How Many Oil Palm Bunches Produce One Litre of Oil?

At Optimistic Farms, we believe investors and consumers deserve clear, science-based information about agricultural productivity. When it comes to oil palm, one of Africa’s most profitable plantation crops, the numbers are impressive.

A single fresh fruit bunch (FFB) of oil palm weighs between 15–30 kg. With efficient processing, 1 litre of crude palm oil comes from just 5–6 kg of fresh fruits.
This means:

✅ One oil palm bunch can produce 3–6 litres of palm oil

(depending on variety, ripeness, and extraction method).

Because we cultivate high-yield Tenera varieties and follow best harvest practices, our extraction efficiency remains consistently high. This gives our investors better returns and our customers premium-quality palm oil.

At Optimistic Farms, we don’t just grow crops, we grow wealth, sustainability, and the future of Agro investment in Africa.
