Never you underestimate the big difference that small changes can make. I hate politics but from a distance I know that its wrong for INEC Chairman to be appointed by the president who will also partake in election that Will determine his stay in office thus as long as this process remains we can never have credible election in Nigeria. It may not affect you today but in future you will be judge by your conscience for denying Nigeria a better future.

SO THERE IS SUBSIDY
tactius:

The Minister of Finance, Mrs Zainab Ahmed says the Federal Government will look into gradual removal of fuel subsidy as part of strategy to boost revenue.

Ahmed said this on Thursday on the sideline of the IMF/World Bank meetings currently taking place in Washington DC, United States of America.

Ahmed made the disclosure while reacting to the IMF’s advice to Nigeria and other countries who still subsidise fossil fuel to stop doing so.

According to the IMF, fuel subsidy removal would help boost revenue and improve government’s spending to build more hospitals, roads, schools, and to support education and health for the people.

“It’s good advice, but we have to implement it in a way that will be successful as well as sustainable.

“We are not in the position to wake up one night and just remove subsidy. We have to educate the people, we have to show the Nigerian citizens what the replacement for this subsidy will be.

“So, we have a lot of work to do because subsidy removal has to be gradual and the public has to be well informed,” she said.

Ahmed said that since the IMF/World Bank meetings started, she has had high-level meetings on taxation and discussions on global economy.

“We spoke on the need to build more fiscal buffers because of the slow down in global economic growth and partly by the natural incidences that are happening around the world like the cyclone in Southern Africa.

“We are discussing between ourselves on how we can better manage our finances and also how we must curtail the increases in our debt.

“For Nigeria, we are asking the World Bank to review some of the initiatives that involves them looking at implementation systems when they are providing funding for infrastructure.

“We understand that it’s well intended but we have informed them that they need to review its implementation, so that we are not overly slowed down because of the new procedures,” she said.

Some like d one I saw recently early in the morning collecting more than five sachet of Chelsea and was drinking one. It all coin at the nature of training and supervision they receive. Those whom they junior officers reports to are now using them to make money, the junior officers will go out and extort money by all means from the innocent people and give share to the Senior officers and this make them handicap to caution them when they go wrong. #overhaulthepoliceforce is d best option.

Just when you think you have seen it all, the driver of a silver Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG ,who must have forgotten to remove the fuel nozzle after filling up his tank, was seen driving around with the fuel nozzle and part of its hose.

Obviously , the driver of the Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG fueled up and simply forgot to remove the nozzle, unlike in Nigeria, where the petrol attendants does the job for you .

The driver must have then drove off, cutting the hose in half and probably leaving the filling station covered in highly-flammable petrol.

Who ever place a vote in Buhari's favour may disaster befall him or her including his or her family and generation. Enough is enough,Nigerians are dieing like a sheep without Shepherd and a president is happily campaigning. What is the use of a president whose citizens leaves without hope of good life, life it self has no meaning again to average Nigerians. It has never been this bad in Nigeria history, hatred and division at it peak, hunger and starvation so high, killings every where please is this the end of Nigeria as a nation. woe to who ever that sees the truth but refuse to speak, woe to who ever is playing politics with Nigerians life, woe to who ever that is making any personal gain from Nigerians suffering, woe to who ever that is making things difficult for Nigerians, woe to who ever that takes his political ambition serious than Nigerians, woe to who ever that placed Nigeria in this state of casualty. God of heaven unless you seize to be God from this moment but if you are still God please honor your name if President Buhari is the cause of Nigeria problem put him to end.
knightsTempler:
You cannot arrogantly rule a nation for 4 years, then start humbly begging for votes just 4 days to elections. That's not how governance works, ND that's certainly not how humility works.

President Buhari kept malice with Nigerians, giving us the silent treatment for more than 2 years, and only speaking words of insult and provocation from abroad.

He was quiet while his Python Danced in the South East, when the mass murderers reigned in the Middle Belt, and all the time illiteracy escalated in the North, and poverty ravaged the entire nation.

Now he's reading a scripted appeal for a second from the same lazy Nigerians, the same women who belong in the kitchen and the other room, the same people nepotism didn't allow him see as qualified to run government with him.

