You sold the phone and he informed you that the phone put him in problem, you should have appeared at least and take them to the seller. Am sure you know his location as engineer but you ghosted him.

I want to emphasize that I have never been involved in any criminal activity or had any police case, either online or offline
Do you know what it means to decline police invitation? I suggest you will need to appear at the said station to clarify your name and provide the engineer
