Good morning TV gurus.
I have this 50" Sony Bravia smart TV that I bought in 2021.
I returned from work to see that my little nephew and niece had broken the screen and instead of fixing it, I decided to get a new one.
But recently for some reasons, I decided to fix the TV after being abandoned for about 2 years. I had the screen replaced and I confirmed it was working perfectly while it was with the repairer. I sent someone to bring it home (I wasn't around at the time). While I returned after about 2 weeks, I turned it on and noticed four vertical lines on it. I am not sure if it fell or anything but the lines weren't obstructing the view and I decided to look past it.
But in less than a month, it started flickering, like it now flickers so much that I can't even enjoy watching it again. The money I spent on logistics and screen replacement could comfortably get me a new one and it's painful. My questions anyways are, was I sold a damaged screen or something happened to it during conveyance? Or the over two years abandonement could be a cause of this? Is there a solution please, TV experts?

This is most likely a simple backlight issue. I experienced same flickering on my LG tv few days ago…and got it fixed almost immediately….thanks to a video I saw on YouTube.

Yes but since we are getting into the nitty gritty, the VW V5 is not a true V layout Engine as it’s a stagard V ie hybrid btw a V and an inline Engine. If you do your research well you will get what I am saying, I decided not to delve into it cos people who are not mechanical savvy wont get it.if you not it was introduced by VW and its actually a VR5.

Check again, we are talking of V4 not V5s,I have seen Golf with V5 plenty of it.

You said the ‘V’ starts from ‘6’..

Please there is no such thing as a V4 Engine its i4, the Vs start from 5 6 and are all multiples of plus 2
