Muhammadson2020:
how much have u made so far since you started driving Uber.
.
Since you asked nicely I'll be truthful. Just like any other business it wasn't easy but my interest in driving and expanding to a proper travel and tour logistics biz kept me going cos I lost HP agreements along the way due to personal family issues and bills as well and then I took my last HP a Nigerian used 05 camry for 2m and I finished paying after Covid19 saga did so many travel and tour with the car, sold it and since have bought and sold corolla car twice and I'm still driving my personal banktype car right now even though i intend to change to muscle asap cos of my travel and tour clients. So baba, I know 2 guys that collected HP in ibadan bolt and when it didn't work well for them dey came to Lagos and av since finished paying for a Honda City 010 and a corolla 06, I know another 2 men that collected corolla 05 and 09 2years ago at my park on Lagos island at 2m Nigerian used and 3m toks respectively and both just finished the payment last month and this month, so baba may be you should come around me make i introduce you to this people wey i dey talk make you confirm say no be zobo.
Nigeria is not a country one can just back down or give up, fine if you have other means you can always do 2 to 3 biz, bobody said you must do one business and we all know this business is not as profitable as it is in other developed countries but it still dey pay bills and more it all depends on how disciplined you can be. One thing I've discovered from "sarewas" like i always like to call people like you is that you know like to non abt the biz and even if you do lil visibility studies you really don't have interest in driving, and with a city like Lagos it take far more to sure in any business at all, so in a nut shell the interest has kept alot of us going till now and we still they make money o.
Ire o!

The fact the you might have had a bad experience in the line of ehailing business does not give you the right to discourage other please. Hard working people are still making good money daily, collecting and finishing HP and even serious drivers saving up to get their own cars so please if you were not lucky or smart enough abeg na your own don't just jump in to discourage someone like that without even sharing the experience you had. ✌

On a Sunday this is a good trip, firstly let the rider pick you on like 10k if you pick the middle or highest offer then call the person to negotiate and definitely from the info you have from the person and if you're a good negotiator you must not get less than 15k from 4to5 hours. As well people like this tends to do more than agreed from your conversation so if they do more than agreed you might as well have an opportunity to charge extra too. Several time 5k work can turn to 15k I'm sure you must have experienced that.

I believe it's a set up by the police cuz according to his explanation, it sounds like police planted those guys to request and put the stuff inside the trunk while they stop the car and let those guys run away...
If you know that area well, Akala Police station is very close bye but they will never enter Akala direct instead dey will wait infront of their Police station doung stop and search on all vehicles. Na their normal way

I want to apply for a driver's licence
Please who can put me through the procedure
This will be my first time of applying
Call Alhaji Ibrahim at the Licensing office opposit Sura Lagos island 08023018224, I did 5years thru him last year, cant remember the exact amount I paid sef but he's a senior staff wey don tey there, so walk into the office to meet him and they will advice you, usually it's driving school documents that will increase the amount you pay, so if you have driving school certificate then you might just pay the actual amount.

Pilots, let's becareful and vigilant at all cost, we are in Ember period, last night, a friend of mine carried 3 people in mushin and they planted illegal substance in his car trunk, his mind wasn't there to ask what they had in the bag they put in his car, after picking them up, police stopped his car just by the junction of post office road in mushin, suddenly the 3 guys he carried just opened door and fled away, thats how policemen search the bag the guys kept in his trunk and found meth, loud, codeine & co.

They asked the guy to bail himself with 50k just because he showed them the trip was online...
The main warning is that never should you pick expecially male riders around Akala/Ghetto between Idioro and Oloosha Mishin and let them put something in your booth at night, never ever! NDLEA has been on their case their but their mata don eat very deep so make sure you tag that area as dark spot like law enforcement has done too and if you unknowingly carry some there go offline and keave that area with immediate alacrity.

Hello guys, I really need a sincere advise on this uber business. I have a car that I would love to put into use but the thing is that I won't be available to be driving the car myself.

I have read alot on this platform about making 60k per week. How feasible is it? how safe is it to also give out the car to someone else to drive without stories.

Your kind and sincere advise will be appreciated.

Thank you
Kindly chat me up let's talk, I may have an offer for you 08063394912.

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by vicolame(m): 9:38pm On Aug 31, 2022
My advice is for you to check on how much you can sell that car, then ask popman for permission and if you're a good boy to him and he gives you the go ahead then consider selling the car after considering if you can get extra cash either loan or lend to balance and get another Nigerian used car. Bolt inspection points are very thorough this days and they will certainly reject the car cos of the year and I don't think Uber too will accept it as well only Indrive will accept that car and you will be frustrated as a beginner to start with Indrive alone, e get why... lol

Well, my first question is what year is the Mazda? If it's 03 above then I can then ask if you know any family member you can manage with or if you know Lagos small? Since popman gave you the car and you car answer my questions above then Lagos may be your best bet as against driving that car in ibadan where you may get next to nothing. I have more than 3 guys that actually collected cars in ibadan and had to relocate to Lagos and their hustle dey pay wella here even though it's not all bed of roses sha. So Bolt may be your first plug search Google for their office to go and register and then you can download Indriver to back it up. I believe if the car enter Bolt you go dey alright and learn on the job.

