Prices of foodstuff and other agricultural commodities have reduced sharply in the northeastern part of Nigeria.

This follows bumper harvests recorded across all the 6 states, particularly in Adamawa, Borno Taraba, and Yobe States.

This is the largest geopolitical zone in Nigeria, covering about one-third of the country’s entire land area.

Among the reasons for the bumper harvests is the support provided to farmers by Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, which include farm inputs, free transportation, and protection by Agro-Rangers.

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State also supported farmers with ample supply of farm inputs and provision of tractors.

Story from APC's table of lies.... Una go tire...

Do we have any Nairalanders living in any of the 6 northeastern states?

Please confirm if this story is true or just a figment of someone's wild imagination.

If true, it would be a really positive development.

I actually went out to check some items at a nearby supermarket today, and was pleasantly surprised!

For example, the 1 kg bag of Golden Penny garri (pictured) that used to sell for N3,800 is now N2,000.

Quite a surprise indeed.

How I wish this price reduction does not just end on Nairaland. We want this reduction in other places too where people actually live

The price reduction is for real, i base in zaria
