Also heard, the government paid for the entire land that is now FCT. That money was paid to the state governments from where land was taken. The money was supposed to be used to resettle the indigenous population.
Can't confirm how true this is, but the fact that FCDA can seize any land lends some credence to it

To who ?

Which kind of nonsense capping is this. Yoruba people that have been growing ewa oloyin before you were born are the ones that did not engage in beans cultivation.

You have google on your phone, it wont take you anything to learn who the originators of Akara and Moin moin are. Even if you can't read articles, atleast check wikipedia and educate yourself. Yoruba slaves taken to Brazil, took their culinary skills with them the same way they took their Gods and culture.

Akara or acaraje as the Brazilians call it originated from within the afro Brazilians in Brazil, same Yoruba majority afro Brazilians that took their culture with them.

Moreover akara is not exclusive to Brazil alone; it is found all over Togo, benin, Caribbean and other places where the Yoruba culture has reached.

And the only reason the Saharan states are the highest producer of beans is because of how arable and good their land is for it cultivation, it does not mean the Yorubas never cultivated beans pre colonisation.

We are unNigerialising every of our culture and Yorubalising it just as it was meant to be cheesy

They are just stupid people. None of them read agricultural science or know anything about history.

All there best meal from Akara, Moin Moin, Egusi, Eba, etc all have origin from yorubas

I am glad no yoruba has disrespected Genevieve.

Everyone has contributed in their own manner just that we must show these online miscreants they are not at par with us

Get a brain and see the idea behind how your leaders successfully turned Oduduwa a goddess into a human being just for the sake of unification of the Yoruba people. The Ijebu king was already saying his ancestors was from wadai. Ife is an inconsequential place that was given exploits bigger than her entire existence.

Oranmiyan did not exist, he is a myth. Yorubas are not civilized. They cannot give what they don’t have

Are you brain dead or just stupid.

Why are you arguing stupidly.

You and your foolish friends are taking from here say

The other guys are giving you evidence and you keep arguing without any.

Truly a lot of bini people have truly mixed with stupid people

Even me from Bini ancestry can clearly see the stupidity of some of your stories
Politics / Unity Of Yoruba And Igbo by aljharem(m): 2:29pm On Jan 06
The unity of yorubas and igbos is based on respect.

Yorubas have no issues with igbos. You cannot be disrespecting yorubas and expect them not to defend themselves.

Are there yorubas that provoke igbos ? Yes there are.

We all need to respect each other for the sake of the future generations

says who ....

So Yoruba don't borrow words it's others that will borrow from Yoruba

Yorubas borrowed words too and have never claimed what is not ours.
For example
Alubosa is not a yoruba word
Mosa is not a yoruba word
Aboche is not a yoruba word.

Every yoruba word has its entomology

Igbo call it elele

That name is adopted

Nothing like Elele in igbo. Olele is the real word and igbos adopted it calling in elele.

Beans and melon does not grow in the south not to talk of igbo land

You need savanna to grow this, thanks to Oyo, Kwara, ekiti and Kogi

Some nairalanders are very myopic in reasoning, we are talking about a national tragedy which is a potential doom awaiting Nigeria in future and people are trivialising this issue, making it an ethnic thing. The state of our public schools is really terrible all over the country and that's where about 90 percent of common men can afford to send their kids, if we can't educate our children properly do you guys think your kids can survive in future when you're all probably dead and buried? Then there will be no Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa or whatever.

Exactly.

This is a national issue

Who will be bold to deliver another ransom when the earlier person that went to deliver the ransom was kidnapped.
God will surely punish these kidnappers in Nigeria as they will meet their waterloo very soon.

So sorry to hear

To copy isn't a problem, but not to acknowledge the original source or claiming ownership of what you borrowed or copied or stolen from somewhere is aberration.

Exactly
Jollof rice that people think it is yoruba is Senegal. (Yorubas introduced it to Nigeria)

Tuwo shinkafa is hausa ( yorubas love it)

I can keep going on and on

That's how you guys tried to claim "nwantinti" to be a Yoruba word.

Yorubas will never claim what is not theirs.

Some of our foods were introduced and we documented it

Jollof rice in Nigeria which was introduced to igbos and others is actually from Senegal

Sango is from Nupe

We don't twist history
