Yes he can go to the embassy with it, police reports had 2 years validity the three months you saw is not the real validity

1. Follow the instructions on the 221g request they gave you on how and where to send your documents

2. What about your own copy they gave you at the embassy, just curious!

3. There’s no timeline to get your passport back you will only get it whenever embassy is done with your case, it could be sooner or……..

Did you receive a letter from the NVC stating that your case has been sent to the embassy, if so it is usually on the letter

My K-1 visa journey is over.

It is such a relief to be done with this process from the K-1 petition in August 2018 up until the naturalization ceremony in May 2024.

It has been a very fruitful 5+ year. I can confidently say taking this step is one of the best decisions I have made in my entire life. God has been super faithful. It is worth the wait.

Thank God this is finally over.

So, guys, keep pushing and keeping on. The end is far greater than the beginning.

You have to wait to receive notification from the embassy to proceed to scheduling a date whenever it is available that’s the new procedure no trick but in the interim make sure you join the WhatsApp group of ppl waiting for dates to be rolled out so that you can be among the next group

I want to start my fiancee k1 visa and I will need support of my guru in the house.

I met my woman last 2 month and we have seen in person twice, she used to drive from Detroit USA border enter Canada through Windsor border. We are planning for my birthday next month and shes also coming over to celebrate with me at Niagara fall.

I dont want to risk B1/B2 visa because the success rate is low and our best visa to apply for is k1.

Please where can I start from and what form we need to fill now.

Not USA related but definitely similar from the topics i see in this group as it is for a different country. So apologies to derail a bit. I and my gf are not planning on getting married yet officially but in 2026 we will. However I need to provide one of the below requirements:

One of the following:
-A photocopy of your common law certificate
-A notarised affidavit from you confirming that you and your spouse are in a common-law relationship under your home country’s laws
-Letter .from the embassy which confirmed that you and your partner are considered to be in a common-law relationship under their law

What kind of doc can I provide in this regard that says common law relationship.

First of all each relationship is different so you guys are the ones that will sit down and look at things and make a decision whether you will go for K1 or CR1. But i prefer spousal visa than fiance visa. Like i said it is a personal thing.
Secondly you have to be a A - student of usa immigrant process. All you need is right here on the internet. With Google you will learn alot about the process. Infact if you will spend some time to research about the process, timeframe, what to file and how to file those form, you won't need a lawyer to help you on anything. Then if you have questions on something that you aren't clear about people can help you with it. Nobody will start to spoon feed you on basic thing.
