vislabraye: Is it a conversion course? Can other professions apart from engineering take it?Sure! Other professionals can take part, as long as they have interest in the Oil & Gas Industry. You have various choices to pick from depending on your interests. You could decide to go into drilling which does not require you to be an engineer (School Crtificate holders get such jobs and grow inline, you as a graduate will grow up the ladder faster and much more with a certificate showing you have some level of pre-knowledge),You could go into HSE(Health,Safety and Environment-anybody takes this),could be General petroleum (which can be didvided into many facets),and Production proper.The opportunities are vast. |

How many oil companies would value your certification?After this training, job guaranty increases as you will have IADC Certificates, which are recognised and acceptable by all Drilling companies and producing companies. the trainings will develop your convidece during the interview as you will a step ahead of other candidates that may not have access to what you already have. Companies prefer to pick candidates that wont cost them more to train or those with mor experiences. Therefore it does increases your chances of jobs! |
