What is the citizenship certificate the interior minister just introduced as part of requirements
the closest, if I'm not mistaken, is birth or attestation of citizenship by the local government chairman. I stand corrected

I did Diy for my wife and children just this month a day before the new application process in Abeokuta. I'm surprised they're giving excuse for online process instead of acknowledging it. Which way Nigeria?

Levels1:

I was like wondering when I saw all the requirements the ops wrote as i register for my wife and kids on 11th of December and captured 12 of Dec and it was done by myself.

Anyways I did mine in Abeokuta center.

Documents required

Letter of consent from both parents

Birth certificate

Nin for everyone capturing

Guarantor form for just your wife as children doesn't need it

Your photocopy of both nin and valid international passport, and your wife nin.

2 passport photograph of each child and both parents

Note

Before I apply for my wife, I make sure she changed her names on nin, and once that's done there's no need of marriage certificate as they never requested for it.

Good evening sis
Please I have a few questions to ask concerning international passport registration for my three children and wife. I have international passport but my wife doesn't have, so can I stand as a guarantoo for my kids? How do I go about the marriage certificate when we don't have? Is the Ikoyi marriage certificate different to the one in local government? I had a bad experience when I did my passport process because of the immigration officer I used. Kindly help me out or reach me on +2347085510075

Stephanie75:

Good morning,

So when we got to Ikoyi passport office yesterday, we went straight to the servicom unit. I went with my husband and baby (they both just applied for the first time). We were directed to an office for documents checkv. We met a lady who requested to see the payment receipts from our bank or the debit alert.

1. The documents I submitted for change of name were:
a) Printed application form
b) Payment receipt
c) Appointment slip
d) Change of name form (they gave me a copy, asked me to make my copy and return theirs)
e) Applicant verification form (they gave me a copy, asked me to make my copy and return theirs)
f) Handwritten application letter for change of name
g) Marriage certificate
h) Court affidavit for change of name
i) Newspaper publication
j) NIN
k) International passport data page
l) Husband's International passport data page (they requested for his payment receipt because he just applied and has no International passport yet)
m) Husband's NIN
n) 2 Passport photographs

2. For my 10 months old baby:

a) Printed application form
b) Payment receipt
c) Appointment slip
d) Applicant verification form
e). Handwritten letter of consent from both parents (with their passport photographs attached)
f) Both parents' International passport data page (we submitted our payment receipt instead)
g) Both parents' NIN
h) Parents' marriage certificate
i) Birth certificate
j) NIN
k) 2 passport photographs

3. My husband (fresh application) submitted:

) Printed application form
b) Payment receipt
c) Appointment slip
d) Applicant verification form
e) NIN
f) Birth Certificate
g) Local Government of Origin
h) Guarantor's form as well as a copy of his NIN and International passport data page
i) 2 passport photographs

After checking our documents, she signed on them and directed us to another office where a file was opened for my husband and baby. They (husband and baby) took their files and went in for capturing.

I was directed to a different office where a file was opened for me and signed. My file was given to me and I was directed to an office for my capturing. It took less than 15 minutes for me to capture.

My husband and baby's capturing took about 40 minutes and we were done.

The process was seamless.

what are the parameters that can trigger NIN issue or mismatch?

firstly, it could be a missing name in the nin and form. if you have Sola Chris Noble in your nin and u have just Sola Noble in the form.

lastly, if u have issue with your DOB. if your nin DOB is 01/02/2000 and on your form it's 01/02/2001.

mind you, most documents that have two or three names doesn't matter except your nin. you can always swear an affidavit. I don't know about other place in Lagos but for ikeja, you can go to the NSCDC compound for the nin verification

Good day fam, please I need someone to put me through the process of third party collection and the cost. @ekitimanalways and everyone that can help. Thank you

are u the applicant? where did u capture? u most likely would need to do a finger capture again if the system requires. so for me, I will not advise u use a third party for ur collection.

Hi everyone.

I am dire need of my passport. I captured 25th April at Alausa and collection date was June 28. I was there for the 2nd time, last week Thursday and was told that only those in my batch who paid for 10 years passport(validity) could go for collection this week. I wasnt given any specific time frame to check back since mine is 5 years.

like @hoelujohn rightly predicted, it will only take a miracle for it to be ready this August. ordinarily, the capture and collection date shouldn't be more than 2-2½ months depending on the centre but for ikeja, be rest assured it will be ready this august
I cant stop wondering why it has to be so.

Anyways, I desperately need the passport to secure a job offer after several years of unemployment. I don't know how much longer the employer can wait.

Please does anyone know when the late April batch is likely to be produced?

Please any form of help will be highly appreciated.

Please help a sister.

She did a wonderful job bro, paying 44k does not mean she will allow you to jump queue....if you want it more faster, you will pay between 70k to 80k.....pls give me her phone number,I'm planning to do my as soon as possible.....Note: assuming you apply do it urself method, the process for frustrate you . ..it's better to do it through immigration officer, after all you go get person wey go dey update you...
I'm sorry I can't drop her number on a public forum. send a dm if u need her number. if it was DIY, I would be patient to do the necessary paperworks myself. I paid and I didn't get value for my money, based what I think

Despite paying 45k, so you still have to wait from morning till evening before you get captured
yes, I had to wait for hours before capturing. it's not worth paying if I must say the truth. and it's equally worth paying if u have the money and can't wait forever

got inside the capturing room in the evening around 6 pm. captured, signed and got a printout for March 24 for collection date. got there last week and was told to come back next two weeks. it's shameful that immigration officers extort Nigerians knowing well that DIY is the same as paying N45k or more.

Fast forward!!! I called the officer two days before the capturing date, she just said I should bring my NIN but I decided to go with my birth certificate. Got there before 7:30 and I met a very long queue. Called the officer that I was there, since I paid I'm not supposed to waste time and she should be able to fast track the process for me. lo and behold the woman said I have to stay on the queue until I get inside for the capturing. what's the money I paid for!!!!!!??!
