vivichocs: My fellow biochemists, let's come 2gether here and share ideas on hw to better ourselves/ career..Do we really hv a chance in this country ? sometimes, i just ponder on this questn....i hardly hear a Biochemist got a with Chevron ,Total..etc....pls, let's enligten ourselves on the professional courses to take inorder to equip our CVs and be eligible for wrks
in national or multinational companies..

nice thread u ve opened here. Hw i wish i knw dz typ of house exist b4 nw. As 4 d carreer oportunity in biochemistry, we hv lots of space in dz country . Tke a luk at d clinic 4 example, we cn work as a laboratory attendant in any clinic wia test lyk fastin blud suga, random blud suga, total cholesteral, creatinine, total blud protein, albunin, nd d rest of oda biochemical tests ar carried out. Dz is posible if u ofer d course as clinical biochemistry. Lyk in ma skul (BUK), it's offerd as both clinical nd industrial bch. So, as 4 d industrial sector, we cn work as a quality cntrol manager in most of d food company and even in d pharmaceutical industry. Though, i wil advice ma felow biokemist 2 lets try nd enrol 4 our masters after our youth service. As dz wil enable us 2 bcme a profesional in a specific area of biokemis3 nd at d same tym increase our chances of securin a gud nd wel paid job. I dnt regret bn a biokemst. I doubt if i wil enjoy any course oda dan biokemistry. "In enzyme we trust"
