Found 1-day Old Stranded Chickens In My Frontage, What Can I Feed Them? by finnestdope(op): 10:44pm On Dec 12, 2024

So, I woke up this morning hearing chickens whirlings and when I opened the front door, I found about 8 chickens. When I looked around, I discovered there were hatched eggs just beside my front veranda.

Well, I just brought them together and left for work. Came back and my woman said the mother hen came and took only two. Now, I'm left with about 7 of them. Lol.

What can I feed them please. Can't let them die off.

Have you asked your neighbours if any of them owns the chickens?

I don't know the exact number jharre, I think they were about 9 in the morning when I was leaving to work, but right now, it's 7 remaining.

Like I said, I heard the mother hen came and took 2 with her.

Crushed maize grains would do. Later you can buy chicken feed.

And nothing should happen to them on 25th.

Yes, no one laid claims to them. Reason why I had to take them inside to at least keep them warm.

Garri is fine, u can break the rice into bits

Once the chicks are strong enough to roam around, I will release them. I'm not a poultry farmer.

Go to any poultry store and buy one mudu or one painter of starter. It won't cost you any serious money and it will last for a long time.
