You 5000 is just 304,000 VND which they spend under 30 seconds. An average vietnamese is much more than an average Nigerian. You guys will be in Nigeria saying what happens in another country you have never set your feet too. Vietnamese money going below Naira doesn't mean you have an edge over them. It is 100% easy to survive and live a good life here in Vietnam than in Nigeria.

Google list of best insurance for foreign students in Austria. Don't worry much about the 30,000 EUR Premium. A decent one should cost between 100-200 EUR or other popular cheap ones around 50 EUR per month.

Thanks so much. I have seen AXE health insurance company but I want to know how many months duration can he buy. There are one month to 24 months insurance. Since he is going for 2 years masters program, is he expected to buy upto 24 months health insurance or just some few months.

Firstly, it's really unfair to write like this. People are quite helpful here, it doesn't have to be all bold wink

Regarding your question, with assumption that the Austrian process may be similar to that of Germany, your nephew will need an insurance for enrollment at least even before it gets to the residence permit stage.
İ suppose insurance differs from country to country, so his best shot may be to visit the school website and read through, most of the times, insurance offers are mentioned alongside information about enrollment and all.
Another possibility will be through the institution that renders the blocked account service. Most of the times, insurance comes incorporated with the blocked account plan so that's another way around it.
A lot of factor goes into choosing an insurance plan so he may want to do some searching, and possibly contact someone in Austria.

İn summary, the details above are hugely anchored on my little knowledge regarding the process for Germany, and i can't guarantee that same applies for Austria.

Thanks for your kind input. Austria doesn't do block account. No insurance company was listed both on the embassy site and the school site. The embassy just made mention of getting an 30,000 Euro worth of Insurance. My question is, how many months of such insurance can he buy? He is going for his Masters school.

The events sector has been killed by Covid restrictions ..people are no longer throwing parties/weddings like before ..

If you can learn handy skills like plumbing, gas boiler service/repair, flooring installation like carpet, tiles, luxury vinyl, laminate. . One can make some nice cash on the side doing these alongside your main profession.

Even if you learn IT skills in Nigeria, you will still need to obtain training and certification in whatever country you're going to before you can get a job there.

IT certificates are recognised world wide. I am a Cloud Administrator and I have Azure certificate from Microsoft, Oracle certificate in Cloud computing and they are all recognised world wide.

I don't have knowledge about on how you can transit. You can check schools online with the least tuition cost. If you studied shitty course like you said, try to upgrade your career line to meet up with the time you spent studying. I studied a course that has nothing to impact this 21st century but I had to make a switch of career into IT.

Once their are adequate and functional basic amenities, you will never regret anything. I was welcomed by winter cold the month I landed and I was like disappearing to appear in Nigeria. It wasn't funny but I got used to it. One thing I need to educate us is to prepare yourself before travelling out. Get aquintented with a good skill and God by your side, you will have cause to be stable. No country is bad except you lack some demanding skills. If you are not into Medical line, toe the line of IT and you wouldn't regret it.

Everyone's destiny is not the same. If you are convinced in your mind to travel, pray and ask God for uncommon favour. Make sure you don't go there and involve yourself into illegality. Before 3 months, God's favour must surely locate you. God is your connection and don't forget, pray and pray like everything depends on prayers. You will surely come back to this post to give testimony on how the grace of God found you. It is not easy abroad but with God, you can scale through. Make sure you take along with you some food stuffs, enough money to house and feed you for the 3 months and you will be fine. Congratulations in advance and I wish you goodluck and God will surely favour you. GO AND SUCCEED BROTHER.

