The cure “worked” simply because the snake wasn’t a venomous snake or at worst a mildly venomous one. And that is around 80 percent of most of the snake species in Nigeria. Most people will not even need to take any treatment if a mildly venomous snake like the night adder bites them in Nigeria ( I know this because it bit a worker on our construction site).
