After 23years of living separately from the father of three of her children, Queen Salawa Abeni has said, God should be the judge of whatever bad Kollington Ayinla has done to her. She made the statement recently at the Annual London African Music Festival. In her words “Even though Kollington and I have gone our separate ways 23 years ago, I still consider him a big part of my life because I bore him children who bear his name. His name will forever be written in the history of my life. Though we do not have a smooth relationship, and I have been solely responsible for the upbringing of my children up to university level, I still maintain the fact that he is http://www.letdemknw..com/2013/09/let-god-be-judge-between-me-and.html

Dear Luis, Welcome back. It's been a while. The season is already in full swing but English football will be all the richer for your return. You have made it very clear you feel persecuted in this country but you should know that we have missed you. Well, we have missed some of you. We have missed Suarez the footballer. A footballer of extraordinary talent. We have missed your astonishing skill, your ruthless will to win, your commitment to the tackle, your competitive edge, your obsessive love of scoring, your determination to fight for the cause, your skill, your pace, your power. We have missed your ability to change a game with a single, mazey run, your ability to trap a ball with the lace of your boot, to land a ball at the foot of a team-mate, seemingly at any pace and at any angle. But we haven't missed what comes with all that. We understand that a competitive professional will sometimes push the boundaries of fair play but your http://www.letdemknw..co.uk/2013/09/an-open-letter-to-suarez-welcome-back.html?m=1

A crisis may be looming at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, Ojere, Abeokuta in the western Nigerian state of Ogun as the lecturers kicked against the appointment of a new rector for the school, by Governor Ibikunle Amosun. The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) of the school, accused the State government of not following due process. The State government had last week appointed Prof. Bamidele Adelanwa Itiola as the substantive Rector, following claims that the immediate past Rector, Arch. Tokunbo Fowode had written to the State government requesting to embark on terminal leave. Fowode's appointment was billed to end next year February. The ASUP in a communique signed by the Chairman, Olawale Adetunji and Publicity Secretary, Oyerinde Abiola, noted that, "only the Governing Council of the Polytechnic that is saddled by the edict establishing the Polytechnic to handle the appointment of a Rector. "That there is an existing agreement between the Union and the Government, that rectors shall only be appointed for the polytechnic from within the Polytechnic sector. That contrary to the establishment procedure, there was no advertisement requesting application for the post of the rector; nor was there any appointment interview". The Polytechnic lecturers further observed that it is the aspiration of every worker to attain the apex of his/her career and it is the desire of every academics in the Polytechnic sector to become rector one day, adding "National policy on Education clearly shows that operation of the polytechnic sector differs from that http://www.letdemknw..co.uk/2013/09/mapoly-lecturers-reject-new-rector.html?m=1

Arsenal on Monday reported a rise in turnover to £242.8 million ($389 million, 288 million euros) as the Gunners claimed their improved finances was a significant factor in the club record signing of Mesut Ozil. Despite reduced profits due to a drop in income from player sales and an increase in players’ wages, Arsenal saw overall turnover rise in the year ending May 31 2013 from £235.3 million the previous year. Commercial and retail revenue rose 20 percent to £62 million, boosted by the new sponsorship deal with Emirates airline, and Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis said the club’s strong financial position meant they are now able to compete for the likes of Germany playmaker Ozil, who cost £42.5 million to http://www.letdemknw..co.uk/2013/09/arsenal-announce-2428m-turnover.html?m=1

Paolo Di Canio's dismissal as Sunderland manager brings to a close one of the most colourful chapters in both the history of the club and the Premier League. But the fiery Italian is by no means the first boss to bring madness to a football club. Sportsmail has picked nine other crazy, crazy reigns from the English game, the perfect examples of how not to be a football manager. 10) Steve Coppell (Manchester City) October 1996-November 1996 After Manchester City dropped out of the Premier League in the summer of 1996, Alan Ball was shown the door. It took the Maine Road club six weeks to appoint Steve Coppell as his replacement - and then 33 days to lose him. After his first match in charge, Coppell uttered what was thought to be a throwaway remark: 'They call Manchester Madchester... and now I know why.' Just over a month later, with City languishing 17th in Division One, he resigned from the post, having been overwhelmed by the stress of his responsibilities.
