Is your cryogenic storage tank guzzling liquid nitrogen? The prime suspect (60%+ cases!) is vacuum layer failure. First, replace seals and retest evaporation. If that fails, contact the manufacturer for a vacuum check (repairs cost 30-50% of a new tank). Surface frost covering >20% of the tank? This likely means vacuum breach – stop use immediately. Temporarily wipe the moisture dry and move to ventilation. For stuck samples, avoid oil; lubricate corroded bucket latches with silicone grease instead.
