If I could go back and change one thing in my business journey, it would be this.

This one mistake cost me time, money, and sleepless nights—but it doesn’t have to cost you

Today, I’m sharing the lesson that changed my career—and how you can avoid it


When I started my business, I was all in. Late nights, big dreams, and a ‘hustle at all costs’ mentality.

I thought I was unstoppable—until I realized I was making one critical mistake.

And it wasn’t about money, marketing, or even strategy.

It was about this. I thought I had to do EVERYTHING myself.

I was the marketer, the graphic designer, the video editor, the customer service rep.

I was so scared of losing control that I didn’t realize I was losing myself. I was barely surviving.

And every night I will always feel burnt out. I didn’t even see it coming.

I was too busy ‘hustling’ to notice I was drowning.

Until one day, my mentor asked me a life-changing question:

He asked me: what’s the one thing only YOU can do?

That question opened my eye

I realized I was wasting my time on tasks that someone or something else could handle—tasks that were keeping me from focusing on what truly mattered: GROWING THE BUSINESS

From that day, I started delegating any task that someone or something else can do so I can have time to focus on the top 4% that will move my business forward.

And guess what? That was when I started getting real result in my business

Here are 3 key things I learned from that experience

1️⃣ Delegate: You can’t do it all.

Hire, outsource, or AUTOMATE the tasks that don’t require your unique skills.

2️⃣ Focus: Spend your time on the things that ONLY YOU can do—the things that move the needle.

3️⃣ Grow: When you stop being a ‘doer’ and start being a leader, your business will skyrocket.

Remember, you’re not just building a business—you’re building a life.

UNDERSTANDING LCS

Letter of credits are international instruments of payment. They are like using cheque to pay for goods internationally

We have various types of letter of credits but the most common are:-

 Confirmed LC
 Unconfirmed LC
 Irrevocable LC
 Confirmed irrevocable LC

Now the payment time this LC kicks in can be LC at sight, LC at 30 days after shipment, 60 days after shipment etc.

All LCs are like documents stating the terms and conditions of payment and description and qty of goods to be paid for that's why it's also called DLC - documentary letter of credit

LCs also have expiry date just like cheques and bank drafts within which you must ship goods or it’s cancelled.

Confirmed LC is like bank draft which means your bank has confirmed the LC and money is sitting in the buyers account.

Unconfirmed LC means the opposite of confirmed LC irrevocable means LC cannot be cancelled without sellers permission after it has being issued