Travel / Re: Why Do Your Friends Ignore You When They Finally Travel Out Of The Country? by Vietnaminfo(m): 6:32pm On Sep 17, 2020
Why many guys outside Nigeria hardly have a healthy communication with their counterparts in Nigeria is because of Obsession and having too much time. I have a friend I told I have traveled and we laughed over it. Not up to a week, this guy started billing me oooo. I was able to send him something at the end of the month which he didn't acknowledge until I called to tell him I was the one who sent the money. Next month, this guy came up with another disturbing tactics of greeting me morning, afternoon and night all in the name of showing concern and care. I told him Nigeria and the country I am has 6 hours difference which he never observed. Once he see me online, the next thing is his message. Another ones are the type that always ask you how many White women you have slept with. Another group is the one who always want you to be chatting with them every minutes without knowing you need to work out your salvation in abroad. I prefer you call me or drop me voice note to chatting. No real abroad based will have time for chatting except maybe on Sunday when there is a little time for relaxation. Over here, there is no free day or weekend. We work from Monday to Sunday with no break. Abroad life is not easy abeg. Guys should understand that there is no time to rest when you actually know what you came abroad to do.

Let me ask you this. How do you intend to get a business visa or work permit that will allow you to do business in Turkey or Canada especially with the small amount of money you have? Once you change that money into U.S Dollars, it won't go a long way. Remember, unless you have family in Canada or Turkey that will be willing to accommodate and feed you for free, you will have to pay rent, pay for utilities like electricity, water, etc. and buy groceries.

Cost of living is higher in these countries you intend migrating to because you are coming from a country with a weak currency. So you will need a lot of Naira changed into U S Dollars to get a significant amount of money to get anything significant done overseas.

Another thing you need to do is change your mindset about abroad. These white, asian and arab nations many Nigerians and Africans flock to were not created with the African in mind. The truth of the matter is, the indigenous citizens of these nations don't want a bunch of black Africans migrating to their countries in search of the proverbial "greener pastures."

Our world is becoming more and more tribal, xenophobic and racially hostile. Few months ago, Africans were being thrown out on the streets in China despite the fact that many had paid for their accomodations. In Beirut were there was recently a bomb blast, Africans who were legally working in Beirut before the blast were also thrown out on the streets. There is a video about that on YouTube.

In Saudi Arabia, Black Africans are being flogged like cattle and sheep due to not having valid work permit or residency permit documents.

In America, white police officers have made it their life long goals to kill black people. A young black woman by the name of Breonna Taylor who is an emergency medical technician - you know, the people who work in the ambulance car saving the lives of the sick and transporting them to the hospital - was at home in her bed fast asleep when white police officers broke into her home and shot her dead in her bed while she lay asleep.

In North Cyprus, a lot of Nigerian and African university students have been murdered or mysteriously gone missing. The law enforcement authorities in that country are doing absolutely nothing to solve this murders or disappearances because after all, the people who are being killed are Black Africans.

I don't know why you and many others like you are only dreaming of going to non-African countries to go and hustle? Have you ever stopped to ask yourself how the white, asian and arab citizens feel about black Africans infiltrating their societies in search of "greener pastures" that may not even exist?

Go and see what is happening to Black Africans in Libya. They torture them with such brutality that even their animals don't get treated that way.

You people keep running away from Africa. Who do you people think are going to fix Africa for you? You keep flocking to countries where our people are barely tolerated by the indigenes of these nations. Do you honestly think that these nations built their countries for Black Africans to come and enjoy? Think about it!

We Africans don't want to fix our nations to become the envy of the world. We continue to vote in and recycle incompetent leaders who have no clue on how to move our country forward.

The money you have is sufficient to start a business in an African country somewhere. If you are not considering African countries, then I strongly suggest you remain in Nigeria because neither Turkey not Canada will grant you a business permit with the current amount of money you have. That is just the gospel truth. First world countries are making it extremely difficult for Nigerians to get common tourist visa how much more business permit/visa.

An increasing number of Black people from America, Europe, the Caribbean, etc who descended from enslaved Africans are wishing to move to Africa to start businesses and live in an African country to escape all the racial hostility in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia while media brain washed Africans like yourself are desperately looking to leave Africa to become enslaved in Europe, north America, the middle East and Asia. Oh what the irony!

