I don't think people are really using it to commute like it's stated. From experience, people are only riding for fun.

The train station are stationed in locations that don't really favour the masses. Imagine spending money to take taxi to the train station, the train will take you to another station and you still pay for taxi to get to your actual destination. People choose to pay for taxi instead of wasting that much money and time. You might think that should reduce the tfare, but you end up paying more than is expected.

Sometimes I wonder so much that the solution the government of this country think they're providing is actually the problem we face.
