Year 2024 as been pose a lot of serious business challenges which as caused many small and big companies to fold up and reduced their scale of production ,this can be attributed to the recent floatation of naira and devaluation of our local currencies and his single policy as wiped away the gains of major companies .

On the contrary ,major oil palm companies in Nigeria such as Presco and okomu declared billions of naira in profit in the first quarter and second quarter of this year due to sudden increase in the price of refined vegetable oil and palm oil .they were able to achieve this while companies in other sectors were declaring loss due to floatation of naira which as wipe away the gains of many companies .. I do not know about GB palm plantation but I am optimistic that the man will also make good returns this year knowing fully well that is counterpart companies make huge returns .

According to Nairametric Presco recorded the highest revenue at N88 billion in the first half of 2024, representing an 83% year-over-year increase from N48 billion in the previous year. Okomu Oil also saw a substantial revenue increase, with an 84% year-over-year growth, rising from N40 billion in 2023 to N75 billion in 2024.The reasons for this success recorded by these big companies is far fetched ; it is only oil palm tree that offers 3 varieties of product such as palm oil ,palm kernel oil and PKC ,this 3 derivative product from a single tree are known to have high local and international market value and when you consider the present exchange rate then you will realize any company or individual that has oil palm plantation that runs into thousands of hectares will definitely be declaring such tremendous profit amidst present economic downfall of many companies in other sectors .
