G processor, which is an 8nm processor, and as you can see it is much faster than the mediatek helio G70, which is a 12nm processor.
Playing pubg on both smartphones is fluid. The highest graphics settings on both smartphones is HD graphics and high frame rate.

Let's do a recap before we move on, for build quality, the note 9s wins, for features the note 9s wins, for display the note 9s wins, for performance the note 9s wins...sigh… what about the cameras.

For the front camera, both smartphones come with a 16MP camera and looking at the images captured, I’ll give it to the redmi note 9s. Portrait shot on the redmi note 9s is also better.

For the main camera sensor at the rear, both smartphones come with a 48MP main camera and they both take good pictures. In the dark, the infinix note 7 takes the better picture but the redmi note 9s has the more versatile camera system as it has a wide-angle camera. So for the camera, the redmi note 9s wins.

Moving on to the battery, the redmi note 9s comes with a 5,020mAh battery while the infinix note 7 comes with a 5,000mAh battery. Both phones come with 18 watts fast charging capabilities. Xiaomi feeling generous included a 22 watts fast charger with the redmi note 9s while you get an 18 watts fast charger with the infinix note 7. For the batteries, I'll say it's a draw but its tilting more to the side of the redmi note 9s.

So, ladies and gentlemen, we have a new budget champion. The redmi note 9s priced at N88,200 is actually too good to be true. No SmartPhone released in the year 2020 in the budget category can match it right now but it has it flaws which I will be covering in my full review. For infinix note 7 owners, don't be sad. The note 7 is still a very good device. In my opinion, its the best device offered by infinix and the 2nd best budget smartphone that came out in the year 2020 in Nigeria.

So that’s it guys, Thank you for taking the time to read this post. You can watch the comparison video with the youtube link.

Phones / Samsung A31 Vs Samsung A51: The Samsung A31 Makes Sense!!! by Valorreviews(m): 1:31pm On Jun 08, 2020
Hello guys,

The Samsung A31, it's the latest A-series smartphone in town, I compared it to the Samsung A51 and the results might shock you.

For the Price: the Samsung A31 is the cheaper device. It cost N102,000 while the Samsung A51 cost N128,000. There is a difference of N26,000 between these two smartphones and the reason is the Samsung A51 has better cameras, That's it. Before i compare the cameras, let's talk about the build quality.

Build quality:
Both phones have plastic or glastic at the rear but at the front, the Samsung A51 has corning gorilla 3 for a bit of protection while the Samsung A31 has glass at the front. But Don't let that deceive you, if both phones fall face down without a screen protector, wahala go dey oh. The button placement on both phones are virtually the same here, you have the volume and power button on the right side, they both have a noise-canceling mic at the top, dual sim tray and memory card slot on the left side, a 3.5mm audio jack, a micro USB type c port, a mic, and a mono speaker at the bottom. The camera arrangement is identical with the exception of the LED flashlight. At the front, if you haven’t noticed it already, the Samsung A31 has a notch that is hiding the 20MP front-facing camera and putting it next to the dot display of the Samsung A51, it kinda looks old fashion. Moving down south, The Samsung A31 has a slightly larger bezel but that shouldn’t put you off, I mean it’s not that big.

For build quality, they are basically the same, you can even use the same case for both phones. The only difference is the Samsung A51 has corning gorilla glass 3 at the front and that's it.

The Display
For the display, I am happy to let you know that you get virtually the same display on both phones. They both come with a Super AMOLED 1080p panel and quality-wise, they are indistinguishable. The only difference here is the Samsung A51 is slightly bigger, it comes with a 6.5-inch display while the Samsung A31 comes with a 6.4inch display. The display on the two phones makes sense. Both smartphones have the optical fingerprint scanners on the display and they unlock almost the same time. So in the display department, there's nothing to separate these two smartphones.

