The nobody that wont bother to differentiate is not a person that acts based on facts. You don’t need to explicitly say something to imply it. The ground work has already been set. Twitter was far left and now X is far right in its agenda. That’s pretty obvious to anyone using the platform without tinted eyewear 🥽

Musk spoke against DEI, but said nothing about legacy admits/hires, so is he against certain types of favoritisms or against all forms of favoritisms? I get why Asians would want pure merit based systems, and it's probably the right thing to do, but I get the idea behind DEI, as long as the persons getting in via DEI meet certain minimum standards and it's not being abused, I think it's beneficial long term for everyone.

She has been convicted and was sentenced to one year imprisonment with the option of N100,000.00 fine .

Omo! the fine for killing somebody due to professional negligence no even pass 67 dollars 🤦‍♂️( at the rate of N1,500/ 1$)

That was the criminal case I believe. It is usually difficult to prosecute those cases even in developed countries and convictions are even more difficult because the burden of proof is so high.

I don’t know what the situation is with the Nigerian civil law code, but the best resort is usually for the family to file a civil suit asking for compensation and punitive damages from the doctor.

Maybe u are right doc ,I just feel when a life is lost due to professional negligence one year prison sentence with option of fine less than $100 is a slap on the wrist considering the gravity of the matter .

I guess the key takeaway from all of this is that let one be careful about some of these life changing decisions . The victim of the botch surgery is dead and gone now, she only left her family members with grieve that won’t leave them soon even with this so called “justice “ at the courts
