Quick tip for anyone entering PKO: don't sleep on the by-products. The palm kernel cake left after extraction sells well as animal feed, and that side income is often what keeps small processors afloat in slow months. Also know your buyer before you produce, soap makers, cosmetics people and food buyers all want slightly different quality, and PKO is not the same market as red palm oil.
