you need to register and do all kyc on paystack it as a starter business and get your endpoint and API keys. it would take less than a week.When lovable get to the recommendation to input it put it for DB u can use any like supabase or any you like.

I have been trying to build my own Opay-like app for months without laptop.

Last week I tested Lovable.dev + ChatGPT on my phone browser and built a working dashboard in 10 minutes.

What I did:

1. Asked ChatGPT: "Act as fintech product manager, break my idea into 3 core features"
2. Pasted this prompt in Lovable.dev: "Build me a modern Nigerian fintech app dashboard with React + Tailwind, pages: Login, Dashboard showing Wallet Balance NGN, Save, Withdraw, History. Purple and white, mobile-first"
3. Used second prompt to fix UI: "Make balance bigger, add Naira sign, add bottom nav: Home, Savings, History, Profile"

I got a live link I can open on phone.

I screenshotted the result and documented the 3 prompts + steps into a 5-page mini PDF.

I'm looking for 10 serious builders to test it and give me feedback. I also created a small builders hub on WhatsApp.

Someone on my last post gave me an interesting piece of advice.

According to him, I should stop wasting my time, money and resources promoting Nexa, go and find a job, because the app won't succeed.

Apparently, it's also “1960 WhatsApp” because AI was used to build it and it's hosted on a free platform. 😂

I won't lie, that one made me laugh.

But it also got me thinking:

At what point does a new product become worth building?

Should you wait until you have millions of naira, expensive servers, a big team and thousands of users before you're allowed to build?

Or should you start with what you have, put the product in people's hands, take the criticism and improve?

I'm choosing the second option.

Nexa is not perfect. I'm not pretending it is.

But I'm building it.

AI is a tool.
Free hosting is a tool.
Neither one determines whether a product is worth pursuing.

Every established platform people use today was once a new platform with zero users.

So here's my question to Nairalanders:

Can a new Nigerian messaging platform still break through in 2026, or should we just “go find jobs”? 😂
