Role Objective
To research, provide insights and establish contacts for Bamboo-based value-added products on a small scale.

Key Responsibilities
1. Bamboo Farming Research & Setup
o Study best practices for bamboo farming in Nigeria (planting methods, spacing, soil requirements, irrigation).

2. Product Research & Development
o Investigate all potential Bamboo product lines
o Identify required equipment, inputs, and processes for each product.

3. Supply Chain & Sourcing
o Source raw materials

4. Market Validation
o Identify pricing and demand.
o Collect customer feedback.

5. Reporting & Documentation
o Provide weekly reports.
o Build a database of suppliers, buyers, and product recipes/formulas.

6. Training & Knowledge Transfer
o Train and Document step-by-step guides for small-scale processing techniques.

Job Requirements
• Location: Must live in (or be willing to relocate to) a major Bamboo-producing area (e.g., Oyo, Ogun, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Taraba, Kaduna, or other bamboo-producing states).
• Experience:
o Hands-on knowledge of Bamboo farming and/or processing.
o Prior work in agro-processing, cooperative groups, or rural enterprise is an advantage.
• Skills:
o Practical problem-solving and “hands-on” skills (can experiment, improvise, and innovate).
o Basic business understanding (costing, sales, market testing).
o Ability to work independently with little supervision.
o Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Attitude:
o Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, and curious.
o Willing to get their hands dirty in both manual and technical tasks.

Salary and Expectations
• N200,000 a month
• No office work. Field job only, hence living near Bamboo farmers and processors is key
