The CEO of Golden Boy Entertainment, Patrick Anyaene has revealed how DMW boss, Davido cheated him on the signing of singer, Peruzzi to the latter’s label.
According to Patrick, Peruzzi was signed to Golden Boy entertainment back in 2017 before the singer breached his contract to jump on board with Davido.
In his interview with Punch newspaper, Patrick said;
“I don’t have problems with Davido; I have issues with Peruzzi, my artiste. All the songs Davido released since last year November are my records. They are my records because those songs were written by my artiste. Songs like Fia, Ada, Mind by DMW, Aje by DMW and other songs they might be working on now are all the property of Golden Boy Entertainment.”
“Peruzzi has been going for shows and getting paid; I have been patient with them since November. I am unhappy because I have not been settled. As a businessman, when you invest money in an individual, you expect a return.”
“Davido has given Peruzzi some guts to do whatever he likes; he has forgotten that he signed a contract with me and I have lawyers on the case.”
“Peruzzi started working with me in 2016 and I was paying him salary. I officially signed him in 2017 for a three-year contract. He has breached a contract and he is an ingrate,” he lamented.
Patrick further revealed he working on tackling the issue in court.

An Abuja High Court has fixed 8th August, 2018 for Runtown to appear before it and give reasons why he went against a court injunction made on 10th May, 2018.
A statement by Eric Many reads;
‘’Recall that we served a Contempt Warning from Court on Runtown on 4th July, 2018 after he defied Court Order and released a song.
Rather than heed the Contempt Warning and retrace his steps, he issued a Press Release in which he argued that the Injunction had expired.
The Injunction was to stop things until the hearing of our Motion seeking to freeze activities until a decision on his status (whether he had discharged his obligations to us or not) is taken. It barred him from performing or releasing songs for the time being’.
The legal advice we received was that Runtown was wrong in his interpretation of the Rules of Court he relied on since he was already served with our Motion and was represented in Court on 31st May, 2018 when the Court adjourned to 27th September, 2018 to hear the Motion and the one filed by Runtown himself!
To turn around after that day to proceed to do what the Order barred him from doing, and what the Motion served on him (adjourned in his presence) seeks to stop, is unjustifiable under the 7-Days Rule he relied upon. That could probably apply to a person against whom an interim injunction was obtained without more’.
‘Based on this, we have done two things: One, we have obtained a ‘FORM 49’ against him to explain why he should not be sent to prison, especially when he continued to publicize fixtures for shows in Canada, Namibia, Europe etc and threaten to release more songs, both actions in defiance of the Court Order.
The application (now fixed for 8th August) has been served on him in the Punch as ordered by the Court.
Two, since we will not allow him to continue to mock the Court Order we have applied and obtained a new Injunction to stop his actions to protect the Contempt Case.
The new injunction bars him from his threatened defiant actions in Canada, Namibia, Europe etc. We believe the new Injunction has not also ‘expired’ and hope he respects the Court this time.
Please bear in mind that our main case in Court boils down to whether Runtown has discharged his monetary obligations to us and delivered one Album to us as spelt out in our Contract. He has responded, so it will be good to allow the Court to decide what each party filed.
Let both sides apply restraint. As we always say, Ericmany Limited will continue to follow the judicial process. We have confidence in the Rule of Law and will continue to patiently follow the due process until the wrong done to us by Runtown after our heavy investment on him is redressed’’, the statement ended.

Peter Okoye, now known as Mr P, says his brother Paul would insult his wife and kids and expect a Psquare performance moments later.
Peter married Lola Omotayo-Okoye in 2015 and they have two children named Cameron and Aliona. “In life what we call family value is important,” said the ‘Ebeano’ singer said on Citizen TV in Kenya.
“The fans want Psquare but how many times do you want Psquare to come back and break up. “We’ve broken up three times and the same issue is still there. So if Psquare is going to come back we need to settle that issue. Psquare might come back, they might not come back.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomosho yesterday has threatened to begin an indefinite strike if the owner-states of Oyo and Osun refuse to fulfil their agreement with the union.
A joint statement by its Chairman, Biodun Olaniran, and Secretary, Toyin Abegunrin, expressed surprise that the two governments refused to fund the university, even after it audited its personnel and accounts.
LAUTECH recently resumed from its eight month-old strike after the two states agreed to pay outstanding debt to the institution.
ASUU said the institution lacked adequate funding, while its workers were owed 10 months’ salary and promotion arrears, among others.
The union noted that besides non-payment of salary and other entitlements, there has been no infrastructural development on campus since the inception of the administration in Oyo and Osun states.

TX news reported that Mayorkun ‘s Ibadan concert was marred with cases of violence and reckless sex. The story has forced the singer to made a reaction on Twitter.
Mayorkun held a concert in Ibadan over weekend. The concert gathered a mass of Ibadan music loving residents at the Palms City Mall to enjoy the performances of artistes like Davido , Dremo and Terri of Starboy.
Upon the conclusion of the event, an online news outlet reported that the concert was flawed with violent incidents, one of which caused a journalist to be hospitalized. It was also reported that sexual activities took place while the show was going.
Mayorkun has however reacted to the news, saying that the venue of the event was overcrowded and that the reports about reckless sex came from the condoms that littered the ground where the event was held. He stated that the condoms came from people who participated in a sex awareness program which was held at the venue, but before his concert.
