I was offered a Camry LE manufactured 08/02 (i don't know if that is 2003 model or 2002 model) with the landing cost in Lagos from Cotonou at 1.6M.

Very clean with Fabric Interior.

Millage less than 80K

If it is timing problem, the car will not start. If it is transmission fluid problem, the car will not enter gear. From his explanation, these two aspects are not the problem.

From your explanation above, it shows that; when you attempt to move by pressing the accelerator, the car will stop. This is an indication that your exhaust system is blocked and the engine cannot breath.

It happened to my car just today and we have to call in the panel beater t o open and clear either the exhaust pot at the back or the one at the middle.

This is not peculiar to Friendl, although he may have been overdoing such. It is a general problem with Nairaland Auto Dealers. Prices are always carrying extra high margin say in the region of 350k to 500k.

Well, they could as well argue that good negotiation remains the key; but such high prices will even scare most buyers away at the first instance except for some money bags. Then, how many of such money bags do we have in our society?

This has an extended effect of narrowing down their market segment, but an average Nigerian dealer is traditionally contented with selling a few cars in a year at high profit margin compared to selling many at moderate profit margin with the advantage of the economy of scale. This again is one of the bane of our economy.

This is just my candid assessment please; i do not intend to attack anyone and as such do not expect any attack from anyone.
