Take an aerial view of the north compared to the south. In the north u see one house then empty land before another. But in the south the houses are so densely packed!

You guys should stop saying that. Igbos are mostly traders and the entire South East is saturated with markets. That is why they move to other regions with fewer traders and they maximise such opportunities.
Are you not aware that 2 of the 5 largest markets in Nigeria (Onitsha Main Market and Ariaria Market Aba) are in Igbo land. The largest market for vehicle parts is in Igbo land (at Nnewi).

Igbos invest in their homes well enough. Go to villages in the south east especially in Anambra State and see business men living in other parts of the country building houses they barely live in.

Building a house in the middle of a bush is not an investment.
If Igbos invest well in their place the market will come to them.
