I just help a friend to confirmed Direct entry admission in OAU from jamb today. he had 11,pts same with me. He also choose Elect/Elect. since Jamb just uploaded OAU lists today. I believe UI is the next to be uploaded. So if UI refuses to upload it sure jamb will. I will advise us to be checking jamb site now for the confirmation of our admission http://www.jamb.org.ng/postregistrationefacility/CheckAdmissionStatus.aspx?id=15

please note that UI do not advertise vacancy for most professional courses even when there are spaces mostly in 100 level. They do reserve them for direct entry applicants

yeah surely for UI but it depends on department vacancy

This isn't accurate, It only shows candidates with 50% and above but your course departmental cutoff points for 2012/2013 p.ume admission might be more than 50% . By checking this 2012/2013 for p.ume candidates admission statistics you should be able to estimate the no. of candidates present in 100level pertaining to your department since there number greatly influence the amount of vacancy present which can later effects the no. of applicants needed through D.E for 2013/2014 admission. check here http://ui.edu.ng/content/change-course-candidates-not-offered-provisional-admission-first-batch-list


Also I tell you, If you believe in God you don't need good grades or connection before you are chosen among the few.

of course no list is been pasted. I was only lucky to check mine (I applied with A level) due to the connection I had with the HOD. Besides, A level students are consider first before any other students. Those at the admission office knows less about it until they send them the instruction by the department. I will advise you to ask any official members in your dept provided that they are ready to give you relevant information. I went to the dept myself to verify. please I am only speaking with respect to my dept. I do not know of others dept.

I applied for D.E with GCE A Levels and I had 12points. I applied for EEE. Is there chance for admission? I am asking this because I got admission via post ume already in same school(UI) and am asked to come pay acceptance fee which will end this friday, but I don't want to pay 2 times paradventure I get the D.E admission.
What would you suggest I do?

Don't worry go and pay. you will upgrade to 200 level. At the same time your points will give you the course. your name should be among the names I saw between 1st to 5th. Upgrading is by moving from 100level admission to 200 level if you had applied for both. Before upgrading you must have been offered admission to 100 level and you must meet the cutoff points for your course in Direct entry. only A levels cert applicants I know can upgrade in ui for now. I hope it helps. Besides, I am looking forward to seeing you in my Dept next year by God's grace. 200 level

I can't say d no. of students will be admitted. I don't think anyone can check I knew the HOD that was why I was allowed. I only checked for myself and my A level friends.

reliable source in UI. The lists of qualified candidates have been sent back to admission office. just uploading is require. 70% assurance that before the end of this week. it will be out. We should all look up to God but not man at this crucial hour. I believe All z well.

I min for my dept. D best 20 results for each certificate of A level, ND and others. Then later on dey will nw choose each Number dey nid frm each Certificate for d department and if odas faild to mit up. Dey will b push to oda departments where dere are vacancies. I will advise you to verify how many students are in your department in 100 level. D number of students in 100level determine d amount of spaces therefore will determine how tight d competition will be cos dey can't admit every1 beyond d require. Each skul has a maximum number of graduates dey must produced from each dept. So far I hope it helps

Yep. D lists are ready because sum candidates have bin disqualified and I saw sum qualified name for admission for each certificate from 1st to 20th. I was told dey will now resit for anoda meeting to decide how many will b chosen from each certificate so dat odas can be moved to anoda department if dey faild to mit d minimum. Just praying but I knw I hv a gud chances cos of were my name is. It was arranged in descending oda of good grades and cert. I bliv O level also counts for dose who hv d same points in A level and in oda certficate. All z well. Still praying. Thanks. I rests for nw.

HARDUBUY: only 5 people were admitted through A' level . while 4 were admitted through ND. my senior frm yabatech was among them.
frm the above, u can deduce that 9 candidates were offered admission through DE into 200l in elect dpartment.
seems esharp is going for my dpartment too.