Performance.
What about the performance, well this is where things get a little bit confusing. The Samsung A31 comes with a mediatek helio P65 chipset while the Samsung A51 comes with an Exynos 9611 chipset. Running the antutu benchmark, the Samsung A51 is the faster device but when I ran the geek bench test, the A31 performs better than the Samsung A51. I checked Versus.com and to them, the Mediatek Helio P65 chipset is the better chipset.

let’s launch some apps and see which is faster. Starting off with PubG, the Samsung A31 loads it faster. I tried out subway surfers and the result is the same, The Samsung A31 is faster. The difference in performance isn’t much but I honestly thought the Samsung A51 would be much faster than the Samsung A31. Looks like the Samsung A31 can hold its ground against its bigger brother. Playing PUbg on the A31 isn’t bad, the highest graphics settings is HD and frame rate at High. the Samsung A51 isn’t bad either but if I am to pick a phone to play games on, I’ll take something else.

Moving on to the cameras, the Samsung A31 comes with a 20MP front-facing camera while the Samsung A51 comes with a 32MP front-facing camera. The Samsung A51 has a better front-facing camera as it captures more details. For portrait mode, both take good pictures but where the Samsung A51 flexes on the A31 is in the video mode. The Samsung A51 front camera can record in 4k while the Samsung A31 is limited to 1080p.

For the rear, both smartphones have a 48MP main camera and honestly, pictures taken with the main sensor look identical to me.
Unfortunately, the Samsung A31 doesn’t have night mode, the A51 takes the cake here.
Moving to the wide-angle lens, the Samsung A51 has a 12MP wide-angle camera while the Samsung A31 has an 8MP wide-angle camera. At first glance, they look identical but when you zoom in, the 12MP wide camera captures more details. Both smartphones come with a 5mp depth and 5mp macro sensor. Again, in the video mode, the Samsung A51 outperforms the A31. A51 can record in 4k while the A31 is stuck on 1080P. A51 also has video stabilization and the A31 doesn’t.

The Samsung A51 wins in the camera department but it loses in the next comparison and that’s the battery department.
The Samsung A31 comes with a 5,000mah battery while the Samsung A51 comes with a 4,000 mah battery. Both smartphones are capable of fast charging, they both come with a 15watts fast charger. For the Battery department, the Samsung A31 wins as it has the bigger battery.

Now to round things up, with the Samsung A51, you get a slightly, and I mean slightly bigger display, better cameras, and a modern look.

On the other hand, with the Samsung A31, you get the same gorgeous display just like what you have on the Samsung A51, you get a bigger battery, same fast charging, same performance, same build quality at a more affordable price. What you miss out on are good cameras.

If you don’t care about the camera, it’s not like they take bad pictures to begin with and you want to save some money, the Samsung A31 is the device to go for. It matches the Samsung A51 in terms of performance, build quality, display, and beats it in battery life.

Phones / Infinix Note7 Vs Samsung A51: The Infinix Note7 Is FASTER!!!! by Valorreviews(m): 3:38pm On May 28, 2020
Hello guys,

Today is a sad day. I can not believe the infinix note 7 totally and I mean totally outperformed the Samsung A51, which happens to be the more expensive smartphone.

In today’s video, I will be comparing the all-new Infinix Note 7 with the phone I have been using as my daily driver, the Samsung A51. let’s see which smartphone is best for you.

First things first, the Price. The Infinix Note 7 cost N78,000 for the 4GB Ram, 64GB internal storage version while the Samsung A51 cost N128,000 for the 4GB ram, 128GB internal storage version. That’s a N50,000 price difference.

50k! Logically, the much more expensive smartphone should outperform the cheaper device in all areas but that’s not the case here.

Now, Starting off with the fingerprint scanner, the infinix note 7 is light years faster than the Samsung A51. The power button on the infinix note 7 doubles as the fingerprint scanner while the Samsung A51 has an optical in-display fingerprint reader. The tech deployed to unlock both phones is different but aside that the Samsung A51 in-display scanner compared to other optical scanners out there is slow and works 6/10 times. For the Infinix note7 fingerprint scanner, it works 9/10 times and it is much faster. The infinix note7 has the fastest fingerprint scanner I have used.

