I asked you if the Carter bridge was perfect before they constructed 3rd mainland
Was 1st Niger bridge perfect before they constructed 2nd Niger bridge

You have not responded

Was Carter bridge begging for repairs with people spending days on it before crossing over?

Imagine a road that was conceptualised over 65 years ago just taking off now that Nigeria is broke according to you......Don't you see the irony?

A road that was conceptualized 65yrs ago is being done now because the current govt is responsive and sees the potential for development that road has that was seen 65yrs ago but ignored

You will think every other federal road in this country is in the best condition with the way they are going about this coastal road.

The question you should be asking based on your reasoning above is that was Carter Bridge in the best condition when 3rd mainland bridge was being constructed? And the answer is NO

A responsive government will repair the existing deplorable ones before embarking on a new different road.

That means there are no responsible govt in any country in the world because in every country with new road construction there are deplorable old ones in existence

Its the same naysayers who swore that the railway will never work

Now shame no gree them again, Now na coastal road
Anybody talking against spending 1 trillion naira on 1 coastal road, is probably doing so because they know the money would be better spent fixing existing major roads that are in very bad condition. Nigeria is broke remember, that road will not be completed in 8 years and might even be abandoned by the next Govt.....

Was Carter bridge ever in the deplorable conditions of present roads like Bida - lambata road, Benin - Auchi,Abeokuta - Sango Otta road,oyo- ibadan expressway,iwo- ibadan before the government went on to construct a new bridge?

Infrastructures are important which is why many govt borrow to build them

Its infrastructure that economic growth relies on. And economic growth is what will save the country from being broke

Was Carter bridge in the best condition when 3rd mainland was built? Is that not the question you were asking earlier?

Show me a 33km road in the country you live that takes 3hours to drive through due to bad roads. Then i will know there are no responsible governments anywhere in the world.

Were all the roads in best condition (which was your criteria) before they built new ones?

Carter bridge was not begging for repairs while the government looked the other way to construct 3rd mainland bridge.

So Lagos/Calabar coastal road is more enomomically viable to Attan/Sango Ota road at this time? Or the Sagamu/Benin road? Or any of the existing major Federal Govt road in deplorable condition across the Country? Is borrowing and spending 15 trillion naira on 1 coastal road what Nigeria need at this time? I am sure you were one of those that said Ebonyi State International Airport built by Umahi was a white elephant project, cos it serves no major economic value to the State. Buhari borrowed Nigeria future away, yet Lagos/Calabar rail line was not completed in 8 years, and probably abandoned now for a 15 trillion naira coastal road.

15 trillion naira to build 1 road that will most likely not be completed in 8 years, Nigeria is broke but magically have 15 trillion naira to build just one road.

yep I'm correct 15 trillion naira for road, with dollars fluctuating as years goes by the project will gulp more money which they don't have all at hand currently,I smell white elephant over this whole thing but what do I know.

I'm an enemy(wailer) of Nigeria,so I will sit this one out.

Some people were saying ivory coast is a useless country on this thread a while back, I've been trying to remember the persons involved but I have given up. I was in ivory coast last week, tbh it's more developed than Nigeria 💯. Things might be more costly, but you get what you pay for. You'd never regret your stay there.

For someone like him that claims to be from Ogbomoso should be the last person supporting the decision of the FG to construct an entire new road when Ogbomoso-Oyo expressway is taking eternity to complete.
