Education / The Evolution And Future Of Studies And Researches In Saudi Arabia by ahmednadi: 11:43am |
In recent years, Saudi Arabia https://suregaze.com/ has undergone a significant transformation in its approach to education, studies, and research. This change is a part of the broader Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to diversify the economy, reduce dependence on oil, and transform the Kingdom into a global hub for various sectors, including education and research. This article explores the evolution, current state, and future prospects of studies and research in Saudi Arabia. Historical Context Historically, the educational system in Saudi Arabia has been heavily influenced by religious studies, with a strong emphasis on Islamic education. However, over the past few decades, there has been a concerted effort to modernize the education system and incorporate a broader range of subjects, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The establishment of King Saud University in 1957 marked a significant milestone in the Kingdom's higher education landscape. It was the first university in Saudi Arabia and has since played a pivotal role in promoting higher education and research in the country. Following this, several other universities were established, each contributing to the growing emphasis on research and innovation. Vision 2030 and its Impact on Research Vision 2030, launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is a strategic framework aimed at reducing Saudi Arabia's dependence on oil and transforming various sectors, including education. One of the key pillars of Vision 2030 is to enhance the quality of education and promote research and innovation. Investment in Education and Research As part of Vision 2030, the Saudi government has made substantial investments in the education sector. This includes the establishment of new universities, the expansion of existing institutions, and the development of research centers. The aim is to create a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation and research. One of the flagship projects under Vision 2030 is the establishment of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). KAUST is a graduate-level research university that focuses on science and technology. It has state-of-the-art facilities and attracts researchers from around the world. The university aims to address global challenges through research in areas such as energy, water, food, and the environment. International Collaboration Another important aspect of Vision 2030 is fostering international collaboration in education and research. Saudi universities are encouraged to establish partnerships with leading international institutions. This includes joint research projects, student and faculty exchange programs, and collaborative degrees. These partnerships not only enhance the quality of research but also provide Saudi students and researchers with exposure to global best practices. Current State of Studies and Research The current state of studies and research in Saudi Arabia is characterized by a strong emphasis on STEM subjects, significant government investment, and increasing international collaboration. STEM Education STEM education has become a focal point in Saudi Arabia's educational reforms. The government recognizes the importance of science and technology in driving economic growth and innovation. As a result, there has been a concerted effort to promote STEM subjects at all levels of education. Research Funding and Grants The Saudi government provides substantial funding and grants for research projects. These funds are aimed at promoting innovation and addressing key challenges faced by the country. For example, the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) is a national research institution that provides funding and support for scientific research and technological development. Women in Research In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the participation of women in higher education and research in Saudi Arabia. Vision 2030 emphasizes the empowerment of women and their inclusion in all sectors of society. As a result, more women are pursuing higher education and careers in research. Universities and research institutions are also providing more opportunities for women to engage in scientific research. Challenges and Opportunities While there has been significant progress in the field of studies and research in Saudi Arabia, there are still several challenges that need to be addressed. Quality of Education One of the key challenges is improving the quality of education at all levels. While there has been substantial investment in infrastructure and facilities, there is a need to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. This includes training teachers, updating curricula, and adopting modern teaching methods. Research Culture Another challenge is building a strong research culture. While there are several research institutions and funding opportunities, there is a need to foster a culture of innovation and inquiry. This includes encouraging students and researchers to pursue original research and providing them with the necessary resources and support. Bridging the Gap between Academia and Industry There is also a need to bridge the gap between academia and industry. While there is a growing emphasis on research and innovation, it is important to ensure that research outcomes are translated into practical applications. This requires stronger collaboration between universities, research institutions, and industry. Future Prospects The future of studies and research in Saudi Arabia looks promising, driven by the ambitious goals of Vision 2030 and the Kingdom's commitment to transforming its education sector. Innovation Hubs and Research Parks The establishment of innovation hubs and research parks is expected to play a crucial role in the future of research in Saudi Arabia. These hubs will provide a conducive environment for researchers, entrepreneurs, and startups to collaborate and innovate. For example, the KAUST Research and Technology Park is designed to facilitate collaboration between academia and industry, promoting the commercialization of research outcomes. Focus on Emerging Technologies The future of research in Saudi Arabia will also be shaped by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and renewable energy. The government is keen to position the Kingdom as a leader in these fields, and substantial investments are being made to support research and development in these areas. Sustainable Development Goals Saudi Arabia is also committed to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Research in areas such as sustainable energy, water conservation, and environmental protection will be crucial in achieving these goals. The government is encouraging research that addresses these global challenges and contributes to sustainable development. Conclusion Saudi Arabia is on a transformative journey to become a global hub for education and research. The ambitious Vision 2030 initiative has set the stage for significant advancements in the field of studies and research. With substantial government investment, international collaboration, and a strong emphasis on STEM education, the future looks bright for research in the Kingdom. However, addressing challenges such as improving the quality of education, fostering a research culture, and bridging the gap between academia and industry will be crucial in realizing this vision. As Saudi Arabia continues to evolve, its commitment to research and innovation will play a key role in shaping a knowledge-based economy and driving sustainable development.

Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by OyoTunjiUSA(m): 11:43am |
Tomison: Hey 🤠 @Tomison. 1. Number one erase the thought that your previous F1-VISA visa was denied as a result of low funds (perhaps your agent or friends gave you the impression). Lack of ability to show proof of funds "POF " might contributed to that denial but no one can authoritatively say that until we read your visa transcripts because USA 214b rejection slip does not point to rejection reasons. 2. Let's assume that you secured 100% scholarship / fundings on your last visa attempt, you will still need to pass the remaining F1-VISA requirements like , ties to Nigeria, your plans after graduation, the genuineness of your study , applying to SEVP approved school among others. 3. Again, let's assume that your dad is a State governor who is capable of paying 10 times of your school fees ( same situation as if you have 100% fundings ) , you must still stand in front of that consular and satisfy other requirements i listed in sense 2 above. 4. Now , if you are from a very very humble background , yes you need scholarship and fundings in order to help you clear the aspect of Proof of Funds (that's even if the fundings is 100%) " Not in order to help you get Automatic VISA. And your question should be " who can guide me into securing USA University fundings in the department of Economics etc. 5. By stating your desired department (let's assume Economics) means you have educational focus , you will not go and apply to Miami University department of History all because they offers 100% fundings. Those who want to enter America and run away may choose that route but they are not usually successful. 6. In your case, if you cannot get fundings then approach a family member who can provide a bank statement in the tune of your 1st year tuition and send to your Host-University for your Form-120 and take the original copy of the bank statement along to your visa interview. 7. The summary is : lack of fundings is just a little part of your denial reasons. There are other areas like , ties, goals, program of study, kind of sch you applied to , your communication skills , etc. Best Wishes 🙏 |

Politics / Is Nigeria Heading The Right Direction? by Shegunsmart(m): 11:42am |
Is Nigeria heading the right direction? According to a recent survey conducted by the Africa Polling Institute, a staggering majority of Nigerians across the country believe their nation is headed in the wrong direction. The survey results paint a bleak picture, with the South East region leading the way, where a unanimous 100% of respondents expressed this view. Closely behind is the South South region, with 98% sharing the sentiment that the country is on the wrong path. Moving further north, the level of discontent appears to be slightly lower, but still alarmingly high. In the North East, 87% of those surveyed believe Nigeria is heading in the wrong direction, while in the North Central region, the figure stands at 81%. The South West region shows a relatively lower, but still significant, level of dissatisfaction, with 75% of respondents sharing the same concerns. The lowest, yet still substantial, level of pessimism is found in the North West region, where 63% of the people believe their country is headed in the wrong direction. These findings may not exhaustive, comprehensive or a completely true reflection of state of things. However, it provide a sobering insight into the collective sentiment of the Nigerian populace and the urgent need for decisive action to address the underlying issues that have led to such widespread discontent, by all stakeholders, especially the ruling class, politicians and governments at all levels. PERCENTAGE OF NIGERIANS THAT BELIEVE THE COUNTRY IS HEADING TOWARDS WRONG DIRECTION South East — 100% South South — 98% North East — 87% North Central — 81% South West — 75% North West — 63% #Statisense (Africa Polling Institute) |

Imagine a student who scores E in a course will be boasting to someone that scored D in a course when both of them are just there. As far as the world is concerned, Nigeria is a shithole. Wole Soyinka is not educated in his mind and heart like Nelson Mandela espoused, he is only educated in his brain hence his stupid outbursts from time to time. |

JagabanB:I cannot think or see any reason to call Mr Peter obi a disaster, this man governed a state for 8 years and did not owe salary, pension, gratuity,no supplier or contractor was owned, refurbished all hospitals in anambra state with ambulances, refurbished all schools with boreholes soundproof generators, vsat computers and school buses, built hundreds of kilometers of good roads with drainage and the day he handed over he left the staggering sum of #75 billion naira for the incoming government, and he challenged Nigerians on national television that if anyone can bring proof of money stolen by him or any piece of government land allocated to him that he will stop campaign,up till today nobody has answered that call, even the list the EFCC made of any past governors and the amount they looted his name was not on the list, iit is only tribal bigotry that will make you hate this man. |
