A bike man was disgraced after he was caught having anal sex with a small girl in Delta.The incident happened along Ogodo Road, Sapele.According to report,the man saw the girl along Ogodo Road and took her to Ogaga Road where he stays.He had anal sex with her.He was caught and flogged by mob.

Former Minister of Transportation and  current ministerial nominee,  Hon Rotimi Amaechi has been promoted to the highest rank in the Catholic church under the order of  the Knights of St. John

The  exemplification honour of the knights of St. John from  Grand Master,Nigerian Temple Noble and Exalted Knights of the Holy Cross Knight of St. John International was conferred on the  former ex-Transportation Minister for his services to the Order and humanity for over twenty years at the Pope John Paul II Catholic Centre  in Abuja.

While speaking, Monsignor Kenneth Enang  in charge of the Pope John II Catholic Centre explained that the promotion was premised on his support towards  the growth of the Catholic church.

"We want to thank you Knights of St John's, all the other knights, college of knights for the work you are doing for the church, for support we get from the Knights in many areas not only the financial support but the moral support.

" The Knights of St Colombo's built the seminary we have now at Kuje when cardinal Ecandem was alive and many of the Knights have built churches and handed over to the church.

"We ask God to bless you and your good works and let your labours not be in vain."

In his acceptance remarks, an elated Amaechi who is a committed Catholic and  a member of the Knights  expressed joy for the promotion.

He said,  "For our leaders, our grandmaster here present thinking that we are qualified, my friend  Collyns and Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, we are very grateful and happy for considering us worthy of this great position. Thank you and God bless you."

Sir Dr. Emeka Offor was in Daura Kastina State to inspect the ongoing renovation and furnishing of Waziri Alhassan public library in Daura Kastina State which is 98% completed. The Governor of Kastina State, Aminu Bello Masari was also on sight to inspect the life impacting project.

The Waziri Alhassan library Daura is wearing a new look, tastefully renovated and modernized with its shelves fully stacked with qualitative, educative and informative books. Computers were also supplied and fully installed along with a standby generator and borehole. The renovation, furnishing and computerizing of the library came courtesy of Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) as part of its educational intervention program in Africa. Sir Emeka Offor Foundation has given out books and computers worth over 22 million dollars to primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in Nigeria and 18 other African countries through its book distribution program. Other educational institutions in Kastina state had benefitted hugely from SEOF’s book distribution program in the past.

POLICE OPERATIVES NAB FIVE ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS IN ANAMBRA STATE

-Recovers Arms and ammunition.

-Also arrested two robbery syndicate who impersonate Police to snatch vehicles from their victims/ recovers Police uniforms and a snatched vehicle in their possession.

It would be recalled that on the 7th August, 2019 at about 6.47am, puff-adder operatives in conjunction with patrol team attached to operation kpochapu while on stop and search duty at upper iweka in Onitsha intercepted a  bus with registration number UKP- 108-ZU coming from Asaba and after a thorough search they recovered a Police Beretta pistol with breech number AO-4909Z loaded  with seven rounds of life ammunition, one expanded ammunition and Six different handsets in possession of one Sunday Onyema 'm' aged 35years of orlu in Imo State.

2. Discreet investigation by Police detectives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) further led to the arrests of five additional suspects who belonged to the same syndicate at different  locations within Orlu LGA of Imo State, Nsukka in Enugu State and Oba in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State as follows,

(i) Felix Chukwujiama m aged 33 years of Oba,Anambra State.
(ii) Oluchukwu Anyafule m aged 32 years of Oba Anambra State,
(iii) Ikechukwu Ibezim m aged 35 years of Nkwelle, Orlu,Imo State,
(iv) Ikechukwu Igwe m aged 35 years of Orlu Imo State and,
(v)  Emeka Mama m aged 34 years of Nsukka Enugu  State respectively.

3. Meanwhile, exhibits recovered from the suspects in addition to the barreta pistol ealier recovered includes,

-  One English chief revolver pistol,
- One locally made double barrel pistol,
- Five live cartridges and one .9mm live ammunition.

4. Consequently, on the 8/8/2019 at about 4:30pm,following intelligence report,Police operatives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested at Ihiala, one Hassan Abuka m aged 33 years of otukpo, Benue State fully dressed in Police camouflage uniform bearing a DSP rank and one Ismaila Ahmed 'm' aged 37 years also of Otukpo,Benue state.

5. Suspects  who specialises in impersonating Police to deceive their victims snatched a Toyota Corolla car, Reg number Lagos AGL 357 FC, from a yet to be identified victim in Lagos and were geolocated at their hideout in Anambra State.

6. Exhibits recovered in their  possession includes the snatched vehicle and additional vehicle plate number Lagos FKJ 701 FR.

7. All the Suspects have voluntarily confessed to the crime and are assisting the Police with useful information that could aid investigation after which they would be charged to court for prosecution.

The four family members that died same night in the same apartment as a result of alleged food poisoning at Amachara Agbor (Ebiri), Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State would be buried on Saturday, 17 August, 2019.

It should be recalled that the died in May,2019.

A man has killed himself by willing entering into a well where he choked to death.

The incident happened in Umunogo Street Amaokwe, Agbani Road Enugu.

According to WarriWarri reporter who visited the scene, the residents of the area said they were shocked because he was full of life and energy before his death. Nobody knows what made him enter the well.

Miss Gabriel Mercy (Anoyi) was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in front of her shop at Ankpa junction, Obu branch Otukpa, Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State.

Mercy just finished NYSC last month in Kogi State.The kidnappers forced her into their car and zoomed off.

About three boys who witnessed the scene gave the kidnappers a hot chase with motorbikes but unfortunately, they all lost their lives as they were hit by a vehicle. Their corpses have been brought to Otukpa while the kidnappers successfully left with Anoyi.

The security agencies around Kogi,Enugu and Benue zones should please look out for the kidnappers.

On the Eid prayer ground on Saturday, thugs loyal to the Jaagi village head(Etsu Yankp) attacked the Chief Imam of Jaagi town along with a number of worshipers,violently injured several people and caused lot of damage to properties.

Currently, some injured victims macheted with various degree of injuries are still at General Hospital Mokwa,Niger State undergoing treatment.
