They put President Bola Tinubu image, who is of APC.

They put Nyesome Wike image, who is an associate of APC.

They put Speaker Martin Amaewhule image, who is of APC.

No image of PDP Acting National Chairman.

No image of Governor Siminalayi Fubara who is of PDP.

Unfortunately, PDP NWC just apointed them as Caretaker Committee Executives for three month after the end of their tenure.

This is confusingly confusing?

This is not a state event tho, it's a LG event and Wike's LG for that matter, so them omitting Fubara is very understandable.

It is not understandable. Omitting Fubara is a break of protocol. What is Martin doing there? Is he of PDP? what about Tinubu? Why is the Governor not there? Why is PDP Acting National Chairman not there?

The National Chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Julious Abure, has accused the Joe Ajaero-led Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and those they led to besiege the party’s national secretariat of stealing funds meant for payment of staff salaries, among other valuables during Wednesday’s attack.

Abure, who spoke for the first time since the picketing of the party’s secretariat, described the action of the labour leaders as a shame and act of rascality. In a statement signed on his behalf by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, in Abuja, yesterday, Abure said, “What we saw was a show of shame, a show of rascality, an abuse of office and an abuse of the law of the land.

“Nigeria Labour Congress is subject to the law. NLC under Joe Ajaero is not above the law and the law precludes Ajaero and the leadership of NLC to take laws into their hands, where they besieged the office, broke the fence, destroyed the gates, unlawfully took possession of the secretariat and destroyed properties worth millions of naira.

“Properties stolen, including monies, made for the payment of salaries and other official purposes. This is unfortunate. It is becoming unbecoming.

“I must state today that the leadership of NLC under Joe Ajaero is on the path of destroying the successes we recorded in the 2023 general election.”

Reacting to Abure’s allegation, Acting Chairman of NLC’s Political Commission, Professor Theophilus Udubuaku, among others , said, “Abure should be reminded, since he is now suffering from selective amnesia that it took the picketing by Ajaero-led NLC to drive Lamidi Apapa away from the LP headquarters before he moved in.

“Talking about lies, it speaks much about who Abure really is when he claims that billions of naira were stolen when the picketing was conducted in the presence of scores of policemen, DSS officers and pressmen. These lies alone define Abure as a man who is grossly irresponsible.”

“We would like the Nigerian media to appreciate the fact that NLC is not interested in a media war with a man who thinks he can successfully transform himself into a sole administrator of LP.

“The press is expected to do its duty and fact-check the comments from Abure and his men and call them out as liars.

Africa's wealthiest man, Aliko Dangote, has started giving out one million bags of rice worth more than N13 billion to people in need all over Nigeria through his Humanitarian Foundation.

The organization is also providing meals for a minimum of 10,000 Muslims who are fasting during the holy month of Ramadan in Kano State.

A press release penned by Samira Sanusi, an executive at the foundation in Kano, announced that the organization intends to disseminate one million bags of rice – valued at over N13 billion – throughout the 36 states of the federation and Abuja as a measure to alleviate the hardships faced in the nation.

Mrs. Sanusi mentioned that the act of kindness was provided on top of the regular distribution of 20,000 loaves of bread to residents in Kano and 15,000 to residents in Lagos, a program that was initiated by the foundation in 2020

Mrs Sanusi detailed that the complimentary meals provided during Ramadan encompass a variety of dishes such as jollof rice, plain rice with stew, jollof spaghetti, yam, and beans accompanied by chicken and beef. Each meal package also includes a bottle of water and a beverage for individual consumption.

She mentioned that the meals are handed out at Juma'at mosques, on streets, in prisons, orphanages, remand homes, and various locations within Kano City and the surrounding areas.

Apart from initiating the free bread distribution program four years ago, Mrs. Sanusi revealed that Mr. Dangote has been discreetly providing food assistance to the less fortunate in Kano for more than three decades.

According to her, this was carried out from his mother's home in Koki and from different cooking venues.

“This feeding programme feeds 10,000 Kano residents daily with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a unique feat that has been in existence for over 30 years,” she said.
