MsJackson:

Yes I'm teaching now thanks. All and I mean all his family members have blocked my access to them both online and offline. It saddens my heart greatly. I have left the battle to God. Because how can all of them just hate me based on one sided story of my husband? NOT ONE OF THEM ALLOWED ME TO NARRATE MY SIDE OF THE STORY. They listened to him only and passed judgement. Even a criminal or murderer is allowed their day in court. But I have been judged and found wanting by them. I pray God heals my heart.

They listened to him alone and passed the judgement, and you blame them?

That's the same way you brought the matter to Nairaland and people listened to you only, and also passed judgement on your husband, calling him all sorts of names...

You see say you do your own, he do him own also

Imagine him reading this post and seeing all the comments also... It'll sadden his heart and he'll leave the battle to God, because how can all the commenters just hate him because of one-sided story of his wife? ... Even a criminal and murderer is allowed their day in court, but he had been judged and found wanting by most people on this thread... He'll then end by saying, "I PRAY GOD HEALS MY HEART"
Politics / Re: Testing Begins On 700MW Zungeru Hydroelectric Power Plant – FG by Yampotatocarrot(m): 3:23pm On Apr 09
The more I read what this power minister says, in all ramifications, the more confused I am... From the tariff hike to this news now... Is it that where they live, they actually have constant 24hours light FROM PHCN without using generator or what?

Since the increase in tariff, our light in this area of Ayobo have gone from bad to worse, as in atimes just 2hrs in a day, and those 2hrs will be broken into 5 minutes each... Whereas, at Gbagada (Soluyi/Powerline), our light for that side don go from better to best... Having 24hrs light for days, except on Sunday that they took it for a while before bringing it back

Abeg, IKEDC, remember Ayobo (Makinde) people

Are they using prepaid to charge it?

Lagos should just start generating their own electricity jare... It'll make this electric car stiff more viable... They can even open charging centres for those with electric cars also

Politics / Re: We Are Sustaining Electricity Subsidy For 85% Consumers – FG by Yampotatocarrot(m): 8:56am On Apr 06
But, let's check this thing well o... If it's by 20hours of light, many northern states are on band A o... I've lived in some states in the North and they have constant light, as in almost 24 hours constant light

Will those rural areas be able to pay for this increment?

Let Disco assign areas to the right band. Most of the areas categorized in Band A are not using expected duration of electricity which is cheating

Exactly... Let them even start from there

As much as I'm skeptical that they might gradually remove the subsidy in other bands gradually, let everyone be correctly grouped first

I disagree with you sir, the presence of too many middle men and retailers is what is responsible for local food products to be expensive.

I don't know of other products, but if it's rice, it's not true

Middle men ain't the ones making price of rice expensive... Go to the rice mills and check the price of rice, whether the well processed ones that look like foreign, or the ones that are "just there"... Then, add cost of transport, and tell me how much they're supposed to sell it

So they did and increments from 68 naira per kwh to 225naira kwh, and they are saying it's just 52% reduction in their purported subsidy
Meaning they are still helping u pay the remaining 48%...l laugh....
They are just saying this so that in the next 3years they will come for more increments

Exactly o... Meaning they'll soon come for those in other bands, since removal of subsidy is the new normal

I just dey laugh those saying it's only Band A that it'll reach... E be like breakfast, e go reach everybody soon

And after helping her, what will the ministry do when a deluge of people decide to also take up residence there just to get attention also? When Lagos beggars on Agege rail line decide to board trailers heading to Cross River so that they can also benefit from the benevolence of the ministries?

I'm not saying she shouldn't be helped, but I hope the ministry won't start what they can't finish, because those that applaud them for starting will be the ones to antagonise them when they start chasing opportunists away

No, it's not. But the discos need money because the current business model is not profitable. They are running at a loss and incurring a lot of debts from banks.

Does this mean ALL THE SUBSIDIES have been removed? Hope we won't later hear that it's partial removal, then the next removal will affect band B and so on?

Even if power generated is less than 2000megawatts, power is shared and distributed on rationing, Priority wise

You might mistakenly find yourself living a band A area but No Area using Band A is mistakenly selected, i don't know how the rich will feel about the increment

But i believe, an improved electricity will trickle down to ALL, so what if the rich pay the price for us.

The issue is, the price was increased because of subsidy removal... Have the subsidy FULLY BEEN REMOVED? Won't they come back later to say what was done was PARTIAL REMOVAL, that the next phase of the removal will affect band B, then gradually, it'll trickle down?

In a situation where an area paying this high doesn't get the required hours of light, will they be compensated, since that's why they're paying high? (All I saw there was that discos will send message to them apologizing)... So I pay high for 20hours of light, but in a month you only brought light for 20hours in just 16 days, and my compensation are text messages of apology?

Make una no vex o... If the tariff for those in band A is increased, I believe it's because they WILL BE PROVIDED up to 20hours light per day

Now, in a situation they don't get up to that number of hours per day, is there a compensation for them or can they sue PHCN and win, because that's the basis on which they're paying that much?
