Lagos Agripreneurship Programme also known as Lagos Agripreneurship Programme (LAP), Lagos Agripreneurship Program, Lagos State Agripreneurship Programme, or simply Agripreneurship Programme is an intervention programme aimed at training youths in modern agricultural practices to demonstrate the possibilities in the Food Systems using training, internship, and mentorship platforms. Lagos Agripreneurship Programme is in line with the duty of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems in the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Developmental Agenda of the State Government which includes Capacity Building, Employment Generation, and promotion of Food Security, among others.

Lagos Agripreneurship Programme is a one-month training program in:

1. Poultry
2. Piggery
3. Aquaculture
4. Vegetable Value Chains
5. E-Agric
6.Agribusiness

Lagos Agripreneurship Programme will be held at Agricultural Training Institute, Araga, Epe. After the Lagos Agripreneurship Programme, participants will undergo a three (3) month Internship and Mentorship phase with select commercial farms in their chosen value chains.
After the Lagos Agripreneurship Programme participants will take an assessment will be conducted to assess the participant’s level of comprehension and also serve as the basis for a reward system to compensate for hard work.

Benefits of Lagos Agripreneurship Programme

The following are benefits of Lagos Agripreneurship Programme:

1. Participants of the Lagos Agripreneurship Programme will receive a transport stipend of ₦15,000 upon completion of the training phase.

2. Government will provide a monthly stipend of ₦20,000 to participants of Lagos Agripreneurship Programme during the three-month Internship and mentorship phase.

3. Participants of the Lagos Agripreneurship Programme will undergo enterprise activation.

4. Lagos Agripreneurship Programme establishes a network of trained agripreneurs.

5. Lagos Agripreneurship Programme equips youths with agribusiness skills, fostering a new generation of agripreneurs.

6. Lagos Agripreneurship Programme reduces unemployment and poverty by offering viable career opportunities in agriculture.

Requirements for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme

The following are requirements for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme:

1. Candidates applying for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme should have a minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate.

2. Candidates applying for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme should have a satisfactory physical/health condition.

3. Candidates applying for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme should be between the ages of 18 years to 30 years old.

4. Candidates applying for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme should have LASRRA Number.

How To Apply for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme

1. Interested, eligible and qualified applicants are required to visit the application portal for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme at https://lapapplication.com/ati.php to fill out the online application form.

2. Candidates applying for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme should follow the online instructions on filling the Lagos Agripreneurship Programme Registration and upload required documents (LASRRA Card of Candidate and Academic Credentials)

3. Candidates applying for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme are advised to take pictures of the above mentioned documents and store on their mobile Phones, Tablets or Laptop/Desktop computers prior to accessing the registration portal. This is for the ease of uploading the documents on request.

4. Candidates applying for Lagos Agripreneurship Programme are expected to fill in all required details as failing to do so would render their application incomplete.

5. Shortlisted candidates will be notified through text to attempt an online Aptitude Test on dates to be slated for each month.
