I arrived from my trip to inspect my goods in Europe yesterday only to be notified of the ethnic cleansing being orchestrated by some insurgents in the politics section.

Firstly, I am a detribalised Nigerian from Anambra State, Awka to be precise. I have friends from all over the country and I recognise the need for unity in our polity. I have cautioned elements of both parties (Yorubas and Igbos) to shield their swords and discuss like men. We do not need to consistently attack each other like animals, it is unbecoming of people that are the future of the nation.

I am shocked at the way this political and tribal differences has led to the disgrace of some posters, I saw posters family pictures publicly displayed on Nairaland which is meant to be an anonymous forum. Some people will say that this expose is justified considering that some nuisances on this forum have been engaging in this behaviour for over a year. However, all is fair in war as some say.

The Admin opened a thread to address this issue but it was derailed by the usual suspects. This is a sign that there has to be zero tolerance towards this sort of behaviour.

My suggestion is that the Mods should be more vigilant and responsive to the abuse suffered by posters by old touts who are jobless and decide to make a public show of themselves. A total clampdown on miscreants that have taken over the Politics section should be implemented.

Other posters can offer their solutions as well but let us keep it civil. I have notified the Mods and any person/s who tries to derail the thread will be summarily banned.

I praise our Mods for taking swift action to address the current situation. Peace!