You have been warned. He who has ears, let him hear. Shalom!

Why are some guys dream killers? Who gave you this lies from pit of hell. Why not tell OP the best legal way to travel than yarning all this trash. I am presently in Vietnam (Asia) working legally with my Temporary Residency and work permit. How can you compare life outside Nigeria with the present day Nigeria. Once the OP is not traveling to any country illegally, he will be better than he left Nigeria by far. I graduated since the year 2011 and got no job after my service till I traveled and I can bet you that I am doing better off with my earnings. OP, make researches to countries your mind is in line with and no much about the country and the better way to stay legal and make your living. Never you dream to come illegally or remain illegally when you arrive to any country because your way of making it will be limited. I wish you good luck OP.

Hello nairalanders, please I need anyone in Denmark to help verify an organization.

My friend saw a vacancy post from them, he applied and he has been given the job. The issue now is that their website doesn't say much about them and they don't have good social media presence.

The name of the organization is Global Poverty Alleviation Initiative and they are located in Copenhagen. He applied to be an international volunteer. Thanks.

Everything I could find indicates it is relatively new.

Could not find anything about it written in Danish. Could not find it registered as an organisation with the authorities. (Danish law to prevent fraud all charities must ask for permissions to raise money and document how the money is spent).

The address is an open office environment where you can basically rent a desk and share the facilities with other companies or organisations So maybe not more than a mailing address.

The phone number is not giving any “hits” on sites where you can complain about telemarketers selling stuff, which is highly unusual for organisations that asks random people for money.

The events on the website is not mentioned in any google search relatable to Denmark. The website claims it held a thanksgiving soup event in the Copenhagen Cathedral on the 8th or March. The priests speech for that day mentions nothing about it

So I got no idea if it is legit. Based on the little information found on the website I suspect it is some kind of Christian religious movement that has created a semi legit branch in Denmark, so it can claim its a larger movement world wide. Does not require much to set up a mailing address in Denmark and one person is enough to host events

I used to be pro "home is the place of retirement". But after digesting the story of Abraham how he left Haran for Cannan and never looked back, I realised that my home is my place of destiny. Abraham took Lot along and was slowed down. I left this country for a decade and returned to contribute to her development, but what I am seeing is really beyond me. To find one honest Nigerian is so hard. Amen, God will see me through. I cannot pray for Nigeria again myself cos I am tired. I can only encourage others to keep praying.

The story of Nigeria is too painful. This is a country G7 countries expect to be the leader of Africa. In the 70s, Brazil, Malaysia and Nigeria were pointed at as developing nations with the expectation of becoming fully developed around this 2020. For goodness sake, look at Nigeria. This is too painful.

An example is the kind of comments on the front page of this Nairaland. It is the real Nigeria you read here. Hopeless and useless people always fighting to make comments. Useless styles of reserving spaces, and the system isn't functioning well to correct it. This is exactly what is happening in Aso Rock and in the national assembly. Hopeless people there make terrible decisions and destroying Nigeria, and the system celebrates corruption.

You are not far from the truth. Immediately you step your foot outside Nigeria, you will actually know Nigeria is the real definition of hell fire. I came to Vietnam, a country that has no mineral resources like Nigeria, all the basic amenities are in place and everything is working very fine. These stuffs were maintained with tax payers money. What a country is Nigeria? Our Government has killed the young vibrant youths.

Now, I understand why some people dont look back when they leave. It was hard for me to not look back, but this time, the day I leave again is the day I dust my legs. I will live very long in good health in freedom, but I will only say hello to Nigeria only and only if necessary. My passport will be at the bottom of my luggage cos I do not pray to ever find a situation I will need it. I will rather take visa to enter Nigeria again than use the passport. This is my wish which I am forced to make public so God can answer my prayer. I am done with Nigeria.
