Just as the topic says. I have heard people say ones land should be close to a small community and be inside or shouldn’t be very visible to people. I would like more insight on this before I make a decision on getting a farmland.

Also, for people that live in Lagos and have farms in Oyo, how do you manage the distance? There must be some things one would plant that will require much supervision, how do you deal with this?

A roadside farm is not a private venture... it's a community project....at least for a country like ours where pilfering and stealing is seen as smartness.

Don't get me wrong. Those with farms in the inner part of the community also have to deal with human and animal pest, but the ones by the roadside have a bigger problem.

I don't have a farm in Ibadan so I won't be able to speak to managing one's farm from another state.

There is an adage that says: A man that planted by the roadside and the one that married a beautiful wife have the same problem.

Hmn. Why don't you get calabashes and bottles , pour chicken blood into them and tie red clothes around them and tie them to sticks or poles around your farm? Look for a dead cow's skull and tie red cloth around it and place it at the entrance of your farm. Shikena smiley. The fear of juju is respected than God in this nation.
