it is no longer news we have a huge deficit when it comes to cattle rearing for beef and milk that it doesn't meet the demand in the open market.

one of the major challenges also is the belief that the pastoralists are the only ones entitled to the rearing of animals, this has been a menace ravaging the Nigerian cattle industry. cross-breeding has been identified as the way forward. the crossing of our local cattle and foreign cattle has been identified and also tested to be the answer to meeting the demand for fresh milk and good meat cattle in lesser time. the introduction of artificial insemination has ensured there is a great achievement with this breakthrough.

crossing the sokoto gudali cow with Frisian bull semen will give you an improved local breed with good milk yield.
crossing the sokoto gudali with a Simmental bull semen will give you an improved local breed with good meat gain size in a lesser period.