Good day to the bosses on this forum
I happen to come across this page at a time when things ain’t going smoothly in my life at the moment
Luckily my dad gave him his Mazda 626 to try and start a taxi business but I would prefer the Uber way
I’m a fresh out graduate, jobs are not forthcoming and I need to put food on my table
The car documents are intact and I have a valid driving license
Please what are the requirements?
Which one is better(Uber, bolt or indriver)
I’m not sure I got the last one correctly but I heard someone talk about it
Please advise me on what to do
My location is Ibadan

Good evening bosses. Please what's the best way to increase ground clearance of a camry 2005? Change the tyre size or raise the car? Tyre size is 205/60/15
If you're ready to spend some money for the clearance you want cos of some bad roads in Lagos, then go to Ladipo and find a space to park preferably by a foga (as we call them) then anywhere around that Gtbank side, tell the guy to take you to where you can do exchange, price 5 size 315/65/16, this will mean that you first bargain to change all your rims to 16rims so negotiate 16 rims first and then show them pictures of your own rims and them bargain, if your tyres are still OK do same if not then just buy 5 toks tyres of that size and you should have the clearance you want. This was exactly what i did to the same 05 Camry I still use till date 2years ago when I bought it 9ja used.

It's a simple matter na, even if you pick a trip with 10mins left of your count down you can still finish the trip just ignore the warning sign till end of the trip nothing will happen even if u use 2hrs, u will still be able to end trip and get your full fare, and u will even notice the extra hours u used would av been subtracted from the supposed 6hrs rest time.

The goal is to squeeze out every juice we can find from them and the whole outcome(a new big player entering into the market will make uber and taxify throw incentive to retain or lock drivers in)

They have cash so there will be lots of bonuses from them, free rides to the existing o ride clientele or customer base. So I will sharply register with them
I do respect your opinion but pls lets not dance to the same song Taxify sang/played to us, we need a body at this time more that ever cos same way you envisage free bees i tell you that i smell further crash in prices by either of uberbolt or both of them just to remain in business an dont forget all Lagosians want is the cheapest ride so las las na drivers go suffer am o!

Plz Bosses I need an answer to this.
Is it a necessity 4 uber vehicles to b comprehensively insured...?
And is that a criteria for registration?
Not compulsory but it is necessary, you never know when that comprehensive insurance will save you or the owner when u find yourself in a bad accident situation. For registration on ehailing apps u can use 3rd party or wateva issurance u av, so it only to cover u as it's meant to be.

Hi guys, please I need tips on how to increase ground clearance of my 03 camry. It's very close to the ground.

Any tips on tyre size to increase height? Any dangers?
If your tyre rim is 15R then plan to go to Ladipo to do a swap to 16 rims and buy 215 by 60 tyres
So use 215/60 R16 you will see the diffrence and thank me later.

What other cars are we using here for ehailing? We have heard about dru23, Benz, corolla etc. I feel if we get advice from others that are using other brands or model it will help spice up these car thing, reduce the demand on corolla and reduce the barrier to entry for others that are looking at getting a durable car for a moderate fee.

One of us here uses ford Mondeo, how's the performance?

They are other compact sedan cars with 1.6 liter engine capacity and better fuel economy.

Who has tried Opel Astra saloon car? Vauxhall etc

Am just trying to shake the tables
This is the kindda of insightful messages i for one come here expecting to see, thank God bants done reduce with non visitation of some selected few.

Anyways, i guess generally we Nigerians don't want to risk experimenting expecially since u might not get correct parts and mechanics readily available for the car u may want to try hence, everybody follow Toyota brands. I had discussion on this with my guys and one of us who has tried Nissan gave a good recommendations about it, Nissan Sunny 09/10, Nissan Primera, Nissan Almera and Nissan Sentra. And I actually went on Jiji to check and realised the toks is within +/- 1.5m which is about the same range that will finish a 2003/2004 Toyota Camry so you see why many will choose Toyota for durability and also for second hand value sale but the question now is which one of the above mentioned Nissan product can compete with fuel consumption of the Corolla brand since na fuel consumption must of us they first think of? This is where I will call of @Gazzuzz and other well experience ladies and gentlemen here to further educate us. This is my submission you can subtract and add. Peace! grin

I still insist that any driver celebrating 25k HP either has no intention of seeing out that deal or he's falling into landlord's trap. On the flipside too, any landlord giving out 25k HP has no intention of seeing it through coz I would imagine that an investor will be eager to turn over the investment in the shortest time possible
This right here is the major challenge in this line of business cos even when you get a good driver then bad road and traffic amongst other challenges will still make it difficult.
