The lift has to be put on inspection mode before you try any of these stuffs you are talking of cos I remember uba building at marina the Otis lift there where the lift can still move with the doors open cos some lift technician bypassed it so it is always advisable to put the lift on inspection mode before rescuing is done

bro i handle this stuff almost every day.... One's the doors are open the lift can never move... All u need is to open it with the lock and Ur assistant hold the doors while u rescue ppl trapped inside, in some cases the lift stop half way, just check the upper side of the lift u can also lower if from there , but not fully at least to the level that can pass people.. it cant move unless the cables cut off which is practically impossible... Anyway I live abroad I don't know how Nigeria lift work 😁

Elevators are timed machines , most time of they stay long unused they will enter idol mood, just check the dash board to check where it stopped if the board not showing use the key open it... Make sure u are careful ooo so u will not fall check the floor it stopped go there open it with key manually, let one person hold the door for u and rescue them one by one.... If it stuck halfway that person no fit pass, go to roof turn off the lift and use lift level to lower if down then turn off and of if it didn't come back to life call lift technician... This is one of my daily routine
