Like the saying goes, there is money in sh*t business. Snail shells have been considered waste for a long time, but you will change your mind after listening to Mrs. Ajoke, a snail farmer in Oyo State, who is processing snail shells into calcium and making more money from it than she makes from her snail meat business. She feeds the calcium to her snails, sells it to other snail farmers, poultry owners, cleaning companies, among others Besides making good money from this, she has also helped to tackle the snail shell environmental challenge in Oyo state by clearing over 50,000 snail shells from the landfill. Now, the interesting thing is that she seems to be the only one doing this business; hopefully, before it gets saturated, some will be smart enough to join. This should be her hidden secret. I trust Nigerians. People will soon invest in the business and knock her off the top spot. Hmn. |