Thank Goodness, the fingerprint scanner isn’t the only way to unlock a smartphone. Both devices have the face unlock feature that uses the front camera to unlock the phone. The Samsung A51 is fast, but compared with the much cheaper infinix note 7, the note 7 is simply faster with no animation to slow it down.

Now, let’s move on to performance. For the techies out there, The Infinix Note 7 comes with the Mediatek Helio G70 chipset while the Samsung A51 comes with the Exynos 9611 chipset. Running Antutu Benchmark and geekbench, the Infinix Note 7 comes ahead. The Mediatek Helio G70 is noticeably faster than the Exynos 9611 chipset found on the Samsung A51.

launching applications that we use daily, the story is the same, the Infinix Note 7 is faster.

Launching Free fire, which is a game I recommend you should try out, the Infinix Note 7 is faster than the Samsung A51.

Ok, the infinix note 7 is much faster but let’s see how well it can play games. For Pubg, the Samsung A51 can go as high as HDR graphics and ultra frame rate which is impressive while the Infinix note 7 does HD graphics and High frame rate but the actual gameplay on the Samsung A51 on the highest graphics settings doesn’t give you a smooth gaming experience. Putting the graphics settings of the Samsung A51 on HD graphics and high frame rate just like what we have on the infinix note 7 and comparing the gameplay, the Infinix Note 7 is noticeably smoother.

A feature the Infinix note 7 has that the Samsung A51 doesn't are dual stereo speakers. The stereo speakers are loud, much louder than the mono speaker found on the Samsung A51.

For the Cameras, the Samsung A51 comes with a 32MP front-facing camera while the Infinix Note 7 comes with a 16MP front-facing camera. The A51 captures more details and clearly takes the better picture but the Infinix note 7 isn't bad considering the price of the device. Remember there is a N50,000 price difference between the two phones.

For the rear camera, this is where things get interesting. The Infinix Note 7 captures more details thanks to the 48MP camera it is packing. The Samsung A51 captures good pictures but when you zoom into the image, it isn't as detailed as the image captured on the infinix note7. The Samsung A51 comes with a wide-angle camera that the infinix note7 lacks.

For the battery life, the Infinix Note 7 comes on top with a 5,000 mAh battery while the Samsung A51 comes with a 4,000 mAh battery. Both phones come with fast charging capabilities but the Infinix note 7 is capable of 18watts fast charging while the Samsung A51 charging speed is limited to 15 watts.

Having used the Infinix note 7 for a while now, I am totally convinced that it is a superb smartphone. it is the best budget phone that has been released this year for under N100,000. Comparing the Infinix note 7 that cost N78,000 with the Samsung A51 that cost N129,000 just shows how good this phone is. The Samsung A51 is a decent smartphone. it wins in display and camera department but other than that, the Infinix Note 7 comes on top in performance, battery life, bigger display, and stereo sound.

I don't know about you guys but if it was my money, I will go for the infinix note7.

You are right. It's a 16MP sensor that take 4 images, merge them into one to produce a 64MP picture. The sensor is the Sony Imx 686, Same sensor in the Xiaomi K30 if I recall correctly.

The Display is a 6.5 inches IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080 X 2340 Pixels. It has 390 pixels per inch, it’s a sharp display and it has small bezels with a screen to body ratio is 84%. The striking thing about the display is the size. At 6.6inch, this display is big and with it small bezels, no notch or anything to distract your vision, consuming media in full-screen mode is immersive. This is a perfect smartphone if you are the type that prefers to have a big display to consume media, play games, browse and chat.

Performance
For performance, thanks to the MediaTek helio P35 chipset, you can definitely game on this device. The processor is a 12nm chipset, it’s the same chip you get from last year’s Phantom 9 and it’s fast. You get 6GB of ram which is impressive and with that, you can load up all your apps in the background, switch between your favorite apps and pick up from where you stopped without it reloading.

Cameras
At the front, you have a 32mp pop-up camera. The front camera doesn’t have a dedicated flash instead it uses the display as its flash. Moving to the rear, the camon 15 premier has 64MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP depth camera, and a qvga sensor.

