There are several main methods to make cow dung into fertiliser: I. Composting method First of all, choose a suitable site for composting, preferably a place with high ground, good ventilation and where water will not accumulate. Pile up the cow dung, the height is generally about 1 - 1.5 metres. In order to adjust the carbon and nitrogen ratio, you can add some straw, weeds and other carbon-rich materials, usually a better mix of cow dung and straw at a ratio of 3:1. During the composting process, the compost should be turned regularly, usually every 7 - 10 days, which can increase the oxygen content in the compost and promote the decomposition activities of microorganisms. After about 2 - 3 months of composting, the cow dung will become dark brown, soft texture fertiliser. Composting This can be done in a sealed container or composting pond. Put the cow dung into it, add appropriate amount of water to let the cow dung soak completely, and then add some microbial fermentation agents such as EM bacteria, which can accelerate the fermentation speed. During the composting process, be careful to seal the container or pool to avoid odour emission. After 1 - 2 months of composting, cow dung can be used as high quality organic fertiliser for farmland. https://huaxinmachinery.com/methods-of-cow-manure-for-fertilizer/ |