Tens of millions of Nigerians have been thrown into Extreme Poverty
10 million Nigerians have lost their jobs
Hundreds of thousands shut down business
Millions of government workers paid half salaries
Thousands of soldiers massacred
Millions of IDPs starved as their food is diverted
Stock market battered to half its real value
Billions of dollars borrowed
Hundreds of Shiites killed
Hundreds of thousands of students at home
Millions of kids out of school
Billions in goods trapped at the ports
Thousands of farmers massacred
Thousands of herders slaughtered

Honestly, someone needs to slowly explain to me like a child, what Buhari is begging for a second chance for. What exactly does he want to do?
Travel / Re: 18 Common Road Signs That Most Motorists In Nigeria Don’t Know Their Meanings by VictorEkwere: 9:06pm On Feb 21, 2019
AutoJoshNG:
Road traffic signs serve several purposes: some road signs are placed on roads to point out directions to motorists; some are placed there to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians; some are there to give us an idea of what to expect ahead of us, etc.

Technically, road signs are traffic languages. They communicate specific messages to motorists and pedestrians.

Every motorist – and in some cases, pedestrians – are expected to have an understanding of what these signs represent.

It is because of this that the teaching of road traffic signs and their meanings are an essential topic taught at driving schools. Unfortunately, most motorists in Nigeria did not pass through formal driving schools.

Road signs are typically represented as symbols or annotations. In Nigeria, there is an enormous lack of understanding of what these symbols used in road signs represent. And as such, it is very common in Nigeria for the authorities in charge of producing road signs to produce road signs with symbols together with their meanings spelt out on them.

Anyway, Autojosh presents an explanation of 15 common road signs that most Nigerian motorists do not know their meanings.

PED Xing

This sign is one of the most confusing road signs that motorists come across in Nigeria. However, it is better understood when represented in its pictorial form. It actually means, “Pedestrian crossing”. This sign is often placed ahead of or near zebra crossings.

No Entry/ Do Not Enter

This sign is used to indicate that there is no entry for vehicular traffic. It is placed at the exit of some roads to inform motorist that they cannot drive into that road. It is often used at intersections to roads with one-way traffic.

No Stopping

A ‘No Stopping’ sign instructs motorists to keep moving and must not stop at any time, not for a minute, not for a second, not for a jiffy, on the road or in an area to which the ‘No Stopping’ sign applies.

Turn On Red

This sign is placed at intersections where there are traffic lights. This sign generally permits vehicles to make a right turn even when the traffic light is on red. In other words, this sign gives permission to vehicles to turn into the next junction on the right nearer to them, even when the traffic light is showing a red signal and without having to wait for a green signal.

Sharp Deviation of Route or “Chevron” Sign

The chevron sign is positioned to warn motorists of a suden change in traffic direction. That is, they are positioned at places where traffic makes a sudden change in its course or direction , such as bends in the road or at round about. The chevron pattern pointing in the direction that traffic has to turn.

No Waiting

Just like the “No Stopping” sign, this sign is placed along roads or streets to instruct drivers to keep driving or keep their vehicles in motion and not to stop. The difference is that, this signs allows a motorist to stop – to drop off or pick up a passenger, etc. Staying longer than necessary can be viewed as “waiting” or violation of the No Waiting instruction.

No Overtaking

This sign is typically placed on two-way roads that are too narrow or are too risky for vehicles to attempt to overtake vehicles ahead of them. They are also placed at bends, dips in the road or where there are trees.

Lane Merge Left
This sign warns motorist that the lane that they are on narrows as they drive ahead. And such narrow end merges with a parallel lane to the left.

Lane Merge Right

This sign warns motorist that the lane that they are on narrows as the y drive ahead or as it ends. And such narrow end merges with a parallel lane to the right.

Bumps Ahead

This sign is used to warn motorists that there is a bump ahead or an uneven road surface on the road. This warning is intended to get motorists to reduce their speeds at certain points.

Narrow Bridge Ahead

This sign is placed ahead of a location where there is a narrow bridge. This sign is intended to get motorists to reduce their speed and drive cautiously as they approach the bridge.

Keep Right

This sign instructs motorists to keep to the right side of a two-way road. Driving into the left side of the road is a violation of this traffic instruction.

Keep Left

This sign instructs motorists to keep to the left side of a two-way road. Driving into the right side of the road is a violation of this traffic instruction.

Dangerous Turn Right

This sign warns motorists that the road ahead is about to turn sharply in the direction of the arrow, in this case, to the right.

Dangerous Turn Left

This sign warns motorists that the road ahead is about to turn sharply in the direction of the arrow, in this case, to the left.

Pass Either Way

The sign informs motorists that they can pass either side of a diving road to reach the same destination or different directions.

Box Junction

A box junction is a road traffic control measure designed to prevent congestion and gridlock at junctions.
The surface of the junction is typically marked with a crisscross grid of diagonal painted lines (or only two lines crossing each other in the box).

Vehicles are not permitted to enter the area so marked unless their exit from the junction is clear, or they are intending to turn right and are prevented from doing so by oncoming traffic, or other vehicles on the box waiting to turn right.
