Current stage of farm activity:

Ring Weeding (1m clearance) — A 1-metre ring is being cleared around each sucker to prevent nutrient sharing between plants. This is standard best practice in banana and plantain cultivation, ensuring every sucker gets the full benefit of the soil’s nutrients without competition.

Herbicide Fumigation — Targeted fumigation is ongoing to eliminate weeds and protect the growing plants from early-stage threats. This keeps the farm clean, the suckers strong, and the yield timeline on track.
