4 MONTHS AGO, DUE TO AN UNFORESEEN...

There's this neighbor of mine who is into furniture making.

He loves his work and is very passionate about it. He started his business in the year 2016 and named it "Hand of God furniture’s”

Six months into the business, his friend advised him to register it but he refused. He said it was too expensive and that he wanted to get supplies to make more furniture.
He kept finding reasons to procrastinate it.

Five years after, He has gotten over five furniture shops, with lots of customers, he built his brand, and made huge banners with a name he has failed to register on it.

He even went as far as using social media handles to market his business.

Four months ago, due to an unforeseen circumstance, his business took a huge hit, and he was in desperate need of financial support.

Fortunately for him, last month the federal government made an announcement about a loan, but the proof that you are in business is your CAC Certificate.

He was elated at the news, but at the same time worried because he didn't have a CAC certificate.

His friend introduced him to me, telling him that I am affordable and efficient. So I started his company registration.

After a thorough name search, we found out that the name been registered by another.

I told Mr. Hakim to pick another name because his proposed name was not approved. He was appalled and sad.

In his own words he said “But I have been running this business with that name for five years now.

It was given to me by God in a revelation, how do you expect me to start using a different name?

I have furniture shops all over the city, my customers are already used to it. if I start using a different name, I could lose them”.

You see as much as I would have loved to give him back that name, there was nothing else I could do. He has to pick a different name and register it.
