Governor Hyacinth Alia has officially flagged off the 2026 Fertilizer and Farm Inputs Distribution Exercise in Benue State, announcing a major 51% subsidy that brings the price of fertilizer down to ₦28,000 per bag for farmers across the state. The Governor said the move is aimed at empowering farmers, reducing production costs, boosting food production, and strengthening rural economies. He also reaffirmed that the programme will cover all 23 Local Government Areas, with strict monitoring to ensure transparency and prevent diversion of farm inputs. Benue farmers are encouraged to take full advantage of the initiative as the state continues its drive to strengthen agriculture and food security. https://benuenews.com/news/governor-alia-flags-off-fertilizer-distribution/