RAM and Storage
The phone comes with 6GB of Ram and 128GB of onboard storage.

Battery
The camon 15 premier is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.

Phones / Samsung S20 Ultra - Best Smartphone I Have Ever Used! by Valorreviews(m): 8:42pm On Mar 06, 2020
Hello guys,

Samsung recently released the Samsun S20 Ultra and this is hands down the best smartphone I have ever used. The Samsung S20 Ultra comes with a 6.9-inch dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 X 3200 Pixels. The Display is a 120Hz display, you are stuck on 1080P resolution when you enable the 120Hz high frame rate. The difference between a 60hz and a 120hz display is definitely noticeable. You get ultra-smooth scrolling on the 120hz display. The Display on the Samsung S20 Ultra is the best display I have ever seen. The combination of the 6.9" display size, the dynamic AMOLED display, and the 120hz refresh rate make looking and using the display a pleasure.

In the Ram department, the Samsung S20 Ultra comes with 12GB of Ram and 128GB of onboard storage. I opened all the apps installed on the smartphone which numbered up to 30 and I still had 2GB of RAM left. The Samsung S20 Ultra is a performance beast. It comes with a snapdragon 865 chipset or an Exynos 990 chipset. Both Processors are 7nm chipset and they are stupid fast!

I played PUBG at the highest settings, Call of Duty, asphalt 9 and the Samsung S20 Ultra ran them smoothly and the phone did not heat up.

Now, moving to the cameras, the Samsung S20 Ultra has a 40MP front-facing camera that records in 4k. At the rear, The Samsung S20 Ultra is packing a quad-camera setup, it has a 108MP main camera, a 48MP telephoto zoom camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 0.3MP time of flight camera. The Samsung S20 Ultra can record in 8K. This is the first smartphone that I know of that can do that.

Powering the Samsung S20 ultra is a 5,000mAh battery and it takes 1hr to charge this device from 0-100% using the standard fast charger in the box.

The only con of the Samsung S20 ultra is the price. Starting at N420,000, this device is expensive but it is the best smartphone out right now.

Consuming media content on this device is mind-blowing! The 32MP front camera punch-hole doesn't get in your way when consuming media or playing games and you will hardly notice its there. The Samsung A71 has the best display in its class period!

Phones / SAMSUNG A01 - The Cheapest Android 10 Smartphone At N33,800 by Valorreviews(m): 10:23am On Feb 21, 2020
Hello Guys,

Samsung recently released the Samsung A01 and it comes with Andriod 10 straight out of the box. Priced at N33,800, this has to be the most affordable smartphone from Samsung in recent times.

Now with the low price, you should expect some compromise. The Samsung A01 doesn't have a fingerprint scanner, what you get is the face unlock feature, the Pin, Pattern, and password feature to secure and protect the device. The phone also comes with 2GB of RAM and a 3,000Mah battery.
Now, these specs might seem undesirable but remember this smartphone is priced at N33,800. To keep the price down, the Samsung A01 chassis is made from plastic with a matte finish. it doesn't look bad and it seems durable.

Switching to the Display, the Samsung A01 comes with a 5.7'' TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 720P. The display isn't bad considering the price of the device.

Under the hood, the Samsung A01 comes with a SnapDragon 439 chipset with 2GB of RAM. You should expect much in terms of multi-tasking and playing demanding games on this device, it seemly can't do that. But you can play 2D games, browse the web, open WhatsApp and Instagram.

For the cameras, the Samsung A01 comes with 3 cameras. A 5MP front-facing camera, a 13MP main camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the price of the device, they capture decent pictures that are social media ready, just don't zoom in after taking a picture.

The Samsung A01 is an affordable device and will be suitable for people who are light phone users, first-time smartphone users, and elder folks that don't care about the latest and greatest devices. For N33,800 with android 10, this is an amazing smartphone.

Here is my initial impression video of the Samsung A01, please watch and subscribe to my youtube channel. let me know what you think about the Samsung A01.
